Most resellers spend too much money and time on domains. With Openprovider and our Membership program, you can buy, renew, and transfer domains at cost price on one platform to become a more successful and profitable reseller. We are a rapidly-growing, ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology scale-up founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We understand the frustrations of wasting hours searching for new domains at fair prices; being hit by unexpected renewal costs after the first year; and losing customers because you can’t offer attractive bundles. That’s why we built a platform to easily manage operations for over 1,900 domain extensions. We were the first to offer a Membership Program to get the domains you need at cost price, and we've been helping clients sell millions of domains for more than 20 years.

Scammers. They resell domains and restrict access to it even if you are the owner.

This company has started to send unsolicited Spam emails to our company. Very unprofessional and against GDPR. Never trust a company that spams you as most spammers are scammers

Indeed, as others have mentioned, there are areas for improvement, such as:
- The domain availability check works better only after payment. Many domains are displayed as available when they are actually not.
- There's no confirmation explaining the reason for an unsuccessful registration, only an email stating "Account balance increased," which can be misleading. It might make us think we can retry the same domain. A simple phrase like, "Due to an unsuccessful purchase, we have added the money to your account balance," along with, "If you wish to request a refund, contact us at..." would help clarify.
That said, I'm satisfied overall since the refund process was initiated and successfully completed. I can see good intentions here.
Thank you for the service!

After being a customer of +17 years and having 500+ domains, the service of OpenProvider dramatically decreased, year by year. Support is slow and when issues need to be escalated, they just fail to do their job.
I moved all my domains over from woke GoDaddy and it went pretty smoothly. I even managed to link my main domain to my ProtonMail account which went pretty seamlessly. I had an issue trying to register a co.uk domain but Hardik sorted that out quickly which was very helpful. So far so good and thank you.
I missed the domain by their slow whois system.
I tried registering right after 1 hour after the rr.lu domain expired on whois.
I tried to register at 3 locations, Hostinger, Verpex, and Crazydomains(they all is .lu tld reseller from openprovider), but all failed. From what I heard from them, "available" is displayed on whois, but it is still displayed as "pending delete" on the open provider system, so it is not possible to register.
Eventually I was harmed by their slow system.
Even though I was the first 3 times to try to register the rr.lu domain, someone else took the domain away after 5 hours.

Obviously, when I registered, it was "available" on whois, and the .lu tld registry confirmed that the result of whois I inquired about was correct, and that the domain was "available" at the time I tried to register.
I am the 100% first one who tried to register rr.lu.
I already have dozens of evidence. Nevertheless, they are still avoiding responsibility, denying that I had ever tried to register.
Unlike me, who gave them evidence, they didn't show me any evidence.
If your argument is firm, please send me evidence of the situation at the time when I tried to register as a support ticket.

NOT recommended for beginners! I find OP prices are good, most of the time the cheapest (but not always).
It works but always very very very slow. Take the time to find what you are looking for regarding settings and so on, don't worry it is somewhere hidden. So far everythings works but I find the controlpanel for the domains not easy to work with.
An examples that annoys me: you cannot sort by expiration date in your domainslist. Like I said, it is working, but the UI is not easy/nice for me.

Mailing problems. Trying to get help with the dns for 5 days now, but some guy tries to brush us off every time. Still no help. I've worked with several providers, and getting help was never a problem. Everything got fixed rather quickly. Openprovider is a real shitshow. Maybe they should understand that not everybody is a coke light drinking techie? Dear helpdesk guy: if that were true, you would be completely obsolete.

Closed down a reseller account and requested a refund for the remaining credit on the account. After 6 months, we still haven't received our refund despite remaining in contact with support for the whole duration of the process. They seem to keep confirming that the payment was processed time and time again, but they can't seem to provide proof of their payment to us. Avoid at all costs.
I've never used such an obstructive, unintuitive, counter-productive and stress-inducing domain management interface, ever.

We've been working with OP for a few years now.
Issues do happen once in a while, and back until the end of 2022 I would say situations would be resolved favourably (even though sometimes it would take a bit more than "acceptable" time).
Since late 2022 when WHMCS got PHP8 support, users started adopting and reporting issues. I was one of these users, and I have open issues for almost an year now, unresolved.
Since we first reported these issues, we've heard all sorts of excuses: the developer was on vacation (because there is ONE developer), the developer was across the globe, the developer was working on the issues, they were no longer fixing the issues but building a brand new module, and 9 months later there is no absolutely no one able to fix any errors, there is no new module, there is NOTHING.
There are recurring problems, and more recurring problems. Domains renew twice, SSL module doesn't work gives a critical error (the fix is as simple as adding is_array() on a line).
As an executive and entrepreneur myself, tried to reach out to this company executive (the one right there on the company about section) from OP though LinkedIn, I got no word back. Marketing was sending out these emails talking about the integrations and whatever of OpenProvider, I scheduled a call with a marketing representative via that email, we had an initial meeting where we talked about all these problems (which I tend to believe he wasn't aware of.
I sent two follow up emails weeks apart asking if there was any news. Got nothing.
So they are this kind of people. They will lie to your face with all sorts of excuses, they won't answer back, and they'll ignore you.
In the meanwhile they updated the GitHub repositories saying the modules were no longer maintained. Nothing will be fixed, period.
On their website, they continue to promote the WHMCS module as if it was a real working product. It's surreal.
For all of this I am now making this review, resuming the experience of this last year working with this company.
I have no words to describe how unprofessional this company is.
EDIT: About the marketing contact, I would like to say correct and say that after a few weeks the contact replied and apologised for the delay, as the message had been lost among many others. No resolution, no dates, no compromise (as these are things that don't depend on him actually) but at least came through.
Hosting company is Hosting Concepts DV with a website of openprovider. I'm looking to redeem my domain. Domain has been down for 3 weeks. Difficult to get a response. Customer service said domain was not afiliated with my domain.

Scammers!
They pretend to sell domains. Once you pay they tell you it’s a premium domain you need to pay more and more.

I tried to register a domain, but after completing the sign-up forms and paying, it turned out the domain was not available. My money ended up as credit in my account. Opening a support ticket to get a refund failed with some error message I do not remember.
After I'd left a negative review here, they reached out to me. They refunded my credit and closed my account per my request. They also asked for details on my actions that led to the domain registration failure, to help their dev team find and fix the issue. This was the best they could have done in the circumstances.

Can register a domain .it it give me error and support don't replay to my tickets. Very bad company.
The domain prices is the only thing that is good. The support is very slow and their WHMCS module is a complete disaster, it was long incompatible with PHP 8.1 and 8. The developers are not active and ive seen issues in the Github that have taken months to answer. Like others here Ive gotten some weird excuses about the developers inability to update in time or take care of issues. The module also functions very poorly, importing domain pricing is a science and you cant barely get any debug information from it. If WHMCS integration is important for you like it is for many web hosts then DO NOT USE OPENPROVIDER. As of writing this I have also been waiting for over 4 business days for them to answer a email about an extremely urgent issue on their end. Im losing customers thanks to Openprovider.
