Nhs pathway, applied for titration in May and have been chasing constantly, a flurry of questionnaires arrived so thought great its happening, phoned to ask when appointment will be to be told upto another 5 months!!!! We have been waiting since May and its now mid October. Really not acceptable as when we went on titration waiting list was approximately 12 weeks.
Do not use this company unless you want to be left on the waiting list for titration for upto 10 months.

Very professional and caring approach. Easy to understand and quick to give me feedback
I’ve just read another review with the same issues we are having. It’s just so frustrating when the wait times are so different, with some clients raving about how fast it is (the majority it feels like) and then to feel like your child must be at the bottom of a pile then, as we also started off the Right to Choose process in April.
Referral 28th April 2026
Accepted 22th June 2026
Sent an email to check they had everything they needed to then be told, oops, we missed a form, sorry!
Returned missing form on the same day, 3rd September 2026
…..Nothing at all since. I have emailed to check they now have everything but we still don’t know. We have been in limbo since June 2024 when we first started this journey with the NHS and it’s so depressing not being able to get your child any help.
I have no issue waiting, but it’s waiting blind all the time. Just a little communication, something as minor as ‘we haven’t forgotten you’, or ‘you are on a list longer than Santa’s gift list’ etc would make the process so much more bearable. It’s all about managing expectations. Please don't give unrealistic timescales for RTC if you can’t get anywhere near them to start with. Of course people are going to choose you with an estimated wait time of 4 weeks..

My experience with CARE has been really positive. Quick communication and a lovely clinician for my assessment.
Excellent communication with the assessor and made me feel very comfortable explaining me problems 🙂
Peter my assessor was amazing. Incredibly understanding, kind and his humour was infectious. I felt relaxed enough to answer his questions with relative ease. After the assessment, I felt relieved, happy and sad at the same time. If only I knew this was what I had when I was younger. Life could have been so different!!
once forms etc was completed did not wit long for assessment
lady was really helpful made me feel at ease explained the process i am grateful as now I have a bit of a better understanding of who I am now i am going to do research on the best way to manage my diagnosis
once again thank you for all your help
For parents considering Care ADHD for a child ADHD/autism assessment.
When we were referred, Care ADHD specified in writing that the waiting time for a child's assessment was 4 weeks.
We are now over 6 months into the process and still do not have an assessment date.
Timeline:
8 April – Referral submitted to Care ADHD.
28 May – Referral accepted by Care ADHD.
24 July – Care ADHD confirmed all required forms and documents had been received and that our child was "Ready to Book".
11 October – Nearly 3 months after being told we were "Ready to Book", we are still waiting for an assessment appointment and have not been given any indication of when one may be available.
We submitted a formal complaint. Following its investigation, Care ADHD partially upheld our concerns regarding:
1. the length of the wait for assessment;
2. waiting time expectations; and
3. communication and updates.
In their final response, Care ADHD acknowledged that our experience had exceeded the expectations we had when entering the service (expectations that were based on their published information) and stated that they are unable to provide a reliable timescale for when an ADHD and autism assessment will be booked.
Our experience has therefore been:
Advertised wait time: 4 weeks
Actual wait so far: 6+ months, with no assessment date and no timescale for one being provided.
I am posting this review so other parents have a realistic understanding of the timescales they may experience.
I would not recommend Care ADHD based on my experience so far.

Good communication, really knowledgeable staff, good waiting times. It's not the easiest - filling out a bunch of forms about ADHD when you have ADHD(!), but the online portal was easy to navigate, and the admin team was really helpful with sorting out any extra info they needed to get the best outcome for me. Highly recommended.
The most user friendly forms, clear communication with clear deadlines and to do/what happens next.
The assessor, was very clear on what was relevant, what needed discussion and gently helped me stay on track. If I strayed onto issues or things not as relevant, this was acknowledged with empathy and support.
The responses were timely and clear with clear details. I felt heard. Post assessment, the report was swift to come with a lot of supporting documentation appended and an e-mail with clear next steps.
I am now awaiting the next stage.
A very positive experience. Thank you.
Absolutely rubbish. I’ve contacted them 4 times im now out of my medication no response from them. They have let me down and should be reported to cqc for the lack of engagement. I’ve now been out of my medication for two weeks.

Found this company really good and the assessor was great, friendly and explained everything really well
This is the third time that due to CareADHD's complete incompetence I have missed being allocated medication. This has left me distraught, anxious and wondering how will I cope.
For example, they don't call or follow up with the titration calls. Worse, this week I was promised a follow up email and a new prescription. NOTHING. I've now run out of meds again and will be following up with a formal complaint.

I get very clear reminders of appointments.
The clinician is very patient with me and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable
Very easy to book an assessment, lots of appointment time options to choose from, everything happened as they said it would.
Great, prompt communications. Very sensitive and personable assessor. Quick feedback from the assessment and suggestions for how to manage during the wait for the next step/titration. I just wish this could be sooner. But thank you
After being on the waiting list for over 2 years through NHS I’ve asked my GP for the right to chose and been put on a waiting list with CARE ADHD for my assessment, which was much shorter to do online assessment request, and was done within weeks! That gave me hope . However no one showed up for my scheduled appointment! Which was very confusing.
Since I am struggling already with perimenopausal symptoms, having HRT in place to manage my symptoms and being overwhelmed tremendously, I’ve taken time before requesting another appointment. I was delt fairly quickly and received apologies for the error. Which again gave me hope for much needed care as at this point I don’t need only diagnosis, I need medication to help me with focus and to be able to carry on with life.
I have received my diagnosis and been told this will be shared with my GP. I was asked if I would consider medication which I’ve confirmed.
I wasn’t advised what to do and how to approach titration though . I went to my GP who said I have shared care created in place indeed, but I need to as them for medication. Again with me already struggling to cope , function and stay on the top of my daily task I’ve taken time to ask to be referred for medication assessment. Everything at this point is so overwhelming to me . I have done that request over 4 weeks ago and being put in the que, which says it takes over 5 months for that appointment to happen in some cases 9 months! I am in daily paralysis, avoiding most tasks and able to do very little throughout each day and yet I burn out very quickly, I am a single mum who is unable to provide care to special need child because of my state of mind and my daily struggle and being told that medication which I believe is crucial in my daily life ,is going to take months to be reviewed! My daughter has anxiety,ADHD annd anwiti autism assessment and is needing my care, support but I can’t get care for myself to be able to help her and my other child, and meet my children needs. It’s very difficult to cope knowing that you are struggling daily for years now and not receiving needed help. Not knowing where else to turn to get help in the form on medication. Never felt left so hopeless in my life as I feel now at age 45 , struggling to make through each day and not knowing when I’ll receive help.
