OnCue Talent is an Australian talent agency connecting everyday people with opportunities as extras in film, television, and commercial productions. We provide an entry pathway for individuals with no prior acting experience who are interested in working on set. Our information sessions are designed to explain how the industry works, what productions look for, and how casting opportunities are offered. OnCue Talent is not an employer, and roles are not guaranteed, as casting decisions are made by production companies based on their specific requirements. For those who choose to proceed, we offer a one-time casting profile setup service. This includes taking photos, recording measurements, and creating a professional profile used to submit talent for suitable roles. Participation is optional. Many of our registered talent go on to gain on-set experience, meet industry professionals, and take part in a wide range of productions. We are committed to being transparent about how the process works so individuals can decide if this opportunity is right for them. Many individuals searching for OnCue Talent reviews are looking to understand whether this opportunity aligns with their expectations. We encourage attendees to review the information provided carefully and make an informed decision based on their own goals.

In all honestly, I wish I could give a lower rating but I guess I’ll take what I can get. Firstly, I’d like to address that I personally think that this is a scam. I’d like to point out that in the info session that I went to; they did provide information about the problems I had with the service, however I would say that it wasn’t in great detail as I would sooner find out later.
1. They mentioned that realistically that they couldn’t get me a role - now, I can understand this statement and I’m grateful that they were upfront about it though I am not happy with the lack of communication. I get it, they have hundreds if not thousands but how am I suppose to know if I’m at the bottom of the list, quite really you don’t receive any feedback whatsoever.
2. In accordance to lack of activity - they mentioned that it could get your account closed down but they never mentioned the lack of communication. After further research it states in their agreement that they can close it down without notice. I’m annoyed as I don’t remember if they stated this in the info session. Futhermore even if they did, I can’t understand how they expect me to remember if I went to that info session at the beginning of the year.
To address both these problems, I understand that they cannot get to everyone especially in this career but I feel that whatever system they are utilising is not favourable for the people they have that have paid for their service. As I don’t know their system, I can only offer an example which is; if the system is finding people based on recent activity and paid roles, I would say I can most likely guarantee that the same people are being cycled and recycle without letting others have a chance. I cannot provide any feedback for change of system or that my assumption is right in what system they use. Right now I am only providing my accurate experience in the best way possible without sounding too negative.

This is a total scam. They will exactly show you videos of people making money and then get you registered to them and pay $295. Once this is done you will never ever hear from them again.
I am literally in my 20s 161cm tall and weigh 58kgs. While registering they said "people like you dont need a longer time to get a job" but here I am 7 months later with not even a single mail from them.
Please note that I have already worked on TV, back in my country even in English.
Absolute waste of money.
Rest is your choice 😊
Since I joined this agency I have very high hopes that this would be the way for me to continue my passion in film/commercial industry which I already started in Philippines as a theatre actress. I pay 295 for our portfolio and never expected to be booked as an extra on the well known Hollywood movie. At first, I was very excited and happy at the same time but unfortunately it got cancelled the fitting scheduled but the good thing is they pay me after the cancellation and I already received what stated on the extra payslip. In addition, team is very responsive in terms of rescheduling the new set and any queries that you need to ask for the film production. I am hoping to be booked more extra and more commercial modelling in the near future.

After 4 years since signing up and paying, I was booked for a job, it got cancelled, but was going to be paid for fitting. They have my bank details but have not gotten paid! I have had no response from them about payment.
I understand it may take up to 6 weeks, but my concerns are more security around my bank details and a lack of communication - this builds distrust, and I can understand why people say it's a scam. It seems like they only respond when they need something asap.
I agree with many on here that you should not pay to sign up. If you were looking for a job on seek - would you pay a fee to just apply for job with a company?
I'm hopeful they can be better.

Complete scam company in my opinion, they even require you pay to “begin employment” with them at one of their “information sessions” (when asked to pay for a job position you should realise immediately that it is almost certainly a scam business or fraudulent entity). They may say it is for setting up a “profile” however they take what they call “professional photos” on an Iphone camera! And not to mention their website and its “casting profile” looks entirely rushed, cheap and slapped together. This could not be a clearer scam/fraudulent business in my experience and opinion, i believe they are purely looking to take $200-400 from you and never contact you again, please for yourself and your finances do not engage with them under any circumstances!

Yes it's a scam, I stupidly paid $199 as a pensioner plus an extra $39.95 for the photos to be emailed. They didn't email me photos and I could copy them from their website for free. The photos taken with a phone weren't great so I sent 3 emails asking for a refund of the $39.95 as they hadn't emailed them and asked If I could replace the photos of me for photos that I'd organise myself. No reply, just tried to call them but couldn't get through. Don't waste your money or time with OnCue.

I signed up and got my first gig a few weeks after for 5 days work !
Oncue agency is transparent with everything. They are the one who’s working hard to find jobs and get the availability from talents. If the talents are not available, they won’t get the jobs.
Easy communication and Always get back the communication through email and text
This is my dream job to work in a Movie industry and hopefully I can get more work to gain more experience and can turned from background extras to a successful artist one day.
Thank you so much all the team Oncue. Your hard work is very much appreciated
Best regards,
Rita

I should have done this 20 years ago. Remember when you we're young & everyone told you to get a real job? Go to work, avoid the boss, stress about office politics, all with a fake smile?
Well this week I had fun! Made a bunch of new friends, was treated better, ate better and was paid better than any real job I've ever had. Stress free work. I'm happy.

I signed up and after about three weeks I received my first role as an extra in a film set in the 30s. It was fun the fitting phase and seeing how a crew works on a big project, there were about sixty of us extras

This week I finally had my first experience on set. It really was a fun experience where I got to meet a variety of wonderful people including extras, crew, etc. On set I was given dynamic instructions including the ability to act out in the background as my own character. Being a creative writer myself I naturally took to this and enjoyed turning myself into something I came up with on the spot, like others in the cast, and interacting with them.
The food provided was lovely and breaks were managed well especially when considering how large of a production this shoot was, so I was told. Of course being my first shoot I had no frame of reference but naturally I trust my more experienced peers on set. :)
Now the only reason my review is at four stars instead of five is primarily the call notices. Being sent to the crew only twelve hours before the shoot leaves very little time for preparation, and you only get these after you’ve already confirmed availability, it’s hard to know what you’re getting yourself into beforehand. I understand this may not be a fault of OnCue’s but I’m more rating my experience as a whole on an objective basis. Which also leads to other minor things like shelter and heating on set. The shed really wasn’t ideal for dozens and dozens of people and the heating generators weren’t cutting it either. Unfortunately I did develop a cold.
However, aside from a few aspects of this production that I would have liked to see improved in the ways that were aforementioned by this review. It was a great experience with great people and a great scene. I hope I can use this to continue as an extra as it’s just a lot of fun, but also hopefully break through into film in acting/writing capacity sometime as I would like to progress in that direction. I’d like to express my deepest appreciation for OnCue who no doubt work hard to help make these opportunities happen.

I had a really great experience so far. I landed a role in a short period of time. The work it self is really fun. The process was very well planned. It was amazing to experience a production. Can’t wait for my next roles. Recommend you to sign up. If the request meet your talent than you get the role. Have fun! 🤩

Although I got my first assignment after 8 months, it was a great experience, it is a fun and easy job in which you just have to be yourself and get some extra money randomly.

I had a great experience working on the Big Box booking through On Cue. The entire team was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the day. Everyone made me feel welcome, and everything was well organized. It was a wonderful experience, and I truly enjoyed being part of the project. I look forward to working with the team again in the future. Thank you!

After registering with OnCue Talent in Dec 2024/ Jan 2025, I recently completed my first booking through the agency—a five-day background role on the feature film ‘The Big Fix’ (Starring Marlo Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed).
From the initial booking through to the completion of the shoot, the OnCue team were professional, responsive and supportive. Communication was clear throughout, and whenever there were last-minute schedule changes, the team kept everyone updated as quickly as information became available.
As a first-time extra on a major feature film, I really appreciated the guidance provided before and during the production. The experience gave me a fantastic insight into how large-scale film productions operate, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside an incredible cast and crew.
Thank you to everyone at OnCue for your professionalism and support. I look forward to working with you again on future productions.
