Poor Service
Went to Ollie Quinn for the first time for an eye test, my initial experience was great and the staff were all friendly. After being told my prescription had changed I purchased some new glasses. However after picking up the glasses I found them unusable as my vision was blurred and they were giving me a motion sickness type feeling. Additionally the blue light filter was visible distorting my colour vision after I had been told it would be completely unnoticeable. So went back to the store and explained the problem. The staff checked the glasses and assured me they were the correct prescription and tried to dismiss my concerns however after I persisted they then recommended I get my eyes retested. After a retest I was then told that actually my prescription hadn't changed and so they offered to remake the lenses with my old prescription. They told me there was nothing they could do about the blue light filter. Whilst this was a fair solution I found it very annoying that they had not got it right first time and had therefore wasted my time. After waiting for the new glasses and collecting them I was still having the same problems and so returned to the store again. This time staff tried to accuse me of being difficult and simply wanting a refund for not liking the frames (I loved the frames). This was not the case the lenses were unusable. After the staff trying to adjust the glasses to over come the vision problems by just bending the frames they then decided the problems I was having were because of the blue light filter. At this point I requested to just be refunded because I didn't want to be messed around anymore. Additionally, after being told the only solution was to have no blue light filter I was no longer interested in having new glasses since my main reasons for purchase were to have the blue light filter and because I was originally told my prescription had changed. However the staff refused and told me I could only be refunded £40 out of the £100 I had spent as lenses are non-refundable despite the fact they were unusable. The staff in the short were rude and uncompromising.
I came home and contact Ollie Quinn online to explain my situation. They did agree that I was due a full refund and have said that they will process this. This request could have been easily handled in store and should not have required me to go over the store and take it online. They immediately arranged for someone to come and collect the glasses that I still possessed however I am still waiting on the refund.

Don’t buy from this his place
Don’t buy from this this place. For glasses that cost £100 you’d expect them to at least a year before they go bad. These don’t. Bought mines from Spitalfields store and within 6 months glasses had started becoming loose and had to go three times to get it tightened, now they are on the brink of falling apart.
You are better off buying your glasses for cheaper from elsewhere
The staff at Canary Wharf were…
The staff at Canary Wharf were brilliant. Had my eye check there which was very professional then the staff helped me to find a few pairs of glasses. They gave you a tray so you could try glasses on and then they disinfected them after!
Picked up my two pairs of new specs a week later! Thanks.
Ollie Quinn gave me wrong glasses on…
Ollie Quinn gave me wrong glasses on Jan 2020 and I had pain all the time on my eyes . On Feb 2020 I started a new job , but I could not see well and my eye were painful . As a result I lost my new job . I always was thinking the problem was me but not my glasses . Finally , I started to use my old glass that I had from few years ago then I started having less pain .
I saw my option and the doctor tested my glasses from Ollie Quinn , but the problem was Ollie Quinn gave me a wrong glasses as a result that caused me to lost my new job on Feb 2020.
On June I went back to Ollie Quinn on Commercial drive when they open , and I received a good customer service this time they fixed and gave me correct lenses . This cost me to lose a new job on Feb 2020.
Very bad customer service in the shop
Very bad customer service, I got the appointment for eye test and came 10mins late, they did not accept me while my slot was booked for 45mins. I apologised for the delay but they were not flexible at all. Very disappointed!!

Decent quality
Decent quality. Have been wearing them for ages and can't complain. There's one scratch on one lens now, after a year of use and usually I'd have multiple scratches on the lenses.... I wish they didn't change their styles so much and still made the same frames, and that they'd kept a record of my measurements so I could reorder without having to go in to the store to order then pickup.
Amazing customer service!
Amazing customer service!! Best glasses shop I have used and gone above and beyond to solve an issue with a delivery. Brilliant store and team!
Not a satisfied customer
Yes, they're cheap. But the saying is true, you get what you pay for.
WORST customer service ever. My husband bought a pair of glasses and he thought he found the perfect pair at Ollie Quinn. The floor model fit perfectly, snug in all the right place.
When he picked up the glasses he ordered, they couldn't adjust it to fit anything like the floor model. To get the arms to be snug, the glasses were bent and the look was ruined. If it was straightened out to look good, the arms were so loose, the glasses would slip off.
He complained and the manager approved to have them redone at a higher index which was suppose to be thinner lenses that would help keep the original shape and feel. My husband had originally ordered progressives, but he didn't like the distortion so he requested they not do it on the new pair.
He picked up the new pair and I asked about the difference in price since he cancelled the progressive which adds about $100. I was told it was offset by the cost of the higher index on these new lenses. Low and behold, they still could not adjust it correctly. And all they would refund was $75 for the frame. They kept $325 for all this hassle!
So hope you aren't picky about your glasses cause they will take your money. By the way, their progressive technology is the older one, everything they do is probably older technology and that's why they cost less then other big name stores. Beware.
Really poor spec quality
Really poor spec quality. The frame became really loose after a few uses. Even more after using the sun clip on, that were bought with the glasses, and recommended at the store for the frames. I thought having clip on sunglasses would be a fab alternative to contact lenses during the summer month. Unfortunately, the frame can’t support the weight of the clip-on and the frames was pretty much useless after have used the clip-on twice. I’m so disappointed with the quality, I have had glasses for over 15 year, and have never had so bad quality frames before. I would never purchase this brand again.
Awful experience.
I purchased some new glasses from Ollie Quinn expecting something special and unique. I was left severely disappointed by the quality and service.
The frames themselves left me with red marks on my face and painful areas. The quality seemed very poor. Having worn glasses my whole life I certainly feel that the frames from here would not last long.
It was the service in store I found most appalling. The shop assistant in Stoke Newington when I tried to return the glasses was rude, aggressive and disrespectful. At one point the shop assistant called me a liar and that I didn’t know what I was talking about.
I managed to get a third of my money back that was not clear on the terms and conditions online. Needless to say I will not use Ollie Quinn again.
Great shop
Great shop! Lovely frames and good quality!
Very helpful and friendly staff! Would highly recommend.
Thank you x
The worst place to shop for glasses
The worst place to shop for glasses. I was told it would take 1 week for my glasses to b ready for pickup. It has been more than 3 weeks, & I am still waiting for them. It is impossible to get an update or/ ETA on my order. Highly mismanaged in processing orders.
Terrible communication and online delivery
I ordered a pair of glasses online recently from Ollie Quinn. Although their frames are nice, it has been the worst communication and service I've ever received. Before I submitted my prescription in store, I was told that my order would be expedited as I needed them for a new job which required a lot of computer use. I was told that this wouldn't be a problem because of my simple prescription. However, I had no confirmation so I followed up a couple times leading up to the expected delivery date. I was told by a lady who worked in the Putney store that she phoned the online team that the order would definitely arrive in the morning on a Saturday and that they would be ready by the afternoon. I called in the next day and was then told that the frames haven't arrived and that the online team who manage the orders were closed so there's no way of contacting them. Long story short my frames arrived way later than expected and I had to do without my glasses for a week at work. I also had to constantly chase for updates throughout this whole process. I won't be ordering from them again. Hopefully these glasses are at least good quality.
BAD! CUSTOMER SERVICE
BAD!! customer service!! Contact customer service a few times as my glasses sent to wrong store which is completely out the way for me to get to. There customer service have never responded to help come to resolution absolutely awful.
Bad Quality Frames.
I bought a pair of glasses in May of this year and have constantly had trouble with them. One of the arms need tightening almost every day and they also constantly slide down my face. I went back to the shop to get the arm sorted out and the assistant was very helpful but the problem very quickly returned. They are nice frames BUT I would NEVER buy from Ollie Quinn again.
Shocking customer service on faulty frames.
I purchased a pair of glasses for my boyfriend 11 months ago as a back up pair. They were almost identical to his current Ollie Quinn frames that I knew he was happy with. For the past 11 months he had been switching between the two pairs, however after a few months he mentioned that one of the arms was loose on the pair that I'd bought him. I took the frames into the Angel store to get tightened up. They didn't appear to be any better but they were wearable.
After a few more months my boyfriend told me that the looseness appeared to be getting worse so I took the frames back to the Angel store again. This time, we were told that the arm couldn't be tightened anymore as tightening the screw didn't make any difference and the arm was just loose. In my option (having had 20yrs fashion accessory buying and product development experience, including eyewear for high street and premium brands) I mentioned that the metal on that particular hinge seemed too soft or weakened which was causing the arm to wobble. My boyfriend decided that he could live with the looseness as he loved the frames. Before we left the store, the member of staff serving us explained that should we have any further issues, we should return them and if the frames were within warranty, they would be replaced. The problem is, this wasn't the case. The arm fell off in my boyfriends hand when he was removing them from his head and when I returned the broken arm and frame to the Angel store I was told that this wasn't covered under the manufacturers warranty and the manager accused my boyfriend of snapping them. They emailed pictures of the frames, highlighting scratches that were completely unrelated to the metal breaking. One of which was caused by the member of staff who was tried to tighten the hinge.
I am absolutely amazed at how badly this was dealt with. To be told and reassured that we could return the glasses if we had any further issues, only to the be accused of breaking them is astonishing. Especially when you consider how saturated and competitive the eyewear market is. We were offered a replacement pair for £50 but the frames were still under warranty and we were previously told that they would be replaced. Also, to state that the fault was not covered under the manufacturers warranty is not for the customer to worry about. It's for Ollie Quinn to resolve with the customer and for Ollie Quinn to then resolve with the manufacturer.
Sad and shocking service from Ollie Quinn. I suggest they train their staff (the manager of the Angel store) to recognise a genuine fault and teach them not to insult customers.
Returned business is what keeps companies afloat. Staff also need to understand this. Sadly, we will not be returning to Ollie Quinn.
Helpful staff - Great glasses
Discovered Ollie Quinn by accident after searching through a lot of uninspiring opticians... The Spitalfields store had very helpful staff, an interesting range of designs and at a good price.
Really happy with my glasses. Took a little longer because of my tricky prescription but reassuring they are taking quality control seriously.
So pleased to have found an independent rather than the big chain stores. The first time I've actively seeked out a stores newsletter to keep an eye out for future designs.
...oh and genius folding glasses case
Where are my glasses
Ordered glasses online. Despite e mails asking for an update regarding despatch no one has bothered to reply. No phone number available for online orders . Quick enough to take the money and then don’t bother with you. Customer service is atrocious. When and if I ever receive these glasses I will update. Will never go back to Ollie Quinn again. Avoid in line ordering. Ollie Quinn if you bother to read this hopefully you will reply to my e mails.
