Many thanks for the great courses, they helped me prepare and pass levels 2 and 3 in December and June. I appreciate the amazing work, the way you explain complicated topics in an easy way, and the examples you provide from Optuma software that make the concepts more relatable and easier to view visualize and grasp.

To anyone who is preparing for the CMT exams, these prep courses are the best.

I recently got a new computer and wasn’t confident in finding and setting up the files and tools myself, so I asked Darren for remote assistance. He responded immediately and, in no time, had everything sorted out—my files and tools were perfectly organized and placed in the correct folders. Optuma was extremely helpful for my Level 2 prep. My exam is in a couple weeks and I feel really confident that I have a strong handle on the material. Matthew's notes and videos explaining each topic made it much easier to absorb the content vs. just trying to get through the text. I look forward to using their prep services again for Level 3!

The course is exceptionally well-structured, with content broken down into easily understandable segments. Both the video lessons and the notes are concise and clear. The support team was always available to assist with additional questions and provide support. The mock tests for each level were also extremely beneficial before the actual exam. This is truly one of the best courses.

Optuma's CMT prep courses were invaluable. Mathew's clear and detailed explanations transformed the textbook material across all three levels into easy-to-grasp concepts. His real-world examples, insightful recommendations for additional learning resources, as well as exam tips were of great help. I highly recommend these courses to anyone pursuing the CMT designation.

I used the Optuma course for my CMT Level 3 Prep and was immediately impressed by the clear quality of the videos and slides. The course broke down complex concepts into simple, understandable pieces, making it easier to grasp the material. The visual aids played a crucial role, not just as extras but as key components of the learning process.

To prepare thoroughly, I combined Optuma's materials with Wiley Prep. This combination was very effective. Both platforms complemented each other well, providing a complete overview of the curriculum. This approach helped me understand the material from different viewpoints, which boosted my confidence for the exam.

However, there's one improvement I think could make Optuma even better: adding section-by-section quizzes. As I went through the course, I missed having the chance to test my understanding right after learning something new. Immediate quizzes would have been a great way to reinforce what I'd learned and identify areas where I needed more work. Adding this feature would make Optuma more than just a source of information; it would turn it into an interactive learning experience.

Optuma was a great guide and partner throughout my CMT experience! I had some difficulty in the past with other test prep providers and mock exams but Optuma was the most comprehensive!

I particularly appreciate the ability to access the courwe until you pass, the video modules, and the mock exams! The mock exams in CMT Level 3 helped me with time management, confidence, and overall familiarity with the approach and line of questioning. I highly recommend it to test takers!

It is quite telling that Optuma reply immediately to a negative review posted in public but not to an email sent to their CEO. They still have not replied to my email sent to their CEO as of today. Apparently they are 'investigating' as of one week ago. They are not interested in their software crashing it seems. Caveat emptor.

It is further illuminating that they clearly think using their support ticket service 35 times is too much (otherwise they would not refer to it in the manner they do in this public forum). Ironically, I am publishing the fact that they have 'zero costumer service' and their reply is to criticize my use of their meagre customer service function in public (whilst ignoring their customer in private). My point is made out sadly.

So I cannot use this software and Optuma will do nothing about it. This constitutes several thousands dollars wasted (and much time). I asked for their registered address to instruct lawyers locally but have been ignored.

Data - whilst writing, their advert on Trust Pilot claims they provide data. This is misleading. They do not. In fact, they now suggest using Axitrader (admitting the data is incomplete) or Oanda (admitting only marginally better but not complete either) or opening an account with a broker they refer to. How can a serious trader use incomplete data? They used to have a professional data provider which linked to their platform with no problems but severed their relationship with no notice (IQ Feed). It seems fair to say:
a. they appear to be having problems with their data links (this includes IBKR)
b. they offer one alternative but you need to open an account
c. their attitude is wholly unprofessional.

Their summary of my email complaint to them is also misleading. My complaint also covered a failure to explain why IBKR data did not show up on multiple other installations of Optuma.

When management ignore customers unable to use their products (having already paid), sever commercial relationships at short notice and defend client criticism in public without replying in private, a company has serious problems.

Answer my question and was super quick

Optuma is a fantastic data visualisation platform, with an incredible amount of functionality. It is an essential element to my process when tackling the complex world of financial markets.

The support team do a tremendous job of helping those who are looking to best leverage the technology Optuma has to provide.

Mathew, through optuma made my CMT program journey a very successful one. The material is very well structured, presented in a timely manner and made it easier for me to process all the information needed for the exams, along with the ebook. Mathew’s way of explaining and delivering the message is top notch. I highly recommend Optuma to anyone who is going through the CMT program.

I'm a Financial Advisor that manages money for individuals in addition to small business & corporate retirement plans. I came across Optuma during my studies for the CMT and decided to pull the trigger and purchase the software once I completed Level III. I am blown away by the functionality of the software. I can honestly say that Optuma software has made my job easier and more efficient. I am about a year into having Optuma, and I am still only scratching the surface on what is available within the program. I think that is one of the greatest things about the Optuma software; the possibilities seem endless, so as much as you want to push yourself in regards to learning and research, Optuma is there to support you from a software aspect.

Excellent product but occasionally price marketing leaves me wondering.

Top of class investment software for professionals and novice investors alike! Optuma forms the core of all my investment decision making. Easy integration with excel, and a variety of file types make watchlist screening/analysis a cinch.

When you add in trustworthy, timely support - it's tough to want to remember what days were like before I've been using Optuma. Been an Optuma user for almost five years!

Firstly, I find this software to be really superb from a Gann Trader perspective. I cannot comment on any of the other Technical Indicators, commonly used by Institutional Investors, because I do not use them.
If I have a criticism, it would be that there is an overweighting on Price Analysis Tools and an underweighting on Time Analysis Tools, particularly on dealing with midpoints in time and time/price forecasting techniques involving Eclipses.
There also needs to be an ability to fully customise Seasonal Dates according to specific Markets rather than using Time by Solar Degrees as a surrogate.
Lastly, and very importantly, I have found instances where Optuma's data source is either incomplete or inaccurate. If the First Trade or Listing Date is inaccurate, as well as the dates and prices of Stock/Commodity/Currency all time High and Low, then one is almost working blind. Good analysis and forecasts can only be made using accurate Data.

Optima is a fantastic tool to analyze data on a daily basis. The ability to search different criteria is really useful (real time would be even better) and the number of tools is really broad.
I have been using it for over 10 years and most has been self taught so it is easy to use.

Optuma is such an important tool for my trading. It is a robust and well designed platform and upgradeable as my skills in trading grow.
