Photographer arrived on time was very courteous and professional. Minimal disruption and very timely

I had the pleasure of being served by estate agent Tate for several house viewings. We viewed several properties with other estate agents from other firms as well but we found Tate to be the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful with every viewing. He is an asset to the company and we look forward to having the pleasure to work with him again.

As title, Bill who took the photographs for our property that will be up for sale soon, is extremely professional, efficient and approachable.

A few key points highlights:

1) He arrives on-time as scheduled

2) His helpful and straightforward advice in coordinating the house's internal conditions for a smooth photography session completed in under 30 minutes which is extremely efficient

3) His professionalism and expert use of photography equipments, along with illustrations of some initial shots, gives myself, as a landlord, great confidence in having some top visuals on property sites afterwards

4) He has always been friendly, well-mannered and approachable throughout while also presenting himself very professionally as well, which reflects very well onto and very in line Oakmans' own great reputation.

I was in the process of purchasing a property through Oakman, which was being managed by Oakman and marketed as an investor property. However, it later became clear that the property was being rented unlawfully, with one room let illegally and without compliance with local council guidelines.

This experience has made it clear to me that landlords should not assume Oakman will carry out proper due diligence on their behalf. Based on my experience, their primary focus appears to be on generating income rather than ensuring legal compliance.

I recently received a promotional property management leaflet from Oakman referring to the upcoming Rental Reform Bill. Given my experience, I felt compelled to share this warning with other landlords.

Please think carefully before relying on Oakman’s management services.
You have been warned.

The team at Oakmans have been brilliant. From first survey, writing the sales material and then the support to the full process the team supported and advised us. Without Alex (Sales) and Sue (chasing progress) in particular I don’t think we would have survived the process!

From start to finish the whole process was so smooth Alex was our valuer she explained the process in detail from valuing our house to booking the photographers and telling us when our house would go on the market and timelines she was excellent. Then the photographers a great couple of gents very professional,the videos and photos we're amazing. Then came viewings Tate who showed potential buyers round great bubbly chap our house sold the next day. Then came Sue the sales progressor she handled the sale always took our calls, always had time for us and kept us informed of the progress of our sale absolutely fantastic a lovely bubbly personality who was very approachable at all times we would recommended Oakmans these are the team to go with. Very professional No 1 in the market in my opinion.

I can’t recommend Lisa highly enough as a mortgage advisor. From the very beginning, she took the time to fully understand my situation and explained everything clearly and honestly. We're in the process of buying our first home and Oakmans have been nothing but helpful so far. We were shown the house by Sophie, who was incredibly kind and explained a few bits to us with such enthusiasm and patience, since we'd never been through this process before and although we knew we loved this house, we had no idea what to do next. Sophie answered all of my many questions and was super helpful while we were looking around the house. Long story short, we put an offer the same evening, had it accepted the next morning and are now patiently awaiting to move into our first home!
