My experience was not good, they take your money down just to give you information you already know, and then want to charge astronomical fees that don’t go towards what you owe! I want my money back!

It started out well
It started out well, until we got to the resolution part, then the communication, and it didn't seem like anything was happening. I just ended up paying what they said I owed. After I had paid, the "team" called to get me to sign a payment plan, which I informed them that I didn't owe taxes to the IRS. Which they said they would look into and get back. 2 months later, I get another call about needing more documents so that the "team" could work on the resolution. I informed them again that I didn't owe, and the "team" did a quick check, and then acted like they got that for me, but would monitor it for a bit to make sure that it stayed at no tax owed.

This company is the worst
This company is the worst. We paid them thousands of dollars to help resolve our tax debt and a year later they have done nothing. We were never contacted by our case manager even after requesting to speak to them on many occasions. We only heard from them when they were asking for money. We asked for a refund and they offered us a small fraction of what we paid them. Very disappointing!
Contacted them again after writing this review and the offer remains the same. We would not recommend doing business with them.

They did absolutely nothing for us. We paid a significant amount of money trusting that they would help resolve our situation, and instead, we were completely abandoned.
Our case manager, Marvin Doblón, left Optima in the middle of what was supposed to be a negotiation, and we were never informed. After that, we were assigned a new case manager with little to no experience, who clearly did not know how to handle our case and took no meaningful action.
In the end, the “negotiation” they completed was something anyone could have done directly with the IRS. There was no value, no strategy, and no real effort from their side.
This company is negligent, discriminatory, and does not care about its clients. They abandon cases and fail to deliver on their promises. Because of their inaction, we ended up with an IRS levy, causing serious financial damage and emotional stress to my family. Mr. Hwang is responsible for the way our case was handled and for the situation we are now in.
Do not trust this company. Avoid them at all costs.
