Novo banco sacavem ,

Novo banco sacavem ,, Their staff is very bad and they are not happy with their work. If someone goes to the bank at 2 pm, they have to say, "Come tomorrow, the bank is closed."sacavem only ladies staff, staff behaviour is very bad ,Even if an immigrant speaks Portuguese with them, they ignore him and repeatedly insult him, saying that they don't understand.There was a slightly older lady sitting there, her behavior was very bad.I request whoever handles Portugal Novo Bank to suspend all the staff at Sacavem. The staff is very bad.

Choose another bank

Very unhelpful customer service and general incompetence. You have to sort out your own issues, the bank branch staff wont help you. We were supposed to have our mortage with them, to set up the account we need to transfer €250. So we did. They hired some guy to evaluate the house to calculate how much mortage they would give us. The guy evaluated the house very low and was comparing the 5 bedroom house to 2 bedroom houses in the same area? So we didn't go with that mortage. Then we had to close the account. We called. They said to do it on the app. But they still didn't send us our pins so the account was not activated. So we went to a branch. The woman helping us was not at all helping. She said she couldn't access our accounts and that we had to call customer service. We did. Customer service told us to go to the bank. Then the woman is able to help us close the bank all of a sudden. She also gives us our pins in an envelope, which obviously we don't need. She says we will receive the €250 as a check in the mail after 2 months, because apparently our account was already closed automatically? Which is great because obviously we are getting a mortage because we are moving. She tells us she can't help us once more and that we need to call customer service. We do and she says that she will tell us when our funds become available to us and that we will be able to take the money out of an ATM if she manages to open the account again. Oh and btw, we apparently have to pay €300 for the house evaluation so this whole experience cost us a lot of money for a lot of grief. Absolute garbage bank. Please avoid.

Customer service does not know what I meant by "sold a stock on Novo Banco app"

I must admit all NOT customer service at Novo banco are horrible because the 2nd one I spoke to was very well minded and quick to answer my concern. But when you encountered the customer service who not only could not understand the simple thing you said, but also gaslighting you, it is BS. My issue was after I sold a stock through Novo Banco app today, I did not receive confirmation email as always, nor able to find the selling action appeared in "recent actions" in my portfolio, hence I called the line. It is a simple and straightforward question for me to ask and for anyone who works as customer service at a bank to understand, which is "Can you confirm if my selling of a stock through Novo Banco app, around XX time, is successful or no?" But the 1st customer service just could not get what I was asking but keep questioning me back"do you want to check how much money you have in the bank ? What exactly are you asking?" " Im only here to help you." After I repeated my request one more time, such person put me on hold and never came back. In AI era, people should learn to get job done better in case of elimination by machines.

Was the easiest to setup a business…

Was the easiest to setup a business account with, and the only one that spoke english of the counters we tried (tried Santander and Montepio). The app is thousands times better then the Montepio one as well, really happy with the service.

Unprofessional so badly it seems part of the workflow

Novo Banco is not transparent about costs, never. Even if you pay an amount due afterwards they always come with process costs or hidden interest/ taxes. The worst of it is not that they are crooks but just incompetent and unprofessional in general. They almost killed us financially by leaving out costs or procedures that cost money until they send you an invoice or just deduct money from your account. Will never do business with them again. Last example is wanting to close a businesscard, I fulfilled the debt on the card and afterwards I get an email stating an urgent payment is needed of a relatively small amount of 50 euro's to process the payment. But they do worse with a lot bigger amounts in my experience. Don't use them for anythin important, they will mess it up and you will be paying, the company is clueless

The customer service is excellent

The customer service is excellent, especially in private banking. I am able to easily reach my assigned contact by WhatsApp and the response is always quick. It is easy to take an appointment in person when needed. I use them both for personal banking and for commerce. I highly recommend them.

"Pourriez-vous me donner les informations pour ouvrir un compte dans votre établissement, s'il vous plaît ?"
En portugais, en anglais...
Et d'avoir à demander "s'il vous plaît, pourriez-vous faire les choses simplement ?"
La personne de l'accueil est plutôt mal aimable. Et me demandais encore et encore : "Quels documents avez-vous ?"
Très mauvaise expérience...

Forçado a repetir minha pergunta 4 vezes:
“Você poderia me dar os dados para abrir uma conta no seu estabelecimento, por favor?”
Em português, em inglês...
E ter que perguntar “por favor, você poderia fazer isso de forma simples?”
A recepcionista é bastante hostil. E me perguntou repetidas vezes: "Que documentos você tem?"
Experiência muito ruim...

Forced to repeat my question 4 times:
“Could you give me the information to open an account with your establishment, please?”
In Portuguese, in English...
And having to ask “please, could you do this simply?”
The receptionist is rather unfriendly. And asked me again and again: "What documents do you have?"
Very bad experience...

Third Class non professional

Third Class. Bank staff doesn't know about their own bank procedures. We sent money to Georgia a staff confirmed it will be received in GEL there they changed 35 Euro and money not received there as its not converted and on refund they deducted another 62 Euro. Totally uneducated staff who don't know their own procedures. They need some basic training of their own bank. All trainees working there

NovoBanco CRAP BANK

NovoBanco has been extremely disappointing. They charged me 25 euros for a lost card, which I've never encountered with any other bank. Additionally, they take commissions despite already profiting from holding our money. The service is incredibly slow, and they charge for everything. Closing the account is also inconvenient, as it requires an in-person visit to the branch.

I’ve since opened an account with Moey, which is free and has no charges. NovoBanco is the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. Absolutely pathetic.

if i could do -5 i would the bank of…

if i could do -5 i would the bank of tavira , guimares are the worst to work with. I need to have a closing of deed where you pay back the loan and the due balance to the client .They hide behind rules customer service is NO ware to be found only money that needs to go towards them. Again they hide behind rules and once its finally done you are 2 months further . PLEASE DONT GO TO NOVOBANCO NOWHERE IN PORTUGAL THEY ARE THE WORST UNPROFESSIONAL AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE BANK. DONT BE FOOLED

I have been a regular customer of novo bank for 6 years. Some time ago I received an email from the bank. It said that the document that you have submitted for summit is about to expire, so please submit a valid document summit before the deadline expires. For that, I went to the nearby novobanco praca do chile 3 weeks ago to do my valid document summit. At 2 pm, he told me that you don't want me to do your work today, so come on another day. I said okay. After a week again I went at 11 am then I was returned that there is a problem in the system. And today also went on 2024/04/22 just to do the document summit the same employee (he is wearing glasses and also has a beard) the system is malfunctioning. He said. I don't know if this irresponsible carelessness belongs to Novo Bank or its employees. Why don't you wait a day to cut money but leave no stone unturned to hurt us? Therefore, I want to say 0 point to novo banco praca do chile near my house. And pay special attention to the facilities to be given to the customer in the coming days. No one should suffer unnecessarily. thank you

Corrupt bank still corrupt

Staff must be trained to ignore you. The contact email just tells you what they can't do and redirects you to the website .This bank stole ²/³ of my money, never a mention of when they are going to pay it back . I note you are sending complaint to info@ A complete waste of time.

NB is not a professional bank

Wrote an email the 24th of november and explained how disappointed I was with NB rude personal etc etc and if it was a professional bank they had answered... we are sorry et etc but they cant even say that ( and answer on mail have always take time even the slightes and easy mails ) this bank is not a professional bank and they are really a discriminatory bank to foreigners its in the ground and coming from above and going further down to the personal on the floor thats it !!!!!!! ( although there is exceptions its the small ones that don´t show up when you need them !!!

The worst bank in Portugal Ever.

I have an account at BES (Now is Novobanco) for more than 20 years, with applications and investments, the bank doesn't CARE about their costumers.

Contacting them through messages - they wont reply before 3 weeks, not once I have received a reply on time.

Now, they charge me 11,50euros to CHANGE a card Pin...
Unbelievable!

Staff is Sooooo rude .

Don't use this bank if you want things to go smoothly.

The most worst bank
Novo Bank Gaia branch is the most worst branch ever I saw in my life. Staff don't have any kind of knowledge before doing anything. If you have any problem they will not pick your call. There is a word in English called Social Etiquette, which they don't have. 😡

That's a bu*ll*sh*it bank

That's a bull*sh*it bank. It's been 1 month I can't able to spend my money. I applied for a bank account, and when I applied, they told me that 1 can spend money immediately. And when my salary added to the account now, they told me l've to wait minimum 2 month for confirmation sms. Otherwise, I can't spend my own money. What nonsense they are. Even 1 emailed them trying to contact with them, but they didn't respond to my email. Be aware if you want to create an account
