From the initial quotation through to completion, the project ran exceptionally smoothly, and the workmanship on the finished roof is excellent. I only wish I’d done it years ago—it’s now a room that can be enjoyed all year round and looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Nu-Look to my friends and family who are considering a new tiled conservatory roof.

Everything from start to finish was treated with utmost professionalism. The roofers were excellent, although they did leave early 1 day to go back to a job that they had done earlier, when the brochure says that doesn't happen. Clint the plasterer was also excellent. The finish is first class.

We did our research for having the conservatory roof converted from a polycarbonate aluminium spar roof to a solid insulated roof. We researched 4 companies, and had 4 sales rep visits.

Nu look was our 2nd, with Gavyn as our first impression of the company. He arrived promptly, talked us through the whole process, and even brought a cross section sample of the roof construction. Gavyn had the samples of all tiles and colours, plus an informative brochure , for us to peruse later, as it is a lot to take in initially.

The process quoted, was not the cheapest of the four quotes, nor was it the most expensive, but we liked the quality of the materials, and the presentation from Gavyn swayed us.

We were kept up to date with the installation process from Nicola and Emily with all the expected date for the surveyor to attend, for precise measurements and the dates for the main construction, plasterer and the electrician.

The team on the first day were Gareth and Archie. They were bang on time, and set to work almost immediately. First they cut a fabulous exact floor covering in the conservatory to protect our wood floor, from boots, building materials, and plaster etc.

At the end of day, Gareth and Archie made sure the incomplete roof was watertight until their return the next morning.

Their work was faultless, they were quiet, polite, methodical, and had obviously worked together a lot, as they knew exactly what they were doing, and what the other wanted before they did.

Gareth and Archie worked all day, almost to last light (November) and virtually had lunch on the go.

Any questions we had during the conversion, they were able to answer with absolute full knowledge.

They cleaned up after each day, taking away all the building detritus, and left a safe area for us in the evening.

I can’t thank these two enough for their hard work, and professionalism.

Next in….was the electrician to do first fit for the main light and spotlights…again, very efficient and accurate.

Our next tradesman was Clint the Plasterer. What a nice guy, and what a skilled plasterer. Again, very polite, got on with his work and did a fantastic job….we are so pleased with the finish of the roof. Clint again cleaned up, and left everything ready for the electrician.

Then came Jim the electrician, and fitted the centre light of our choice and 6 spotlights,(the spotlights were included in the quote) and fitted the bespoke conduit and switches that we had bought in antique brass.

All tradesman were prompt and meticulous, and we cannot fault their work, their time keeping or their professionalism.

We can already feel that the room is warmer (Nov), and we should be able to use it more in the summer when it will be cooler.

We would recommend Nu Look without hesitation.

From quotation to completion the project went really well and the workmanship of the finished roof is excellent. The difference it has made to the room is amazing, I wish I had done it years ago. It is now a room that can be used all year round!

I had been looking at options for replacing a Polycarbonate Roof on our conservatory. After looking into other alternatives, I contacted Nu-look for a Quotation. The service from start to finish was excellent. The price quoted was very good value for money compared to alternative systems. The work was carried out to a very high standard. I was kept informed at every step of the process. There was a slight issue when the plasterer failed to arrive on the allotted day, but this was quickly resolved and rescheduled for the following day. We are very happy with the final result and it has made a huge difference to the usability of our conservatory. I have recommended

We wanted to replace the glass roof in our conservatory as it was an unused room. I reached out to a number of companies to understand prices and their solutions.

I chose Nu-look based on the initial visit and the fact they had been recommended by a work colleague who had a similar roof installed.

Although they were slightly more expensive than other options, I definitely feel like I received value for money. All the workmen did an excellent job, from the initial installers of the roof to the electrician and then the plasterer. I was contacted in advance at all stages and the work was fully completed over a couple of weeks.

I have had no issues since the roof was installed in June so very happy with the service.

They did a fantastic job. It has made a massive difference to the conservatory the space is now useable all year round. They were very professional through all stages of job, and would highly recommend them.

To be honest this company is great throughout, they are friendly, well organised and do a top job

They may not be the cheapest on the market but they are priced competitively / middle of the road and the materials that they use and their standard of workmanship is excellent / high end !

Electrician they used again was great, arranged a time that was suitable for us and again made sure we were 100% happy with his work

Thanks for a great job done, we are already noticing a huge difference as our conservatory is now more like an extention of the home, usable in all weather's!

With so many options/companies available, choosing the right business to undertake such an important and costly upgrade on our property was a bit of a minefield.
We secured six quotations and did our comprehensive research on all of them.
Should we coat the existing roof, replace the panels, construct a new roof (timber or metal)?
Nu-Look provided a clear and precise sales call, without any pressure, and although not the cheapest, they certainly stood a country mile above the rest in terms of quality and accreditations.

They seemed to have had the most experience and speaking with some of their customers (via Facebook) came highly recommended (in fact nobody had anything bad to say about them).

The work was completed to a super, high standard and the fitters were hard working and tidy.

We now have a beautiful room which we use all year round. I can't thank Nu-Look enough.

I'd researched a number of conservatory roof replacement companies. Most were established within the last year, NuLook stood out as they'd been in business so long = a good sign. Plus reviews were generally good.
The service and communication was excellent throughout. Price was fair. Very happy with the finish and final result.

A family run business which seems to put the customer first and leaves you feeling like one of the family.

Great service from start to finish in tandem with sister company, Park Lane Windows. No pressure selling, just a chat with an experienced, well-informed representative who offered a reasonable price.

We were flexible on the start date and got our installation done within weeks of placing the order. Workmen were all courteous, rigorous, quick and low maintenance - they got on with it.

There were small administrative glitches but these were handled swiftly and satisfactorily.

We are delighted with the finished product. We had our existing conservatory re-glazed and had the polycarbonate roof replaced with a solid one with velux window. It has turned it into what we now call "the garden room".

No issue from sales to completion , Trades all were professional and the plasterer was spot on , Price good and can definitely feel the difference.

From the very start we found Nulook conservatory solutions v professional. They started when they said, at the price they quoted and built to the standard they promised. All the tradesmen were highly skilled, the roofers, Gareth, Karl, Jacob and Bevan ( aka the dream team) were amazing as was the plasterer ( sorry can’t remember your name) and Jim the electrician.
Our conservatory has now been transformed from a hot house to a room and looking great too.

Our first interaction with Nu Look was via a salesman, who seemed friendly and provided answers to our questions. He also repeatedly sold Nu Look’s ‘Pay nothing for 1 year’ offer, which we thought was quite reasonable and suited us financially.

We had a few issues during and prior to the installation, such as incorrect quotes, prices and items, which were thankfully resolved, but still made the process a little rocky.

The workmanship Nu Look provide through their fitters is good and we are pleased with the result, however, we would not recommend Nu Look to anyone.

Before the installation had been completed, Nu Look asked us to prematurely sign a satisfaction notice, which we were hesitant to do given the number of issues we had experienced along the way. It was also strange to receive this (prematurely) as we, nor anyone we know has ever signed off on a job before completion.

The MD sent us an email and accused us of being ‘unreasonable’ and ’Snagging’ when we said we would rather wait until the completion of the installation before signing any satisfaction documents. We thought the tone of his email was accusatory and undeserved, however, given the pressure we received we agreed to sign the notice, though expressed we weren’t overjoyed about our overall experience with Nu Look and about being asked to sign the document pre-completion in the first place.

The MD stated he was 'aggrieved' by our email and then decided to suddenly cancel our finance agreement and demanded full payment, due to us ‘protesting’. This put us in a very stressful and upsetting financial situation and consequently meant that we had to find a large sum of money within 24 hours (rather than having a whole year to pay it off as initially agreed).

We will never understand why Nu Look thought it was acceptable to request a signed satisfaction note for an installation prior to completion, and then to inflict further disruption to their customers by unnecessarily cancelling the finance agreement, knowing it may cause financial stress. A very strange ending to our experience with Nu Look.

Got recommended from a family member and friend and couldn't thank them enough! I got my conservatory roof done the gentlemen who come was very polite and honest, didn't have a single problem at all through the whole process will defiantly recommend!

Had a roof done buy Nu-Look a while ago. very pleased with end result all office staff and and fitter was amazing. would recommen.

The big question is whether we’d recommend Nu-Look. The answer is based solely on the interaction between office and customer and it is “No”.

When a company acts in such a customer-unfriendly and amateur way, you almost forget the feedback that you could give on their products and focus solely on the way in which they treat their customers.

All of Nu-Look’s work appears to be sub-contracted. This is fine and they all worked well, turned up on time and did a good job. However, the disconnect between Nu-Look and its sub-contractors is incredible.

Any company that starts chasing payment 2 hours after the workforce leave comes across as desperate. The approach taken by their current "Office Manager" Naomi Fox was officious and did nothing to help manage the situation.

Citing Terms and Conditions at customers and haranguing them for payment is never a sign of good customer service. This is especially true when the T&Cs are applied randomly, this makes the T&Cs suspect to say the least and this was also the agreement of a solicitor colleague who took a look at them for us.

We decided to make use of the snagging clause (D3) and pay 90% of the cost as we could not say that the roof was acceptable when the plaster was still very wet. This went down like a tonne of bricks, despite it being a clause written into their own contract. We were even accused of refusing to pay!

A contract is not selective - you cannot apply one paragraph because it’s in your favour whilst ignoring another which is in the customer’s.

There’s no real project management involved in the installation process and a real point of annoyance was when Nu-Look pulled the team off our job to go and work on another.

There’s little point contacting their MD, a chap called Andy Daly. Should the response be like the one we received then it’ll be passive-aggressive and could easily be read as defensively threatening.

Mr Daly’s response confirmed that our last interaction with Nu-Look would be a negative one, when he had the chance to recover. No doubt, any response posted to this review will try and point the blame elsewhere, probably to us!
