OnCue Talent is an Australian talent agency connecting everyday people with opportunities as extras in film, television, and commercial productions. We provide an entry pathway for individuals with no prior acting experience who are interested in working on set. Our information sessions are designed to explain how the industry works, what productions look for, and how casting opportunities are offered. OnCue Talent is not an employer, and roles are not guaranteed, as casting decisions are made by production companies based on their specific requirements. For those who choose to proceed, we offer a one-time casting profile setup service. This includes taking photos, recording measurements, and creating a professional profile used to submit talent for suitable roles. Participation is optional. Many of our registered talent go on to gain on-set experience, meet industry professionals, and take part in a wide range of productions. We are committed to being transparent about how the process works so individuals can decide if this opportunity is right for them. Many individuals searching for OnCue Talent reviews are looking to understand whether this opportunity aligns with their expectations. We encourage attendees to review the information provided carefully and make an informed decision based on their own goals.

I signed up with On Cue a few weeks ago after attending and information session. I found the session engaging and informative.
The onboarding and sign up process was fairly simple and communication has always been great.
I was lucky enough to book a spot in a feature film which was a great experience. It was an overnight shoot which was a definite change from my everyday life! I look forward to picking up more work and learning about the TV & Film industry

Attended the OnCue information session in Sydney following an ad I saw on Seek. Was curious to see what this was all about Information session was good and reasonably well explained. Paid the $295 fee for the establishment of the online profile and taking of "professional" shots for your portfolio.
The "professional" photos were poor and taken by some assistant. There are a few with my eyes closed. Really? That is poor. I have uploaded some others which are better that I took myself.
Positively, I have received numerous "save the date" opportunity type emails over the past 3.5 months and been successful in getting 2 movie extras call ups. It's certainly a different experience than you would think initially. Overall enjoyed it and this process is good.
Was concerned about the payment process for the jobs you are chosen for. The online portal has a section for you to enter your banking details for payment. However, that's not used by payroll. You receive an email from payroll asking you to enter all your personal bank details for each job. I am concerned about the security measures here but am assured "everything is fine" by payroll.

I got the opportunity one year after signing up. The production team was good. Working as extras was fun even in extreme weather conditions. They took good care of us. Food was good. I look forward to more opportunities like this.

It is my first time ever working as Extra and I wasn’t sure what to expect when I signed up. All the steps were clear - confirming my availability; then confirming my schedule; get to the venue on time then everything rolls accordingly. It was fun and different from my usual routine - staying up until finished filming for the day, having a pie at 1am, wrapping up at 2:30am/3am, getting home around 4/4:20am. It was a great fun experience and I am so grateful to work as Extra in a big production! Thank you for the opportunity!

I recently worked as a background extra through OnCue Talent and had a genuinely great experience. This was my first feature film and the whole process from booking to on-set was smooth and well communicated. Call times and updates came through reliably, and the production itself was brilliantly run.
The conditions were cold but the team on set were professional, empathetic, and great at managing such a large group of extras. I'd absolutely recommend OnCue to anyone who is realistic about how the industry works opportunities depend on your profile and availability, but when you do get booked it's a fantastic experience.
Looking forward to the next one.

Wow! Everything is so fast paced once the ball starts rolling. Signed up and asked fo availabilities for roles. I did have afew rejections before landing a extras role. It was a steep learning curve working on a big production. Everyone was super helpful and kind. Even when under the pump and you could tell they were stressed out. I learnt to just go with the flow and understand instructions can change on a drop of a hat.
Oncue were very quick and diligent in ensuring onboarding for production was completed as quickly as possible. There was some delay in communication later down the line but with possibly thousands of people working for them its understandable.
Over all a really positive experience. Would recommend this agency to others.

Got my first job within the first six months itself, looking forward to many more opportunities ahead

Attended the Brisbane session recently. We were shown video clips showing well known actors in big movies as well as "extras" in various tv commercials, and given statements about potential earnings. And then, " these are the fees, and for today only if you sign up you can get $100 off". That was the moment I started questioning whether this was genuine. Basically it appeared to be a rather unprofessional hardsell for them to make money by getting as many people to sign up. They were careful in the wording around there being a guarantee that you would actually get any work. Photos were taken using a mobile phone.

Signed up, paid for “professional headshots” which were taken on some guys phone. Now 4 months later there is still not a single thing I’ve gotten from it.

My family joined this agency in August 2024 and paid a $200 sign-up fee after being told there would be regular opportunities available. It has now been over 18 months, and we have not received a single job through the agency. This experience has not matched what was communicated to us when we signed up, and it has been very disappointing. I would not recommend Oncue Talent to anyone based on our experience.

Total scam.
Paid $300 for some pictures and an opportunity after an hour long lecture.
This isn’t a job it’s just a pray and hope.
Waste of time and money.
Signed up went to the information session never had anything back except for free jobs now I can’t work for free. If someone needs an income don’t rely on this. They never call you. They always bullshit. What they’re gonna say to you. Don’t waste your $200.

This scam of an agency first lure poor people to their stupid trap by telling you don’t need experience to be an actor or in tv and commercials then with a free information session they make people pay like $300 for their crappy headshots and basically rip you off after you paid they never call you. So don’t fall for their dodgy business. Run away they are not legit.

Was able to meet some incredible people as see behind the scenes of making a movie!
Definitely one of the luckier timings as I know many go without being booked for roles for a long time.
When there are roles to be offered, OnCue is fast and responsive in communicating the needs of production.
Standard Agency fees when compared to others agencies in NSW.
Hoping to continue to be booked for future roles!
To everyone wanting to join, make sure you’re able to support yourself first as the role is just something special on the side.

Don't trust this company at all. No jobs in 3 years after I paid 400 AUD.

Reply from OnCue Talent
Not a legitimate job, if you go to their information sessions you will be asked to be pad $295 to join. They should not be advertising on seek, as its not a legitimate job offer.

Reply from OnCue Talent
They advertise the info sessions as a free signup to the agency with no membership fees, but at the and of a pretty lengthy sales pitch it turns out you have to pay them $295 for photos and a profile. I have no idea how they are for actually getting you work, but you're likely to be competing with a lot of other people for roles if their business model is just fleecing as many through the door as they can.
