Written by the company

NoVex Trade teaches first year tradespeople how to read a paycheck and manage what is left. Lessons cover a paystub decoder, a plan for splitting the first deposit, and side work that arrives with no tax withholding. Nothing connects to a bank or payroll account, so learners type the numbers straight off their own stub. Plans start free, run nine dollars a month, and schools buy seats.

my son actually opened it

I bought the sixty nine dollar year for my son when he started his HVAC apprenticeship, because he came home with his first check and just handed it to me and said I don't know. I emailed first to ask whether the monthly or the year made more sense for someone who might quit in three months, honestly, and they wrote back and said start him on the free one and upgrade if he sticks. Nobody tried to talk me into the bigger plan, which I noticed. He did stick. He does the splitting your first deposit one and now he tells me what his deductions are instead of the other way around.

the side work one

I weld Monday to Friday and take cash jobs on weekends and I had never once put anything aside for taxes on those. The side work lesson is the only thing I have read that explained it without making me feel stupid about it. I set the money aside now. That is the whole review.

I was on the $9-a-month plan and went…

I was on the $9-a-month plan and went in to change my card details, but somehow ended up on the annual plan. I'll take some responsibility for that, but what frustrated me was the support response time. I emailed on Friday morning, and didn't hear back until Tuesday afternoon, by which point I'd already been worried about the $69 charge.
When they finally replied, the response was polite and they sorted the issue, although the adjustment only applies at the next billing cycle. The lessons themselves are good, and I particularly enjoyed the overtime one. I just wish the support response had been faster and clear.
