Most orders are shipped in a timely manner with no need to contact other than through the web. When a phone call is required, call centre staff are professional and generally able to deal with enquiries quickly and efficiently. Stock range is quite good, and pricing is what I expect.

If the items are in stock then 95% of the time we have very little issues around supply, but if we are un-lucky enough to order something that was showing in stock but wasent, then this is where the 5% becomes a big issue as it seems that the communication between E14 world wide falls over as it is not until the part becomes overdue which is when we chase it up that the customer service team we deal with are hi-lighted to the issue at hand.
Leaving us the customer hanging for up to a couple of days why they look into why this has happened.
The only other comment would be that the min qty that you can purchase against a tape an reel Eg 150 pcs which we are fine with so we don't expect to then see a partial shipment against the order Eg 70 pcs then 80 pcs a week later as this doesn't match-up with what you are telling us to do so how / why would this ever happen.
in finishing I would have no hesitation in recommending E14 to any of my clients as E14 are more than willing to learn from these annoying issues & put things in place to reduce the risk around them reoccurring, but for them to do so you need to speak up and give feed back which is what I encourage you to do, then at the end of the day you can say you have winged but you have tried to help.

Stock shows 6-7 day delivery, not always the case. If they don't have stock in the Singapore warehouse it goes on back order, which can take up to 3 weeks. The logical thing to do would be ship the stock from the UK( which has Stock ), but no it goes on back order and no one tell you !!!. They tell me the reason is, I always ask for continuous strips, what a joke, I get approximately 50% of my orders received on cut tapes when I always request continuous strips, its a lucky dip really.

Great selection, great website, great prices, great specials, great updates on delivery.

The website is very slow when searching for parts and components. For example: searching for "24C02" take 5 seconds to produce a results table and then 5 seconds to load a selected link. By contrast the same search on Digikey produces a category selection in 1 second, a results table in 1 seconds and a loaded link in 1 second.

Whilst this may not sound like much, when searching for components for a recent project Bill of Material, which had 75 lines of devices, the search became frustratingly slow.

The biggest advantage to element14 is that many components can be received next day. This advantage is hampered by the sluggish performance of the website and the frustration is sending me to Digikey more often.

My most recent was a phone order. The Contact person was friendly, helpful and efficient. The order was easily made and I was advised one item would be on backorder and was that OK. It was and my order, minus the one item arrived the next day. A few days later I got email advice of the backorder and it too arrived. Excellent service and communication.

I've been using Element 14 (ne. Farnell) for 25 years, very little problems. Most of the few problems I have had are traced back to the courier companies not delivering parcels on time.

For sales, service and delivery, you guys are the best.

The ordering system is fast and efficient with parts in stock arriving the next day. The filter system is constantly being improved and it is very simple to find the parts needed.

However if a part is not in stock there is no indication of when it will arrive. i'm still waiting on parts for an order I did over two months ago. When paying by credit card, there is no knowing when the money will be taken. It would be better if the process was automated and the money was taken as soon as the order was completed.

E14 has a wide range of products, and responds very quickly to customer needs.

As we are a remote buyer (NZ - nearest warehouse is a across the Tasman Sea in Australia) we have experienced great service.

There have been hiccups where a new staff member has come on board and missed a couple of orders but in general the service is 'just like it says on the tin'.

There are also occasions (due to our location) that the requested products are only available ex-UK on a 6-7 day lead time.

From a price perspective, considering that we get a discount E14 are not the cheapest, however, the range is broad enough that we can use them for almost all of our requirements.

The tendency to hunt around for better pricing is watered down by higher TCO (cost of freight primarily) when dealing with other suppliers e.g. DigiKey.

Overall a good fit for us as an OEM where most of our bulk requirements are managed by an outsourced contract manufacturer.

Almost always a good experience with many parts available *next day*.
Web site very slow, too many ads and cursor doesn't default to search box

element14's wide range of well known brands and generally good prices make it an ideal store for many different categories of electronics - from individual components to power supplies, in system programmers, even power cords, etc. I can get everything shipped in one order rather than several which saves me time. They also offer free shipping above NZD $45, which is great value for money. After I ordered, the order was soon shipped out and it was delivered quickly. Overall very happy with the service.
