Bit of a wait... but worth it

Apart from the long wait from diagnosis to titration, I found the process fairly easy to follow, the only thing I would say is that the communication between these periods was so sparse I rang to make sure I was still on the list. Even an automated email every couple of weeks would suffice to show you were still on the system.

When I did speak to Imran about my titration and the next steps, I was treated kindly and professionally with emphasis on making sure my current health was ok and making sure I understood all the possibilities that lay ahead. No stone went unturned. I felt seen and listened to for the first time in I don't know how many years.

I understand it is in our nature to be impatient, but hold in there, there are so many trying to get sorted that unfortunately a wait is inevitable.

Dear Miss Napper,

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your understanding throughout the process.

We're really pleased to hear that Imran made you feel listened to, supported and comfortable discussing your treatment. It's wonderful to know that he took the time to explain everything thoroughly and ensure you felt confident about the next steps.

We also appreciate your feedback about communication during the waiting period. We understand how reassuring regular updates would be, and this is something we're continuing to work on improving.

Thank you again for your patience and kind words. We're glad your experience with Imran was such a positive one.

Warm regards,
The Care ADHD Team

Referral time is way longer than faq

I was referred by the GP, submitted the forms the beginning of September but still no one contacted me to book any appointments.

The FAQ estimate 1-2 weeks but over 6 weeks have passed and it’s radio silence. When I contacted them, twice, a month apart, all I get is generic email saying I’m ready to book and the details are with the booking team. I doubt if anyone actually nudge the team and see if there’s anything stopping me from being booked.

Dear RM,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how important it is to receive timely updates when starting your ADHD assessment journey.

We would like to clarify that referrals can take some time for our team to process and review. Once the required forms have been completed and reviewed, patients move to the "Ready to Book Assessment" stage.

Our current estimated waiting time from this stage is approximately 1 to 2 weeks. However, please note that waiting time estimates are subject to change depending on demand and clinical availability.

If there is any missing information or anything preventing your referral from progressing, our team will contact you directly.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team works to support patients through the assessment process.

Warm regards,
The Care ADHD Team

To call their support non existent would be an understatement

CareADHD show complete disregard for the wellbeing of their patients.

I'm now having to face a period without my medication because they lied about prescribing it when they hadn't I'm now sat on hold (with no real hope of getting through) because, having contacted their partner pharmacy, I have just been told that they still haven't issued a prescription. That's twice I've been told they have and twice that they haven't.

CareADHD are also impossible to speak to. They do not respond to Emails. The Live Chat gives out false information and, itself, takes forever to even give you a response. Phoning them is utterly pointless unless you happen to enjoy hold music.

They continue to show that they cannot be trusted to deal with controlled medication.

Avoid.

Been waiting months for my tritation…

Been waiting months for my tritation appointment. Nothing comes through and when I tried to speak to them it takes an hour to get through and then Ella just fobbed me off with generic pre written responses and went silent on me. Total waste of my time and I’m no closer to getting my appointment. Don’t let the quick diagnostic appointments fool you they will leave you waiting for months and months and then good luck speaking to someone who can help/ cares (care….adhd 🤔)

Dear Tom,

We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must be to wait for a titration appointment while also struggling to get the information and support you're looking for.

We appreciate that spending a considerable amount of time trying to contact our team, only to feel that your concerns haven't been properly addressed, can add to an already frustrating situation. Our teams genuinely care about supporting patients, and we're sorry that your interactions have left you feeling otherwise.

Titration appointments are arranged through our Ready to Book queue, which patients enter once their required forms have been completed and clinically reviewed. Due to demand exceeding earlier expectations, waiting times have increased, and we continue to expand our clinical and bookings capacity to help address this.

We recognise that patients need more than general updates when seeking reassurance about their treatment. Improving communication and ensuring patients feel heard and supported remain important priorities for us.

Warm regards,
The Care ADHD Team

There is such a delay in people getting back to you , also if you have to get in touch with the person who is dealing with your case they take up to 3/4 weeks to get back to you . I use to call everyday to find out where my Pescription was when I finally got through after being on hold for over an hour only to have to wait another week or 2 for a return call/email and when I got medicated i run out then have to wait 2/3 week with no Pescription then have to wait another week for them to be delivered.
Very unhappy and concerned for my treatment that I had to jump through hoops to get .

Dear Barry,

We're really sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration caused by difficulties contacting our team and delays with your medication.

We understand how important continuity of treatment is and how concerning it can be to experience gaps in medication, particularly when you're already trying to manage your ADHD.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries, which has affected our response times. Our teams are working hard to support patients as quickly as possible, and we are continuing to increase capacity across our clinical, bookings and patient support teams.

We recognise how important timely communication and reliable access to treatment are, and we remain committed to improving these aspects of our service.

The emails were clear and understandable. Clear lines of communication. Overall very happy with all the service I received.i would highly recommend them.

Awful

Awful. Literally never answer the phones and trying to get any support via email is virtually impossible. Noone seems to know what they're doing and just acknowledge complaints without doing anything .

10 months on and still nothing.

Note the stock reply below - fails to mention that Care ADHD revenue grew from £1.9 million in its first year to £37.1 million.

Dear Tony,

We're sorry to hear about your frustration with the waiting times and difficulties contacting our team. We understand how disappointing it can be when you're waiting for support and struggling to get updates.

To clarify how our titration waiting list works, the waiting period begins from the date the required titration forms are completed, rather than the date of diagnosis. Once these have been clinically reviewed and the patient is ready to proceed, they enter our Ready to Book queue. Our Bookings Team contacts patients when they reach the appropriate stage.

Due to high demand, waiting times have extended beyond earlier estimates. We are continuing to increase our clinical and bookings capacity to help patients progress through the pathway.

We are also experiencing a significant volume of enquiries, and our teams are working hard to respond as quickly as possible. We recognise the importance of clear communication and remain committed to improving our patients' experience.

Warm regards,
The Care ADHD Team

The way the questions were asked and structured were helpful and guided which is very much necessary for someone like myself with an awful memory and a busy head! Care UK in general were efficient in the entire process, right from the initial referral. Thankyou :)

Dear Melanie,

We're sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced trying to contact our team and arrange your medication review.

We are currently receiving a significant increase in patient enquiries, which is affecting our response times across email and telephone channels. Our teams are working hard to respond to patients as quickly as possible, and we appreciate how frustrating it can be to wait for assistance, particularly when it concerns ongoing treatment.

We are continuing to increase our Patient Support and Bookings Team capacity to help improve response times and make it easier for patients to access the support they need.
