This was by far the worst online course…

This was by far the worst online course experience I’ve ever had. If it were possible to give negative stars, I absolutely would.
The course advertises a low price, but once you start checking out you’re hit with one add-on after another. The checkout process feels intentionally designed to push extra charges—certificate delivery options, notifications, upgrades, and other add-ons that quickly drive the price far beyond what was originally advertised. It felt misleading and borderline deceptive.
Even worse, the checkout pages repeatedly try to get you to pay extra for things that should be basic, like email or text confirmations that you completed the course. Those should be standard, not paid add-ons buried in a confusing checkout flow.
The course itself is outdated and tedious. Navigation is clunky, and the pacing feels artificially slowed down to force you to sit through unnecessary delays.
Customer service was another major problem. When I contacted support to clarify the fees and options, communication was difficult and the answers I received did not resolve the issues. Instead of helping, the interaction left me even more frustrated.
Overall, the experience felt like a bait-and-switch pricing model combined with poor support and an outdated course platform. There are many defensive driving options in Texas—save yourself the frustration and choose a different one.
