They remember the contract, but forget the customer

After many years as an Orange Romania business customer, this has been the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a service provider.

Our company always paid every invoice on time and fulfilled every contractual obligation. We purchased a MacBook through Orange and paid for it in full over the agreed contract period.

As the contract was coming to an end, I contacted our account manager several times, starting in February, to make sure everything would be closed correctly. He knew we wanted to terminate the services related to that contract.

On May 12, he sent us the termination form via WhatsApp. At no point were we informed that the form had to be returned by a specific deadline or that missing that deadline would result in being charged for an additional month. We completed and returned the form on May 29.

Later, we received another invoice for approximately RON 1,500. When I submitted a formal complaint, the only response I received was that the request should have been submitted 30 days in advance, according to the contract.

What disappointed me the most was not only the invoice, but the complete lack of interest in the actual circumstances. No one acknowledged that we had contacted our account manager months earlier. No one addressed why we had never been informed about this deadline. Instead, I received standard replies quoting contractual clauses without answering my actual questions.

I spent two stressful days exchanging emails and trying to resolve this issue, only to feel that, regardless of how long you have been a customer or how faithfully you have paid your bills, it simply does not matter.

This experience has convinced me to terminate all remaining Orange Romania services as soon as our contractual obligations allow it.

A company should not focus only on selling products and services. It should also value long-term customers when they genuinely need support.

No Internet, No Timeline, No Accountability

I have been without fixed internet service since Thursday evening. The issue was reported immediately through the Orange application and was subsequently followed up with multiple calls to technical support.

At the time of writing, four days have passed without service - with the fifth approaching. Despite repeated contacts, no intervention team has been assigned and no estimated resolution time has been provided. During a phone call lasting more than 20 minutes, the only information I received was that the ticket was still waiting to be allocated.

What I find most abysmal is not only the outage itself, but the complete lack of communication and accountability. As a customer, I was effectively told to continue waiting without any clear timeline, while being reminded that certain delays are measured in “working days” rather than actual days spent without the service I am paying for.

Internet access is not a luxury service in 2026. Many people rely on it for work, communication and everyday tasks. Leaving customers without service for days while being unable to provide even a basic estimate for resolution is simply unacceptable.

The issue may eventually be fixed, but the support experience has already convinced me to look for another provider.

The worst customer experience ever

I go to the shop and the desk people ask me to call myself the company to sort out the issue.

I do and then I'm promised the issue is resolved. I come home and realised that the messages from orange contradict each other.

I try to call again but no help from the robot.

Please AVOID THIS COMPANY

The company blocks the SIM card…

The company blocks the SIM card immediately as soon as the tariff plan expires. This is an exploitative and disgusting way to treat customers. This company is absolute trash (bottom of the barrel). I do not recommend it to anyone

Very sneaky business practices. The person tells me a price in RON before I make a fiber optic subscription. The first invoice is higher due to Orange using an insanely inflated FX rate RON-EUR. On top of that the operator was always saying the prices excluding VAT. So there’s an extra 21% on top of any discussed rates. I am switching over to Digi despite losing fees on the set up of the router, just because I wont stand for snake oil salesman business tactics. Very sad

Stealing money legally

Orange has an extremely stupid payment policy. The amounts are displayed in EUR in a country where the national currency is RON and when you pay with a EUR card you are robbed at the conversions 2 times as it happens EUR -> RON -> EUR.

Conclusion: Orange Romania is stealing money legally from every person who has an Orange number.

Fiber and contract problems

Commiting fraud with the constructor to eliminate the concurrent companies and obliguing the new homeowners to contract with them (no other choices).

The fiber internet has a decent price, the speeds are decent. The problems come when the internet goes offline. They can't fix the problems fast, the customer service doesn't respond, the tehnicians are not comming, etc.

Ex. a downtime at them is minimum 2 hours with peaks of 8-9 hours. If you work in home office, you will miss meetings (or if you work in sales you will miss thousand euro opportunities) ). In online games it's not a very stable internet (it has speed, but the ping/stability is awful).

When contracting, they are moving fast, they come to scam you in a few hours up to a day....but if you have problems, good luck....you stay on the phone for hours, listening to the hold music untill somebody picks up and tells you that "they will fix it soon" (soon => when they are willing to)

You bastards

You bastards. When I requested the contract we supposedly have with you (I'm talking about a contract unilaterally modified by Orange with an 80-year-old person through a simple email sent as a notification) your response was another email from a debt collection company?
Is that your professionalism?

Orange Romania’s mobile data is frustrating

I’m extremely disappointed with Orange Romania’s mobile data service. Despite good signal strength on paper, the internet is slow, unstable, and frequently drops altogether. Streaming, navigation, or even basic browsing often fails.

What’s most frustrating is that this happens while paying high prices for what’s supposed to be a premium network. Customer support offers generic explanations but no real solutions.

Orange used to be reliable — now it’s overpriced and unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who depends on stable mobile internet.

Worst sales tactics ever

WORST SALES TACTICS EVER!
You spend your own time to go to an Orange shop to cancel a contract, they try to sell you a new one there, you refuse.
Then they say the request to cancel was sent, but you need to wait UP TO 11 DAYS, so that another person will call you eventually and try to convince you otherwise, while you try to beg her to cancel the damn contract already cuz you have better things to do than to talk to her in the phone.
And of course during all this time another invoice gets through your mail.

The termination of a deceased person is taxed

I bought a €20 roaming option that never worked. I spent over an hour speaking with three different agents who had no solution – instead, they managed to activate the same option three times (€60)

Even worse, after my mother passed away two months ago, I asked Orange several times to remove her from my contract. They demanded a “termination fee” that didn’t even exist in their system. I had to go to an Orange store and pay this fee blindly, and only afterwards did they “find” it in the account and finally process the removal.

This company exploits customers with abusive practices: hidden charges, endless bureaucracy, and zero accountability. Even in the case of death, you must pay just to remove a number from your own account.

Absolutely unacceptable. Stay away from Orange!
