Beware of automatic renewal price…
Beware of automatic renewal price increases.
My yearly renewal for 2026 was double the previous year. When I followed up to cancel my subscription and request a refund they offered me an additional 3yrs at no extra cost which was a reasonable per year renewal.
This is a shady business practice, charging a ridiculous price and only correcting after your customer follows up to cancel.
Although the service itself is fine, I will not be renewing my subscription.

Cannot view tv viewing apps
The service is generally good and connections are fast.
However some websites/apps (ITVX) I would view from abroad are now aware that you are using nord vpn so don’t allow you to view what you want.
In the end I had to purchase another vpn in order to view.

Bit of a con
They offered a month subscription. I didn’t realise they expected me to cancel it. I didn’t use it but they said they had no way of knowing. I don’t believe them. Of course they have volume statistics. They will not refund me my unused period.

Described as “Simple” ! I’m a 63 year old who expected to sign up , be protected & that would be the end of it ! No chance & when a question came about “ choose ya dns server “ , that was the last straw ! I’m no techy but the amount of input needed was not what I was expecting & certainly not advertised ! Also half of my other stuff doesn’t work & I can’t use my personal hot spot ! I requested a refund, which they approved but they say it will take ten days to get to me , I could get to the moon & back in that time ! I wouldn’t touch this product with a barge pole ! Market leader , jeez , what are the worst like ! Nil pois !

Nord VPN and NordPass are great
Nord VPN and NordPass are great. They both make the computer / internet world so much easier and safer to navigate. These apps do everything they are advertise and more. For me, I cannot put a price on my peace of mind when I am on the internet
I have it on all my and my family's devices. Of course, it is not magic and we all still must perform our "due diligence but it makes this non-computer techs life so much easier (especially at 78 years old).

Fast, reliable, many options.
Their VPN rarely suffers downtime.
They operate out of Panama where they are not required by law to keep logs and the parent company is based in the EU - which means their non-US servers at least are out of US jurisdiction and the US Cloud Act.
Considering the many hops required, the speed hit is pretty reasonable.
They offer many service options and have servers in many countries.
I have used them for several years now with Linux and Android.
