I recently phoned NRMA on two separate occasions to enquire about two separate insurances: i) car and 2) home. On both occasions, the support and service were outstanding. The staff were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and professional, and they made the process clear and reassuring. I greatly appreciated the quality of assistance I received and would happily rate my experience 5/5.

My experience was very positive. The staff member (Elise) was professional, patient, and easy to communicate with over the phone. They listened carefully, answered all my questions clearly, and showed a genuine willingness to help. What stood out most was their calm and friendly approach, along with their strong communication and customer service skills. The company is doing well in providing supportive and respectful service, making customers feel heard and valued throughout the interaction.

Just a short note to say thank you to NRMA Claims staff for their thorough and efficient handling of my claim under Landlord Insurance following a recent intense storm. Not easy to separate insurance responsibilities when there was Strata and Landlord Insurers. NRMA were clear and very fair in determining what was covered. My interactions with Claims staff was caring and very pleasant and they should be recognized for doing a great job. thankyou

As a licenced repairer in WA i find it disgusting that NRMA can steel my customers in this case this customer has been using my services for 25 years, and now she is told by NRMA she cant use me, Perth Panel & Paint est in 1993 this is called Steering and its not legal NRMA has created their PDS with a little box that needs to be ticked if the policy holder wishes to have a choice of repairer and of coarse nobody reads that.NRMA previously tried charging PH a higher premium for a choice of repairer that was stopped when ACCC heard of it , so now the little box is their new trick !

Honestly horrible customer service, I get that I was the other party involved, but i didn’t expect that I have to baby them on how to do their job. I had to tell them to contact the towing company just so I can get my car assessed, like come on how hard is it. Then they wanted to get another towing company involved so they could tow my completely written off car to my house (how does that even make sense). Then on top of that they wanted me to pay for the tow fees which is ridiculous because i am completely covered as i was not at fault. Then I said I don’t want to pay, when I was not at fault and she proceeded to say that means there is nothing they can do refusing to do what they are legally suppose to do when a client of theirs is at fault. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life, no compassion or care at all.

I called to ask a general question about how my mother gets a new permanent car (after she was hit by another car pulling out of being parked & wasn’t insured). It took 5 phone calls to finally get thru to ask this. The operator instead of just answering the question went on thanking me for the call & proceeded to repeat back numerous times about providing a hire car!! Instead of answering my question - how does my mother get another car with no out of pocket expenses as she wasn’t at fault.
A simple answer of NRMA covering the payout was all I wanted to know, 5 mins to give an answer yet it took 5 calls & 20 frustrating minutes.
I didn’t want a parrot repeating me just a quick answer, not hard.. worst over the phone response.

They make claiming difficult & cumbersome as possible, 45 minutes between being put on hold & trying to communicate with a person named Gav whose command of the English language wasn’t worth a 1 star rating . Avoiding the claim won’t help them , if your reading this & your having problems make sure you draw it to the attention of AFCA

I am thrilled that I rang NRMA to get a quote and ended up taking out the Policy on the spot because the Policy was so comprehensive in its cover. The consultant Cheryl was amazing, so helpful, friendly and professional. My husband and I are extremely happy that we have gone with NRMA Insurance and thoroughly recommend NRMA for Insurance.

We have an EV car and not many insurer seem to be able to give us a quote (2025) and NRMA came in the cheapest. What impressed me though was when we have to make a claim because of chips on windscreen - we have additional windscreen cover without excess - the experience of being guided through the claim process by Kyth and then put us through to the windscreen repairer so that it is one stop shop was amazing.

I removed payment info and was still was charged for comprehensive insurance.
The website wont allow you to cancel without ringing them.
"Please allow up to 15 days for your refund to be received."
This alone warrants a 1 star IMO.
Nothing takes 15days in a digital world for a policy that was cancelled before it actually started.

Extremely easy and clear to obtain the online quote, pricing was very reasonable. I was very happy to proceed with my second policy with NRMA.

Always helpful and easy to navigate the website. Prices are always competitive 😊
