If it wasn't such a simple business model and easy to book, we would have never got couples' counselling. Overall, it was a good experience and it gave us a good understanding of our own and each other's behaviours and adopt better ways of communication. It will take time but we made a good start.
Trish is very experienced, patient and made good observations to help us move forward. Thank you Trish and fingers crossed that we will continue on this track. If we cannot, we know where to come for help and support.

This is the first time I’ve had counselling. It was nice to do with my husband so you can experience it with someone else because I wasn’t sure what to expect. Kay is very friendly, approachable, easy person to talk to and put us at ease straight away. Online zoom really worked for us as we have young kids and never have time for ourselves unless they are asleep.
It really helped us to see each other’s perspective and understand one and other and it’s massively helped us. I would highly recommend Kay and we will definitely be coming back for future sessions when and if we need it.

We decided to go for couple counselling after my husband and I had experienced an extended period of being unable to have even one conversation without it ending up in a row! I even left home for a week to have a think about splitting up - a huge consideration after 30 years together. After lots of internet research, we decided on onlinecouplescounselling and Elaine Brown because of the consistently good reviews. From the outset, we both felt really comfortable with Elaine - with the way she not only listened but 'heard' what each of us was saying; by the way we felt she wasn't taking sides but working at finding different ways we could approach how we related to each other. Elaine saw in each of us what we weren't seeing in each other but which we did see when she pointed it out. In between sessions, we both worked at taking on board what Elaine had suggested and, surprisingly quickly, we found we were making huge strides in the right direction. Like magic! Instead of the same circular arguments, our approaches are different and we have a new level of understanding. This is wonderful as we have always loved each other and now we feel we are enjoying being with each other again. The tension has lifted from our home and caring has returned. It is, of course, not without the odd argument so is still dynamic but that's fine. We can't recommend the kind, emotionally intelligent and skilled Elaine more. Elaine has got us back to how we once were. Just wish we'd found her ages ago.

Janine is a wonderful counsellor with years of experience - she has helped us through many difficult periods where we were finding it hard to work out how to move forward. She has gotten to know us personally and is able to bring us back to what is important to us and what patterns we may be falling into as well as give us the tools to deal with it.
