Off Piste Performance Reviews 

Thanks to all the Off Piste Performance crew for a truly exceptional week of touring in an incredible part of the world. The mountains provide a stunning backdrop and the skiing is world class but it’s the little things that the team do that really make the experience. From the delicious homemade Bircher muesli for breakfast to the images downloaded on to a memory stick to take away at the end of the week, from avalanche education to local flora and fauna chats, our trip to Kvaløya with Alison, James, George and Fran was a truly immersive arctic adventure.

Kvaløya 2018 - skiing in an arctic heatwave puts the organizers under a lot of pressure! I'm pleased to say Alison and James managed to find us snow and really well managed experiences to suit all the rapidly changing conditions.
Staying in a wooden cottage in a small fishing village, we traveled the surrounding islands by minibus sampling the delights of spring time arctic scenery. The price was all-in and the service outstanding.

Fantastic company, with a very considered approach to tailored off-piste adventurous skiing and split boarding. It is nice to work with understated professionals. Great fun

Very well organised trip with no problems at all. Off Piste Performance were also helpfully flexible and accommodating with airport pick ups and fitting in an extra ski day. The mountain guide was first rate and the other OPP staff were excellent too - particularly the chef, who produced consistently brilliant food!

Superb Intro to Artic Norway and skiing untracked mountains. Amazing guide, food and location. A truly inspirational place backed up by an excellent team.

Great location, guiding, instruction and food.

My first time to the Lofoten Islands, and I must say, it’s a great place. The weather gods were on our side which made for some super and scenic ski tours on most days. Alison, James, and George did a great job in accommodating the different levels of fitness and experience in the team. The food too was excellent.
All in all highly recommended.

Fantastic course - made the most of the conditions each day, great teaching, lovely bunch of people and Gillian was really good at tailoring the instruction to everyone's differing skill levels in the group as well as encouraging and challenging us all. Highly recommended.

I had a really good time over the two days at Nevis Range. Gillian catered for varying snow conditions and ability levels and had plenty of tips and drills for everyone.

I felt much more confident at the end of the two days and really enjoyed getting into the back corries!

Brilliant course. Gillian catered for all ability levels. She spotted our bad habits and gave us effective drills to iron them out. I really enjoyed skiing on the challenging terrain where Gillian took us. Highly recommended!

Very good “weekend” at the CIC hut. Great skiing in good company. James was very helpful before the course and he and Gillian were very good at explaining the conditions and options for the 2 days. Definitely recommend.

The course put on by Off Piste Performance this past week was brilliant!

I found the course extremely informative. Giving me new skills I can take forward on to future outings and build on with experience.

Dee's instruction was first rate and I feel my skiing has improved vastly as a result of her help.

For Alison and Mr and Mrs Walker to provide this opportunity to people like myself is a great legacy to Chris's memory and it can not be overstated how beneficial the course is to it's students.

Fantastic course! Very clear, targeted instruction which has moved my skiing on to the next level and has given me much more confidence. Alison coached me into skiing the best turns I have ever skied! Highly recommend!

Did the two day Ski Performance Scotland course with Gillian at Nevis range. Gillian was excellent at identifying each of our individual strengths and weaknesses, and giving us tips and tricks to work on. She put us through some great drills and some fantastic off piste runs in the back corries to put it all together. Felt like I made huge progress in just two days.

Chamonix Off Piste & Mountain Skills Course is an excellent course for people who are ready to leave the comfortable pistes behind and move to the adventurous off piste routes. Under the guidance of Alison and Rob you enter the magic world - no signed pistes or crowds there. Be warned - take this course only if you are ready to accept a ski touring addiction in your life. Fantastic experience! James was great and we had a brilliant day - the skiing was great and we also loved learning more about the mountains, glacier, area, etc. Would highly recommend!

Class size (6) was ideal. Additional assistance/instruction was given by George Reid. I did wonder why we revisited side slipping on piste, but Gillian's observation and analytical skills were equally matched by her affable and positive individual feedback. I was so keen to work on the 3 identified areas requiring improvement as identified by Gillian, that I hot-footed it over to Cairngorm for a third ski day. After several falls and giggling in boot high powder, I am ready to tackle steeper n deeper snow. Norway next?

Fantastic couple of days tuition at Nevis Range. Given my novice level of skiing when I started, I couldn't believe I was skiing the back corries on the second day and mainly managing to stay upright! Gillian was very good at tailoring the two days to the skills and abilities of the whole group. A great experience all round, would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent trip to Gressoney. The trip was exactly as described involving both some great and challenging skiing as well as plenty of tips and instruction along the way. Andy was a great instructor, very professional and encouraging and went the extra mile getting us to the Bettolina peak. The accomodation was also excellent and the ski area much bigger than expected with endless possibilities.
All in all a fabulous trip - thanks guys.
