Renewed

I’ve just renewed for second year and upgraded to include drains and electrical cover . So far so good . Had to make a call out last year , repair done quickly and well .

Good service

I didn't even have to make the service booking. The engineer called me to arrange the date and time. He kept me informed about his arrival time.

Openfix leaving me at risk of not having valid gas safety certificate

Openfix engineer attended my rental property in Derby for gas safety checks a couple of weeks ago. Up to now they have not issued me with a gas safety certificate and not even able to tell me if the safety checks passed. My current certificate has only a week to expire which they are aware of. I have chased them twice on the phone. They don't seem to understand that it is a legal requirement for a landlord to have valid gas safety certificate at all times. I am very worried now. In the past I have used British gas and 24/7 Home Rescue and they always send me the safety certificate on the day of the inspection. I never had to chase or worry. This is very poor service from openfix, enough for me to not want to be with them.

The original engineer did not provide the Gas Safety Record following attendance, which is why we arranged for an alternative engineer to attend and complete this for you. We can confirm that the certificate was issued on 27th, ahead of your previous certificate expiring on the 28th, so there was no lapse in compliance.

That said, we’re very sorry for the delay and the inconvenience caused in getting this resolved. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and have used your feedback to improve how we manage and chase certification moving forward.
