I have used Open Fix on several occasions now, as I’ve had a few different issues with my boiler over the past few month's. Each time they’ve come out quickly to sort the problem, and every single engineer has been absolutely brilliant — always pleasant, polite, and explained exactly what was wrong and what they were doing to fix it. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and every repair has been done to a really high standard first time round. It’s such a relief to find a company you can actually rely on. I would highly recommend Open Fix to anyone!

The Engineer arrived to service my boiler in the loft, and then refused to go up there, telling me it was dangerous. The Loft is well boarded and lit.
The Boiler has been serviced in that house for over 13 years by various engineers.
Openfix will not service boilers if they are in the loft, but they don't inform you until they arrive.
Be aware of that snippet of information. It's in the T&C's but they were most unhelpful when trying to sort it out. They quoted the T&C's at me.

Rip off cancellation policy
OF claim they can't cancel a policy ,until cancellation charges are paid, despite making clear i want to cancel the policies, bad advising them that the DD had been cancelled.
Please stay away from this company, gp with a reputable more recognised name

Been with openfix for a few years after 30 years with BG ! Apart from having to “ remind “ them about my annual service , no problems. Had a breakdown over winter it was fixed promptly.

Really poor communication. The boiler and gas safety certificate are due for renewal on my rental property and I requested that the allocated engineer contact the tenant directly to arrange this, for the tenants convenience. I accept that they could not make contact with the tenant which turned out to be because they were out of the country however, none of my emails to the company were responded to and none of the emails to the engineers company were responded to either. My tenant upon returning home called the engineers company and was told she could not arrange the service without my permission!! Given I had already done this, it was frustrating for both me and the tenant. This was the first time I have had any need to communicate with openfix since taking out the policy but needless to say I am not impressed with the poor communication and customer service thus far. I can only hope it gets better!

I cannot comment on overall service as I have only just taken out the cover. It was nice to actually speak with customer serve and all my questions were answered. Easy to set up and competitive price.
