I’ve used the software for five years. There are some things that could use an upgrade and things that become more user-friendly with experience.
The price is very affordable and it offers every feature needed to run a practice.
Anytime I have reached out to support they have been helpful.

I have been an Office Ally user since 2011 and have always found the platform to be adaptive, intuitive, and up-to-date on insurance verifications. Billing options and progress note formatting are good!

Been using Practice Mate for 13 years
I have been using Practice Mate in my private counseling practice for about 13 years and it is very reliable. I don’t have some of the problems that colleagues tell me they are experiencing with Simple Practice and others.
Price keeps going up but I guess that’s the way everything is now.

Good starter EMR system, but sucks overall.
Office Ally is only good for basic use. My office has issues ALL THE TIME! It is slow, updates happen regularly during business hours that disrupt our practice and it automatically logs you out after even 20 minutes. You can NEVER get anyone on the phone at a reasonable time (I have been on hold for 20mins already). Even when sending an email, no one gets back to you until a day or two later (with no help at all and no accountability). The reminder system is awful too! Weird spam-like recording leaves patients a voicemail and our office gets complaints about it often (I have tested the reminder to my cell phone too, and I understand why patients think it is a scam at first). I would not recommend it for fast-paced offices. It is a good starter, but there are other systems out there that are worth your dollars. Absolutely sucks overall.

Buggy Software
The have lot of software bugs . we continue to experience dropped ERA and we have no clue when to post the payments, untilwe go to our bank account and they figure out to manual post the payments after we hunt for the EOB's from the payer, which is ridiculous. In this day and age at this rate OfficeAlly may not survice.
