Failed repair work, lack of concern

Obtained an inspection of my AC for my truck. Was provided input on the repair and costs. I agreed to the repair and took the vehicle home. Noticed the next day that the AC was not working and that the outside breeze was cooler than my AC. Brought the vehicle back only to be told that they basically missed $600 in cost and they wouldn't charge me for the recharge of the coolant.

I can't fathom how something this incomplete and this expensive could have passed inspection. Then zero real concern that they made that big of a mistake.

NTB should have eaten the cost of installation of parts because they failed to perform on the first engagement.

I can't trust people like that and won't ever be back, I see zero advantage to using them.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!!

This store is absolute TRASH when it comes to customer service!
I barely made it to the store after suffering a blow out on the highway and refilling the tire with just enough air to get it replaced. The store closed at 4pm and I made it in around 3:52pm. When I arrived they had already put up the gates around the store, closed down almost all of the bays, and turned off the registers! I waited in the lobby for the manager, who was on the phone until 4:01pm. Two of the crew passed me up in the lobby several times after finishing a wiper replacement and check on another vehicle, and did not say a word to me or ask if I needed any help. When he finally came out, I explained to him my issue and he didn't even bother to do a courtesy check on my vehicle, he told me that he could not help me because on Sundays they are short staffed and have short hours, so he lets the crew clean up at 3:45, they turn off all machines, and he couldn't help me. He even admitted that he saw me when I pulled up on the cameras. The manager then re-emphasized that he couldn't do anything to help me and asked me to come back in the morning. While he was saying this, three of his employees walked to the front registers and clocked out right there in front of me! The manager then stated, "See, yeah, my guys are already clocked out so if you come back tomorrow we can take a look at it." I was FURIOUS because I literally barely made it there, but now I had no choice but to leave. Thankfully, I live in the area and made it into my driveway right before the tire went completely flat again.

I contacted corporate, who said that they talked to the GM who would talk to the associate about this; then asked me to bring it back in today. HELL NO! This basically means that they don't take accountability for how they mistreat their customers! I purchased an entire new set of tires from Discount Tire and would have purchased them from NTB had I not been mistreated in my time of need. I definitely won't be back there again and urge you to STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Again, BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO NTB CYPRESS! They do not care about their customers, they are more concerned about clocking out on time!

In Bel Air

In Bel Air, MD I have went to get 2 new tires and after waiting for 1 hr, I was told the rim broke during the repair. They voluntarily had replaced both of my wheels at no cost! I was very impressed by that.

Very honest bunch of employees work in that store. They place high value on keeping their customer base happy so that they return.

I had NTB replace all (4) tires and do an alignment. No issues with the vehicle prior to the tires just worn. After I had the tires replaced i drove the vehicle. Violent shaking at 70-80 MPH undrivable. Took the car back to the NTB who rebalanced the tires and checked the alignment. NTB said the weight had fallen off the vehicle. Drove the car again and same issue. Furthermore I asked a blub to be replaced, they said it was a wiring issue and couldn't be fixed but charged me for a new blub. No only did they replace the wrong blub but installed incorrectly. I replaced the blub and it worked just fine, but the blub which needed replacement still wasn't fixed. requested a full refund for a competent shop to fix the vehicle. Unbelievable

Horrible

Horrible - Same story after making appointment for rotation . Show up and they say sorry only one mechanic available. Why the f is the store even open then ? If you can’t run the operation efficiently for your customers face facts and close ! I’ll never buy anything again from them . Free rotation was part of my tire deal. Shame I used to like them. I’ll never step foot in there again . Not the worker’s fault. They only can utilize what manpower Is available. Typical regional management blunder. You can’t run a repair place of business with one guy in back. Well maybe in hooterville . My advice close up .

A Business That’s Falling Apart

I’m totally shocked about this issue. I set up two oil changes a week ago for my car, and my wife car as well. I never had an issue with this company before until now. They told me to drop my car off early in the morning or Thursday night since the appointment was for Friday so I dropped it off Thursday night. They said once they complete my oil change, I can pick up my car around lunch time, and then leave my wife car so that both of them will be done by closing time. I called them several times asking for my car when I noticed that it was getting closer to they’re closing time. I was told that it’s still in the air. Everyone knows that an oil change doesn’t take long. He said he’ll call me when it’s finished. I never received a call from them, neither did my wife car ever made it to they’re shop. We were supposed to be headed out of town that Friday night, and had to cancel everything because of they’re poor services. This is very very very unprofessional, when you have already set up an appointment a week in advance. They also keep calling me using someone else number when they have one of my cars thinking it’s me. I have spoken to them about putting the correct phone number of mines into they’re system. They’re always pretending to correct it while I’m standing in front of them, but it’s still the same problem. They’re been changing my number in they’re system for 2 years now, and haven’t changed it yet.

NOT FEMALE FRIENDLY

Do not go to this shop if you are female as they will try to scam you!!!! I went in for a state inspection and they tried to tell me a headlight that was installed in February (it's July) had a $6 turn signal bulb that was out but it would be an hour labor at $150 to replace it. I told Eugene, who was combative and condescending from the very first interaction, that was ridiculous and I wanted to see my car. We went back there and my light and bumper are both popped open, with liquid all in my brand new headlight. The older guy that did the "inspection" tried to argue with me and tell me my car was like that when I brought it in with was a STRAIGHT UP LIE!!!! I demanded to see the cameras and they refused. I showed them a picture I had taken of my daughter this very morning that showed my car not damaged the way it was when I received it back after their "inspection." Unethical!

I called a friend of mine that owns a car dealership here and he told me this location is notorious for failing state inspections and trying to strong arm people into buying things at exorbitant prices from them in order to pass. I have since talked to multiple mechanics who said that pricing was ludicrous. I got into an argument with both the older guy and "manager" Eugene and told them its a scam, they should be ashamed of themselves, and they wouldn't try this with a male and Eugene was a complete A-hole in his responses. The older guy denied damaging my vehicle which I could see with my own two eyes and he called me a b*tch. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FEMALE. You will be spoken to in a degrading manner and they will try to clean your bank account out over something minor. I will be filing a property damage report because they damaged my vehicle and tried to get me to pay for their mistake. Avoid at all cost.

Tire sensor service at NTB (National Tire & Battery)

My 2007 Honda CRV has a TPMS light on the dashboard. I bring it to NTB (National Tire & Battery) at the local in Woodbridge Virginia to replace the tire sensor and recalibrate it. They told me the vehicle need to replace all 4 sensors (while just one sensor was broken) with the price of $400 some...
About 3 months late the TPMS light is back on. I bring back to complain but they fail to fix it. I have been back and forth four-time and the problem has never been repaired until now. While I'm there at their shop, I meet a lady, her car has the same problem as mine and when I meet her that's the third time she came back.......
I hope this review can help someone avoid the mistake I did.

warranty for tires

on 12-30-2020 I purchased 4 tires at NTB Deer Park Texas. order # 400040667022 . on the same date and on a second invoice within the hour i asked the manager Marshall m. if it was too late to purchase a road hazard warranty he gladly sold me a warranty and that order # is 400040668721. i never thought i would have to use and apparently neither did the manager Marshall with NTB. well i had a damaged tire and i new i bought a warranty . I called NTB in Deer Park, Texas . I was inquiring on what steps i have to take after a short conversation Marshall told me I didn't rotate my tires that was the first thing he said so I told him he was trying to give me the run around but in different words . So I hung up on him . with in seconds he calls me back and tells me i don't have a warranty. I proceeded to tell him i have an invoice that shows a warranty for tires . And he insisted i didn't have one even though I gave him the order # .So he told me to bring in paper work so i said ok. But before I went the the store in Deer park Texas. I called the the service support personnel. What she questioned is why did they do to separate invoices One invoice for tires and one for tire warranty . I explained to her that i originally did not purchase a warranty . While waiting for tire installation I requested more info on a warranty and then decided to purchase a tire warranty . What the manager failed to do was to put the warranty I purchased to referenced on the tires i just purchased. Long story short I was informed by service support to go back to store and see if the manager Marshall M. would honor the warranty if he didn't i could get a refund. Well manager Marshall Mcclendon did not honor the warranty . This first time i have purchased a warranty on tires I will never do it again. Just for the record when I went back to the store i could tell by the way he spoke and attitude we weren't going to resolve my warranty issue . I called the service support and she told me I would get a refund on the warranty. A little bit of advice I wouldn't shop at this NTB store in Deer Park Texas .

I took my car to NTB on Howe Ave in…

I took my car to NTB on Howe Ave in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for a oil change. I had a quote and time/date scheduled with NTB via their on line site. I arrived at location and the scheduler at front office would not honor their quote. He insisted on charging me a additional three dollars for shop rags etc. 8/24/21 at 3 pm. I was going to get a quote for tires and alignment as long I was there. Their scheduler was not a nice person. I left without the oil change. It’s not the 3 dollars. How can you trust a company like this?

This is the problem I encountered with…

This is the problem I encountered with NTB when I took my 2006 Buck Le Sabre to have it inspected on June 3, 2020. At the time I got new tires, a synthetic oil change and the replacement of the steering gear and the rack and pinion system. I was able to drive the vehicle approximately 1,000 miles before it began having trouble with the steering system. This was in February, 2001 and we were in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. I decided to park the car and take it back in June 1, 2021 when it was required to be inspected. At that time I told the technician about the steering problem. They put additional power steering fluid in the vehicle and told me that it was fixed. I began experiencing the same problem and took my car back to NTB for additional repairs. At that time they replaced the power steering pump at no charge. On my way home, I could tell that the work performed did not solve the problem. I was driving on the interstate and their negligence put my life at risk. At that time I decided that I had to take my car to the Buick dealership in order to fix my car. I was told at the dealership that the power steering lines were installed incorrectly and they had to replace the power steering pump and steering gear. It cost me $1,650 to restore my car to drivability. I contacted NTB and They denied any responsibility for this problem. Don't take your car to NTD. They are incompetent.

I don't know what is going on here

I don't know what is going on here. I have been a customer of this Store for over a decade. I needed new tires and scheduled the installation on line. I indicated that I would wait. When I arrived at the appropriate time, I was told that the service people were going home. They would keep my car over night and do the install first thing in the morning. I asked what time would it be done, I was told by 9:30AM. Thursday June 30 I called at 0945 to see if the car was finished, it wasn't. I ended up picking the car up at 11:20am. The next day, July 1, I received an email from NTB indicating they have a buy 2 get 2 free offer. I called and spoke with the sales person, she indicated that she had no control over what corporate did. I asked to speak to the manager and was put on hold. After a period of time the sales person picked up and indicated that the manager would honor the new offer, however my installation package would change. I accepted the change. Now I was put on hold again for an extended period of time as they tried to figure out what to do next. I think they expected me to say no thank you and hang up. Short story, I called and spoke with Kevin Beach the manager. He indicated that indeed they would honor the new deal and that "George" was working on the figures. George would call me back. 35 minutes later, it is now after 5:00 PM, I called and asked for Kevin. He was gone and George was with a customer. The sales person indicated that they would refund the original sale and re-write it with the new terms. This means the original sale amount would be held on my card and I would also be charged the new amount. That was not acceptable. The cost difference was $62.47 and the addition of two services on my computer record. They either could not figure out how to do that or they are not allowed to do that. Either way, I told them to forget the change. I was not having over $600.00 held on my card and another $700.00 charged to it.
After over 10 years and multiple cars serviced here, I am through with them. There are many other options open to consumers.

Purchased 4, experience and rebate warning

I purchased 4 Goodyear tires from NTB.

Based on two calls to the store, I started to be a little concerned about vagueness and upselling. I should have backed away as I didn't really need the tires immediately.

I ended up buying the tires via the NTB Website on 7/15. They were marked on sale but store couldn't tell me how much the markdown was from the ordinary price.

The NTB Website said the tires were not at the store but I could make a 6:00 pm appointment on the same day.

I called the store and they told be they would have to do an extensive search and didn't know if they could even find the tires and suggested another brand.

I selected the tires because the website said "Goodyear Tires – Save up to $150 after Mail-in Rebate".

I decided to place a website order with NTB and got an appointment for the next day, 7/16. I called the store an hour before the appointment to confirm the tires had arrived (on the previous day).

My real caution here is the rebate. On the main Website page the rebate is from Goodyear. I assumed (my bad) I would receive a check in the mail from Goodyear. Turns out on subsequent pages, the rebate only applies with you use an NTB credit card and I used another card. I don't need another credit card but for $150 I would have gotten one had I understood. Just offering and explaining the rebate at the store counter would have resulted in a good outcome.

The other mistake I made was I signed consent to install the tires without reading the fine print. I don't know what was there because they didn't give me a copy. I sign stuff like this all the time and have gotten pretty casual about it. I still expect fair, competent treatment especially at a doctors office.

The invoice has no mention of a rebate either on the order or the fine print.

I figured out what had happened when I got ready to apply for the rebate.

I left feeling NTB's system has some land mines and you don't have a map. The tragedy is the store is .6 miles from my house and I have two older cars (one needs new tires shortly) that I am sure I would have taken them to NTB for in the future. I could have dropped the car, walked home and back to pick up the car when it was ready.

The good news is I can still go back to another store I have used in the past which is only 2 miles away and have never been caught being anything but completely honest with me and given me all the options on the things I have had done there.

I went to NTB in Virginia Beach, DON"T GO THERE

I went to NTB in Virginia Beach this morning. I did not get a receipt and was told they dont give a receipt. I had to call to find out that my car was ready for pick up. Went during my lunch time to pick my car up and waited 16 mins before anyone would come to assist me. Then they didn't know where my key was. My tire was repaired but I was told I would have to drive my car for a while before the tire light will reset. DON'T waste you time or money going there. I had to take my car to Mercedes Benz to get it properly fixed. Thank God they didn't charge my again. Lesson well learnt.

Single woman beware!!

I was traveling on the highway and had a blowout, I reached out to several tire companies within a 20-mile radius, unfortunately none of them had the specific tire that I needed, NTB was the only one. I was told that I had to purchase all four, that because of the particulars of this tire an individual could not be sold. The man who towed my vehicle was with me during this conversation, he was shocked and said he never heard such a thing, the salesman actually said to me, well we have what you need to get yourself home. I was an unfortunate situation it was becoming dusk and I still had several hours to my destination. I had no choice but to buy all four tires which cost me over $500! my original tires Continentals, which are very good tires and pricey ones at that, had less than 20,000 miles. I wrote a review on Google and customer service from corporate reached out to me I explained the situation and he did tell me that no one is forced to purchase and he's sorry for the situation, but due to the fact that it was past the 30 days there's nothing that can be done. (I wrote the review 10 days too late) Single women driving, please be aware of being forced to spend money that you do not have to, at this location.. Bridgeport West Virginia, Meadow Brooke Mall

Unscrupulous company, beware the sales pitch.

My daughter called up NTB to get an estimate and was advised to bring the car in and they would price match. NTB did not diagnose the car but instead took it upon themselves to replace the front axles because my daughter told them she thinks that is where the clicking sound is coming from, according to the shop manager. A trained mechanic taking the advice of a college kid, go figure. Mind you, the car was taken to Hyundai a week prior and she was told that it was a steering column issue and gave her a price for the repair. The only reason she went to NTB was because she was duped into believing they would do a better job. After the "repairs" the problem was still there and the mechanic obviously knew this when he drove the car out of the bay. When my daughter brought it to his attention he told her to drive it around for a few days to see if it would go away. Obviously a ploy to shuffle her out the door after the payment was made. I promptly called the store and they said they would refund her the labor cost but not the parts and that in order to check the steering column; it would require the removal of the airbag and they are not authorized to do so. At that point they should have released the car. Now she has to take it back to the dealer to fix the actual problem. I told a buddy of mine the story and his experience was almost the same. Shame on this company.
