Avoid if you have any sense. Their trade-in offers are a massive scam, they use a third party who make up a reason and try to get you to send them more money just return it. OnePlus offer no help and don't seem to care.

AVOID OnePlus, they do not CARE!

As per my review below albeit told to contact OnePlus, they're still not assisting, only resending a template apology stating they're investigating but still are doing nothing! I still have the faulty phone and was forced to buy another phone to use.
This company should be shut down...the customer service us diabolical.
They do not know how to treat customers, their only care is to make a profit selling sub standard devices.

My device is 11 months old now and this is the second time this has happened with the phone not ringing at all and buttons stay greyed out. The 1st time was after a software update and just like the 1st time, they took over a month of me emailing/contacting them to finally take the phone back for fixing and within a week of getting back, the fault re occurs.

AVOID at all costs,

Bought a tablet

I bought a tablet.
I was unable to accept the delivery.
Package was automatically returned to sender.

Been 4 months.
Did not receive a refund yet.
While their FAQ clearly states this would be the case.

First they claimed we received the product and activated it, even while the delivery service acknowledged our claim that it was send back to onePlus.
Then they claimed the could not find the product.
Tried to make me sign a waver where i did receive the package, did not sign it.

Finaly after 3.5 months, would refund.
We did not receive a refund, nor is there a payment pending.
Oneplus refused to provide us with the account number, to which the refund was made, nor with a transaction (bank)statement.
Only providing us with a transaction ID.

Tried to buy a phone and use promo code SPRING25 for $70 off. First time I thought I messed up and did it again with the same results. Tried to call back and see what the problem was. Also supposed to be a survey at the end which I was hung up on all 3 times before the survey because they knew I was upset with them not helping at all.

Non-existent technical support, cowboy approach to software updates

The phone is good when it operates however their technical support is non-existent with the only solution for every problem encountered is 'Factory Reset'. The manufacturer appears to have released a faulty update which has rendered a significant amount of their devices either inoperable or half-operable however they are refusing to acknowledge the existence of this issue. PLEASE RESEARCH ONEPLUS 12 ISSUES AFTER OXYGENOS 15 BEFORE BUYING! This should provide enough discouragement from buying their products.

Refusal to refund RETURNED items

I returned a gift with purchase Oneplus Watch and a Magnetic charger back to Oneplus and have NOT recieved a refund. The total that I am owed is $299.26. Every time I ask Oneplus for a update about the refund, they reply with the same generic email delaying the process. The label they provided has the RMA code where they could easily find my order. Fedex website has confirmed that the package was delivered back to Oneplus on Feb.17 and signed by an employee named B.Dubec. Fedex tracking shows no irregularities during transit so I am certain that the items were delivered untouched to Oneplus successfully. I have been a customer/fan of this company since 2017 but this has severely damaged my view on this company and I would not recommend.

The problem with OnePlus is they promise a trade in value when buying their flagship phone. Then their Italian scammers World Business SRL/Mondo Affari send photos of another device claiming damage. The image they sent was not my phone, it showed damage to the screen when I have photos before despatch showing
The screen was in perfect condition. Please don't believe any trade in offer from these cowboys, they won't honour it. And I will never buy OnePlus again, such a shit experience.

Review of OnePlus 12 – Disappointing Experience with Aftercare

I purchased the OnePlus 12 directly from the OnePlus online store, expecting a premium device and seamless customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but smooth.

By day two of using the phone, I noticed hairline cracks on the screen, despite the device being well-protected and never dropped. This was extremely disappointing for a high-end smartphone. I immediately contacted OnePlus customer support and initially requested a replacement.

However, after experiencing poor and inconsistent communication, I decided to exercise my right to a full refund within the 15-day return period, as per OnePlus’ own policy. This is where the real frustration began. Despite confirming receipt of my return, OnePlus has repeatedly sent vague updates about case escalations, product inspections, and verifications, but has yet to confirm that my refund is being processed. The lack of transparency and the feeling that they are deliberately stalling is deeply concerning.

At this point, I still have no confirmation of when (or if) my refund will be issued. The aftercare service has been confusing, slow, and unreliable, making me lose all confidence in the brand.

While the OnePlus 12 is not their very latest model, it’s still a flagship phone with high expectations. Unfortunately, if anything goes wrong, their customer service and return process are more frustrating than reassuring. Because of this, I will be stepping away from OnePlus entirely and cautioning others to think twice before purchasing. Buyer beware!

Update:

Refund Still Delayed. Unacceptable service.

I initially left a review about my OnePlus 12 arriving with hairline cracks on the screen. Despite handling the phone carefully, I noticed the damage on day two and immediately initiated a return within the 15-day return period as per OnePlus’ policy.

Since then, the customer service experience has been a nightmare. My faulty device was received by OnePlus on March 10th, yet weeks later, I am still waiting for my refund. Instead of a straightforward resolution, I have been stuck in an endless loop of "case escalations," "verifications," and "additional steps", with no clear timeline for when I will actually receive my money back.

Each time I follow up, I get vague responses asking for patience, but no real progress is made. This is completely unacceptable for a company that claims to offer a hassle-free return policy. At this stage, I have had to escalate the issue to consumer protection authorities.

I had been a loyal OnePlus customer, but after this experience, I will never purchase from them again. If you're considering buying from OnePlus, be aware that their aftercare and refund process is far from reliable.

Avoid this company at all cost!

An absolute charlatan of a company. I came from Apple thinking that all companies treat their customers properly, only to be hit with a litany of disasters, from the exceptionally poor website to the rip off trade in subsidiary in Italy whom despite the fact that I bought the product from one plus and they have all my serial numbers on their record, they refused to honour their agreement because I missed one zero on the exceptionally long serial number.
I advise anyone not to follow the paid hype on YouTube and stick to proper companies like Apple. A slightly better battery will not compensate for the pain you will encounter if the software and back up support is as hopeless as one plus.

Oneplus is outsourcing to their own customers.

Oneplus' courier lost the parcel and now they want me to file a police report, block the phone for their own insurance purposes. I need to wait in excess of three weeks to get the specific documents they require. Outsourcing using their own customers to sort these documents. I have already been in contact with their useless customer "support"

Happy user

At this time I have been a one plus customer for 5 years, I have had the Nord 2 and now I have the Nord 3. The only ''negative'' thing I can say abt those phones is that the battery life is first really good and then it goes down pretty steeply. But that's also because you can charge your phone with a 85W charger. I'm also waiting till my watch 3 will arrive, I had the early bird deal but it would arrive next month but I can wait. Every phone I ordered online from the oneplus store and all the communication was always good and on point, deliveries have never been late or cancelled.
Overall I'm a happy customer and I will continue to buy and use OnePlus.

Been a customer for years and have purchased multiple devices. They are generally ok but the charging ports are awful! Plus they disabled the ability to use wireless charging. Went back and forth with customer services for months with no fix. Will not buy anymore from OnePlus.

I like this company and their products

I have recently purchased the Watch 3 and got free Buds 3 with it. Everything went smooth, it was a pre-order and the parcel arrived earlier than estimated. This is not my first purchase, I have owned multiple OnePlus phones over the last 10+ years.

One time my OnePlus 3 started having camera focus issues, just before the warranty period ended. The repair was approved by OnePlus Support and I could take my phone to ThePhoneLab in Amsterdam who repaired it while I waited.

I never used their trade-in, but I don't like the idea of sending my stuff somewhere to be assessed, regardless of the company behind it. Just sell it locally or pass it to a family member or friend.

As far as I'm aware, it's not the customer's responsibility if incorrectly delivered.

Atrocious, incompetent Customer service

I sent in my OnePlus Open in on 2/12/14 to get repaired cause of a dead pixel on the inner screen. It was received on 2/13 and immediately repaired and sent back on 2/14. Sounds great, right? WRONG! cause Oneplus' online tracker doesn't update, its still stuck on inspected. Oneplus reps and escalation team had no idea where my phone was, did not know the tracking. I spent a week trying to figure out where my phone was, only to find out its been sitting at a fedex pickup location for 8 days. Fedex only holds package for 5 days. Than it gets sent back to the sender. I drove to 2 fedex's, spent over 4 hrs of my day trying to track down my package (fedex is horrid as well) all to show up at the last location and find out it was sent back. Mind you, i did all the research and chased it down. Oneplus did nothing; they're still emailing me telling me to go pick it up, literally not listening to a word I'm saying. So now it got sent back to their repair center and i request multiple times to send it back asap. they received it 2/28 (but they of course don't know that), i inquire again and again all run around BS from customer service, no one knows anything. Leo Smith and Stefan Frensby on the escalation are utterly useless, they just send generic emails apologizing and telling me they have no means of communicating with other departments. If you go on reddit and other sources you'll see others with the same experience with the same people. I finally got my phone back on 3/3. Guess what... here comes stefan telling me to they will check with logistics and let me know when its reshipped... I cannot express the utter incompetence of this company but lets recap: your CX teams are useless and so are your escalation teams. No one can communicate or reads emails properly. Phone reps are no better, supervisors are impossible to get in touch with. I tried to file a formal complaint and your rep says they'll just put a note in the case.. yeah thats going absolutely no where. no one has any means of tracking anything, they clearly cant read emails cause i didn't get any answers to any of my questions, and at the end of it all i asked how id be compensated for all the stress and this nightmare of an experience and Stefan offers me a "$10 coupon as a token of good will". Utterly insulting and disgusting. This company is a monstrosity, i will be selling this phone, and neither myself or anyone i know will support this company ever again under my watch.

Worst customer service experience EVER

I never leave reviews on anything so if you are reading this, please reconsider buying a phone from this company. I had bought a OnePlus13 phone which I had received towards the end of January. Once I had received the phone, I immediately returned it to USPS same day for personal reasons. I had gotten a tracking receipt and even emailed OnePlus customer service that I had returned the phone and asked how long it would take to get my refund once they had retrieved the phone, which they said 5-7 business days. Well about a week passes and I did not get any emails stating that they had gotten the phone even though my tracking ID said it was delivered. I emailed them asking if they had gotten the phone with a screenshot showing that the phone was delivered. About another week passes and I STILL haven’t gotten any emails about them receiving the phone. I continue to email them and they updated my case ID number many times because the threads were getting “too long” so at this point I just decided to call the, because in the emails, they kept telling me to wait another 2-3 business days as they were delayed on even responding to my original email. When I called their customer service, they said they couldn’t talk over the phone because the case was opened under emails?? I have never heard of such BS!! It’s all one company and that company should have access to all files and cases. At this point I was livid because I had sent the phone back 2 weeks ago, they said they had no tracking on it, and I’m sitting here with $954 no where. I understood once I bought the phone that that money would be taken out, no big deal, and I had a trade in so I was expecting money back either way. Thank God I didn’t send my phone in. Well a month later and after STILL getting emails saying “please give us another 24-48 business hours”, they said around 11 TIMES” I filed a chargeback dispute. That seemed to be the only way to get that money back and guess what, 4 days later I got my refund back. This email thread lasted 34 emails. 34. I will never recommend this company to anyone or their phones.

Trade in lies

Traded in my perfect condition s20 ultra. When they inspected it they said it has hardware failure and had lowered my trade in value. They also took almost a month to inspect it which blew past the 2 week return date.

Awful service

If I could put 0 stars I would.
The service is absolutely disgusting.
I've sent my phone in a perfect condition, they didn't accept it because apparently the screen was broken.
I paid 27 euro for them to send it back and when I got my phone back, it was broken. Samsung flip, it doesn't open anymore.
I have a video showing the state of my phone prior.
Clara is the one replying to my emails, she's not making any sense.

They are scammers.

OnePlus trade in is an absolute scam.
I've been loyal since the 8 pro
Signed up for the early bird trade in deal for the op13 and was gonna trade my op12 .op 12 was valued at 420 euros which is around £360. Op12 was in immaculate condition always in a leather wallet case and is barely a year old without a mark on it.no screen burn and battery still at 96% .they downgrade it and offer me the equivalent of £260 because it's (showing signs of use) such a vague term to use.i tried countless times contacting both parties and only received cooperation and generic messages with know info with regards to how they graded it.there was no mention of grading when I ordered op 13.now I'm on my own and have to pay €27 to get my phone back.which I'm concerned about because other reviews say that this is a nightmare.so I'm out of pocket ,pissed off and hate OnePlus now.
