Extremely appalling service

Extremely appalling service , I have been trying to get my refund for flights cancelled in 2020 due to covid and till date have nothing to show for the frequent calls . The staff have been given a handbook on aggravating their customers in order to discourage you from getting your refund . Their online complaints form sends you to a bot that again goes no where . Bottom line it has been a nightmare and unfortunately there seams to be no respite in sight.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service - informed us multiple times our flight (Budapest to UK) had been cancelled (so we booked with another carrier) only to find out it had not and opodo wanted nothing to do with it even though they openly admitted they made a mistake - they then told us to cancel our other flight and to date have refused to pay the cancellation fee. Still dealing with customer services who just do not want to know. They take your money but no ownership of the travel arrangements. Please avoid at all costs. Having checked their T&C your contract is not with them its with the carrier and they play no part (even if they tell you a flight has been cancelled, when it has not)

Absolute bunch of crooks - avoid at all costs !
8 months of gaslighting, fobbing off , lying and general fraudulent activity (in my opinion).
Will never , never use again and I suggest anyone who is considering to run in the opposite direction!

Waited for 3 hours and still no service

Contacted them to look for options to prepone ticket - they changed day of their choice without asking me —— then when contacted them changed to earlier date

Now I can’t change date because they used the 2 changes allowed on my ticket

But it’s not my fault it’s their fault

Please guys I beg you to not use Edreams/Opodo,they are gangs of thieves,my full refund has been refunded since 26/10/21 and they still holding my money..please let's use social platform Facebook, Instagram,tiktok,twitter etc to make the public to be aware of their shameful acts to customers..this company have to be brought down at all means legally amd face the jury.I have never seen a very mean company like this before. Do not give up in getting your money back.

Never book anything through Opodo

Never book anything through Opodo, we missed a fight to Gibraltar because these clown did not pass our contact details onto the airline. Used Twitter and Facebook to contact the poor customer service. Opodo blame the airline but this is not true, are contact had not been transferred to them. I can’t believe how this company don’t give a hoot!
When you contact them actions are never chased up. Don’t bother using them. Lesson learnt book direct through the airline.

I have fallen for their prime…

I have fallen for their prime membership, it’s supposed to give you priority but I can’t find any difference, same long waiting time.
I wanted to change a flight date, which is free by the airline as I checked because of covid, but they said the airline charges 70 pounds, plus £25 as commission for using the airline software!!!! Are they serious!
The ticket prices has dropped almost to half as the airline has made a 50% discount, and yet they asked me to pay over £100 as a fare difference, although the ticket price is cheaper on their website.

am worrying so bad

am worrying so bad, here there is no option for 0 ratings to Opodo. I booked a flight on August 10th, 2020, it showed a not working fight combination and i booked because of the cheap price. then i realize that I can not able to travel with that combination due to covid 19 situations. immediately the next day i call to Opodo team and asking for a cancellation with a partial refund. today 12 th august 2021. till now i havent got refund. i call to opodo team nearly more than 50 times. noting to show about cancellation details in opodo website. when i call today they told takes another 6 months. its a f--king reason they are giving. please please please dont book on this website and loose your money.

If you’re trying to get a refund

If you’re trying to get a refund:

1) Opodo customer service will gaslight you, hoping you will give up and stop requesting your refund.

2) If calling the customer service team, they will end the call if you ask any serious questions or attempt to question their poor excuses.

3) They do not reply to emails.

4) When the company says refund will be with you in 10 days, DO BOT BELIEVE IT. Ask for a confirmation email, I have been waiting more than 1 year, and others more than 2.

5) DO NOT STOP THE PRESSURE. Use Twitter, email the execs of both Edreams Sl and opodo, and bash them via linkedin.

This company’s values and standards are disgusting and they should be ashamed that they’ve stolen millions of pounds from innocent people.

Bad service upon refund

I booked my flight through opodo from Erbil in Iraq to Calgary in Canada last September with 2 full insurances to ensure full refund, upon cancellation my trip from September 2020 to April 2021 they didn't refund my money. Advice to any one do not book your flight with agent because they offer you a better price, instead book with flight company directly, this was true with me since I booked a flight with Turkish airline and they did a refund upon cancellation within 5 days.

Opodo are thieves thy will take your money the airline will cancel your flights , they don’t refund, please don’t use them. Opodo/Edream are thieves RUN FROM THEM

Opodo/Edream are thieves they will take your money the airline will cancel your flight and they will not refund you please don't use them, then the airline will be willing to refund but Opodo/Edream will never refund you. Don't use them!!!!

Used opodo before, never had any problems, but something happened to them!!! Contacted customer service few times over the phone, live chat, never got back to me with response to my request for refund. Can't believe they went so low with customer service!!! Never again use them!

Worst company I've ever had the…

Worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Trip to Italy on 27th August. BA cancelled flight but Opodo never informed us. They even confirmed checking in details for original flight even though replacement flight had been organised. Luckily daughter had contacted BA direct so got the earlier flight. When I complained to Opodo they gave me wrong email address and refused to give persons name when I asked.
Specific details: BA582 1805hrs 27/08/20 cancelled re-scheduled for
14:55 hrs 27/08/20 With no notification.

SCAMMERS

The worst customer service ever! Complete scam!!
I booked my ticket from Dubai to Toronto on Emirates airlines through a website called Opodo. Due to the changes in regulations about residents coming back to UAE, I had to cancel my booking. I called Emirates airlines to cancel and the agent who answered said that the ticket is booked through an agency and I have to contact them for any modifications. I contacted the agency and requested a cancelation, received an email that my request has been initiated and prioritized. I called the Emirates airlines to make sure that they have received a cancelation request, but the agent who answered said that my ticked in locked since it is booked from an agency and if they said that it is canceled then I should be fine. I tried to call the agency in the UK again to make sure everything has been processed and what are my options for a refund. Couldn't get a hold of anyone. On my departure day, I called Emirates airlines again to check if the flight is canceled. The agent said that they didn't receive any cancellation requests from the agency but she will cancel it so I won't be charged the no-show fees but regarding refunds I have to contact the agency since Emirates doesn't interfere with that. I called the agency in the UK again and the agent on the phone said that I will get a refund of 4030 AED while I paid 6114 AED. She couldn't explain the breakdown of the charges and told me that it is a mix of cancelation fees and no-show fees. I told her that the flight is at 9 on July 3rd and I requested a cancelation on July 1st and then I called the airlines at 6:43 on July 3rd. She said she will contact Emirates and get back to me. I called Emirates again, asked to speak to a manager and the agent won't transfer my call to any of the managers there. I explained to her what happened and she said there is no no-show fees and I should ask the agency to contact Emirates. I called the Opodo agent while the Emirates agent is on the call and asked about the refund. The Emirates agent said that there is no a no-show fee. The Opodo agent said that the woman before who answered the call was confused but now my refund will be 4500 AED. I asked him if he gives me a breakdown of what he is charging me, he said 700AED cancelation fees, 670AED non-refundable taxes and 200 service fees. The agent from Emirates online was on the phone and I asked her if this is how they make their calculations, she said we don't interfere with refunds. I asked the Opodo agent to proceed with the refund and send me a breakdown of the charges since I am taking this further. Emirates airlines didn't take any ownership for me as a passenger, they basically pass people on for some agencies to rip them off. There is no such a thing of service charge as there are cancelation fees, the non-refundable taxes are only 120AED not 670AED.

Never buy a ticket from OPODO

This is the second bad review for Opodo! I am sure I never buy a ticket from them ever again.

I have bought a ticket before the Corona and things got very bad, all the borders have closed. However as every wise person do(and pregnant - risk group person), I played my part and called Opodo(never turned back or never talked with anyone in person from the customer service number they provided), email them (I have their social media email account from the last time because they changed my ticket without calling me) and changed the status from app my booking online. Guess what? They didn't take any action on the booking. Since April 2nd they are just emailing about the status never change.

And now by chance, i have logged in my account and saw that the flight has cancelled. No surprise. But Opodo didn't email me anything about these changes and also still no information about the ticket i bought for a refund.

I emailed them (26/03/2020) that i am pregnant and there is no way for me to take any risk of travelling.

I have called the airline the same day and right now and they can't help me with any activity on my ticket.

Called Opodo and their customer service number is not working any more. There is no online chat and there is no information on their web site and application.

I want my money back since the day lockdown. There is flight which is cancelled one way how come you didn't refund the two-way ticket back to me. As i tried too many times to contact you! I am giving all the information below. Refund this to me asap.

please don’t use! Keep your money and no holiday

2 weeks after our holiday was suppose to be and after several calls to Opodo still no confirmation of a refund! They just tell you someone will call you back. This never happens. In the mean time they are sat with thousands of pounds of our money. I understand a lot of people will be ringing, however don’t promise a call back if not going to get one. Other travel agents have issued refunds in a much quicker time. Will never use again as customer service is terrible. Be warned if book with Opodo
