I connect with this service for the first time, so far it have been four (4) MONTHS. Every month my bills change and every month customers service SUCKS. Americans need better services for the money and OPTIMUM is not providing that.
This is the rudest company I have ever dealt with. I've been in business for 20 years and understand how to provide good customer service...they do NOT! I have worked to cancel my service 3 times now. They continue to say it will be cancelled and then don't cancel it and still send a bill. They tell me my money will be refunded and then they don't. And everytime I call to cancel, they try to sell me on staying with them. I have told them I would do without internet before I EVER deal with them again. After the experience I have had and the time I have wasted, how could they ever think I would like their service???

Intermittant service outages during the day for the past month, now peekskill NY area has optimum dead in the water. Their own outage site map lies. There is no time estimate of service restoration and the AI chatbot on the phone hung up on me when is uttered the word "refund" prorated for service downtime. This service is terrible, and FIOS is available in my town. Probably I should switch as this does not seem to be getting better and nobody cares at that company.

Customer service is the worst!!! Bill went up $40 and when I called, they adjusted some things and told me that my service would not change. I don’t have the same package that I have from what I was told & called Customer Service today. Bill is over $200 for 2 TVs. I will be canceling very shortly. You can’t get a manager or supervisor on the phone!!!!!

The internet/wifi has been have an outage in my area for the last two weeks . I call customers today to cancel and let me tell you It was the most frustrating 45 minute call ever . I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to get this horrible service !!! The should really drug test the operators who take calls because something is not right with them !

The internet service was awful, cutting out constantly during the day. Technicians were sent out and nothing ever improved. But I had no choice. Then Fios became available and I jumped at a chance to get away from this company. The cancellation process was so grueling, as they refused to cancel, no matter how much I insisted. They are hard offshore experts who will not let you cancel and then finally transfer you to another harder seller. The process of canceling took over 35 minutes on the phone, and I'm still not convinced they've done it. That experience made me so angry with this company that I would never refer them to anyone and never use again.

Power surge..fried modem. Technician Saber came to my home in 3 hours and remained for 2 hours to assure that everything was functioning okay. Saber was personable and professional. He is an asset to your company. My service has always been fast with no outages.

I signed up for a $30 dollar WiFi plan with you in March. Every single month I have been charged an additional $100 on top of that. I have spent countless hours on the phone over the last several months, bounced between the billing and retention departments. They confirm I am being over charged, but claim they do not refund money. I have asked to speak to supervisors and have been told that is not an option. I am owed over $600 dollars, which to me, is a significant amount of money. I am hoping this post reaches someone at your company who is willing to give me the money that you have wrongfully taken from me every month.

WI-FI EVER, it frequently cuts out, I can’t go 20 minutes without The Wi-Fi buffering, the customer service is terrible, they promised $50 dollars a month and I’m paying $109 , 0/10 , NEVER CHOOSE OPTIMUM CHEAPER ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER, This is A TERRIBLE COMPANY

Optimum, overall, has the worst customer service of any business that I have ever seen. First of all, chat is the only way to get hold of anyone unless they deem it necessary for you to speak to someone. Once I was referred to the Apple support! I note that many of them are now using a script so that at least they are kind. Just a word of warning - I would not sign up with Optimum if they were the last business on earth.

100% scam. I've been trying to cancel my contract for the last four months and they refuse to cancel it and just keep charging my account.

Very Monopolized business practices. When shutting off your service I called to shut it off on Aug 15th. My billing period was from Aug 11th to Sept 10th. They refused to credit me from Aug 16th to Sept 10th. Any honest company would follow through with billing practices to be fair. Therefore I had to pay the full bill of $100.00. I even filed a complaint through the better business bureau and I got a call that the bill states we have to pay if we disconnect between billing dates. I also read with the BBB that they were previously were Altice in Virginia and the Government to matters in their hands and they have to pay over 119 million back to previous customers. So this is how they are covering themselves by putting it on the bills that if cut off in between cycles you still have to pay the bill in full. Very unfair business practice and the customer service from the escalation team just repeat over and over again the billing practice. Then I was told not to pay from optimum rep not to pay till BBB has answered then I ended up with a late fee and they would not credit that back either because it was not a good enough reason. Poor Poor Customer Relations

Would strongly advise switching to optimum for any services, and definitely not the mobile phone. Phone, cable and internet services in general are poor and unreliable. Have experienced numerous outages. When you sign up there’s no full disclosure. We were offered a completely free phone without any obligation with the option to “easily” cancel with no penalty and no payoff “at anytime “. Which I just found out was not true! The customer service is horrible and they do their best to drive the customer to insanity by transferring them to multiple departments and asking them the same questions over and over again. Simply put, a torture! They do it in an attempt to get the customer to hang up or continue with their service. Canceling optimum services is essentially near impossible! Had to spend about 90 minutes today on the phone just to get a transfer pin to transfer my phone number! Bottom line, your best protection is not to sign up for any optimum services. There are many hidden costs and almost impossible to cancel! And all their services are poor compared to the competition.

I have been with this company before it was Optimum, it used to be called Suddenlink; before that it was called Cox Communications; before that it was referred to as Cox Cable. I have suffered through their bullshit for over 40 years with no other options available. The only consistent service provided is a MONTHLY rate increase. When you inquire as to why, the excuse given is a promotion has expired, new taxes, new service fees, rate changes, etc. Bundle & save, the only thing you will save on is postage stamps, but the cost will keep increasing. The company has absolutely nothing for customer loyalty, no frozen rate, no lower rate, nothing but AI service or tech support in a foreign country where Suzy or Mark's accent is so thick you can hardly understand them. Run from these people, run as far and as fast as possible.

Optimum altice does not provide good wifi connection or Internet connection I have had poor service for over one year now boxes change modem changing the streaming devices that I never asked for they charge $14.99 each I'm a disabled senior citizen on a fix income and the service is beyond poor when you contact BBB it's not BBB it's optimum altice pretending to be BBB and still no results this company needs to be dismantle they do not serve the general public with good service at all

The assisted living facility that my mom moved to last year used Optimum for their phone and cable service. Unfortunately, when my mom died this week and I cancelled the account with a credit balance, I was told they will not send a payment back. It “zeros” out when you cancel the account.
I have never dealt with a company that did not return a persons credit balance. DO NOT USE THEM.

After 9 years of watching our Optimum bill go up every single year, we finally tried to cancel. It took a grueling 45 minutes of being passed around to different reps trying to throw "better prices" at us. We were completely done. Optimum makes canceling intentionally difficult and time-consuming

Company refuses to disconnect the service on the date we requested and instead is charging us for a whole billing cycle. Customer service agent was aggressive in trying to make us transfer the service instead of cancelling, lied about competitors cancellation policies, and ultimately still refused to cancel our service on time.
Update: I emailed BrandReviews@optimum but it was a waste of time. The response was generic and unhelpful. My 1-star review is staying.

⭐️ 0/5 — Extremely Disappointed with Optimum Wi-Fi Service
My experience with Optimum Wi-Fi has been absolutely horrible. The service is unreliable, and I am constantly having problems with my Wi-Fi and having to call customer service to troubleshoot my equipment.
Every time I call, I feel like I get the runaround instead of a real solution. I have spent far too much time trying to resolve the same issues, and the problem continues.
I would not recommend Optimum Wi-Fi to anyone. For the price we pay, the service and customer support should be much better. Very disappointing experience
