NEVER GET OPTIMUM IF YOU HAVE OTHER CHOICES
Optimum Online takes advantage of being the only provider in certain regions, leading to regular blackouts, horrible customer service, and billing/ fine print that is not what was originally agreed to. I have been on the phone with Optimum today twice after failing to receive a callback last week to resolve my billing dispute. Optimum caused me to overdraft by auto-debiting me for an item that is currently under dispute, and without my direct permission to do so. Three hours later, the issue is still not resolved and the agents keep dropping the call with no attempt to call me back. If Optimum didn't run a monopoly, they would simply not be in business. Other reviews would prove this to be true. Optimum should not have to depend on having no competitors in order to do business.
