I signed up to NOW Sky Sports and…

I signed up to NOW Sky Sports and realised only one month in that I had been placed into a 12-month minimum term contract. I contacted customer services straight away to explain my situation.

I currently live in a very remote location outside the UK, and the service does not stream reliably due to bandwidth limitations. Live matches repeatedly buffer and disconnect, which makes the membership effectively unusable. I explained this clearly and asked whether there was any flexibility given that I was only one month into the contract and unable to use the service properly.

Unfortunately, there was no willingness to review my case or show any understanding of the situation. I was simply told that I had agreed to the terms and there was nothing they could do.

I accept responsibility for agreeing to the contract, but I am extremely disappointed by the complete lack of flexibility or empathy, especially when the service cannot be used as intended. Being locked into a 12-month sports contract for a streaming service that does not function properly in my location feels unreasonable.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this service. Please check the minimum term very carefully before signing up, as you may receive no support if your circumstances change.

I’m extremely disapComplaint Regarding Subscription and Customer Servicepointed with how…

I’m extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

I signed up for the subscription through my TV, and there were no clear terms presented at the time. I normally choose pay-as-you-go options, but I’ve now discovered that I’ve been locked into a 12-month contract without this being made clear to me.

To make matters worse, when I tried to resolve this through live chat, the representative struggled to communicate clearly and was unable to assist me properly.

This feels misleading and unfair. I would like this issue reviewed immediately and the contract cancelled without penalty. Please confirm how you intend to resolve this.

Like everyone else on here this company is just scammers. I stupidly signed up for a free month trial and canceled same day I signed up. The fraudulently keep taking money out my account under different references. It’s become that bad that the only way is to change bank that I have been with over 40 years

This company has the worst abusive commercial policies…

This company has the worst abusive policies I have ever seen from a service provider in UK. I subscribed for a trial where was a clear statement that I can cancel anytime and after a month I cancelled and 2 months later they are still charging my account even if I requested to cancel because I am not interested to continue. They refuse to cancel and pretend that I have to stay 1 year with them !!! Its ridiculous. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST

Avoid Avoid Avoid

They will not refund money they have taken from your bank, even when you have shown them you have no active subscriptions. The AI customer service abruptly ended the conversation after asking, "Have I resolved everything?".

Terrible customer service.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR NOW

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR NOW. I purchase the Cinema membership and we had so many issues with streaming. I tried to cancel my membership but didn’t hear back from NOW. I have now been charged a further £18.99 for another months subscription which I do not want as the platform is rubbish - the films freeze and the picture and sound don’t always match. Tried contacting customer service multiple times and haven’t heard anything back.

Misleading Billing — Payments Taken Without Notice

I signed up for a one‑month free trial with NOW TV and received the initial email confirming it. Once the free month ended, they charged me for the next month, which was stated in the terms, so I accepted that part.

However, what’s frustrating is that I never received any emails from them after that first one. For over a year they continued taking payments without sending a single reminder or notification. Because the charges appeared as “Sky” on my bank statements, and I already had Sky TV, I didn’t realise that I was still being billed for NOW TV — especially since I only used the service on the first day of the trial.

Overall, I’m disappointed by the lack of communication and how easy it was for these charges to go unnoticed.

Paid to watch the the game still wouldn't work. The most frustrating app. A shambles and I tell everyone to stay away from it as they will take your money but won't let you see the game most of the time. A useless app!!!

NOW Broadband: an exercise in futility

I've (stupidly) been with NOW broadband for a number of years and I'm absolutely sick of the intermittent service, the telephone-only 'customer support' that is less than useless. I've tried to call numerous times to get through to a man who 'can't' hear me or has such a thick accent I have no idea what they're taking about. Very often they just drop the call. I'm not a tech thicko so repeatedly restarting the router isn't going to work, regardless of how many times I'm told to do it. I'm definitely going to vote with my money and take my business elsewhere.

Just had a phone call from Now TV to tell me they could upgrade my broadband and include Netflix for £35. Asked them how long the contract is, they said 24 months. I asked him to email me a quote as moving house next month so can use as a comparison. Got hung up on immediately after asking this. Have always received dreadful service and this tops it.
