Shop in store not online!

What a contrast to the appalling online service & customer service from the JD group! Trev & Clive in York city centre store could not have been more helpful today. They took time to talk us through multibuy deals & have offered to help with an e-voucher we're not sure how to redeem. It certainly restores faith in the physical stores as opposed to online retail. Thank you gents.

STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID!!!

I placed an order on the 19th May and was informed on their website to expect a 5 to 7 day delivery. On the 28th of May I received 1 item but delivery note stated whole order, even the box said 1 of 2. The delivery driver double checked his van and confirmed that he only had one box. After much chasing I received the rest of my order on the 6th of June but only received 1 of my 5 chairs I’d ordered. This time the delivery invoice listed 1 chair. I have emailed numerous times but no reply since 6th June. 25 emails later and still missing items. Almost a month later and I’m still waiting for £100 worth of products that I have already paid for!

Only received half my order....all the…

Only received half my order....all the camping gear, but no tent or chair.
Invoices for the lot. No email. No explanation.
No telephone service on customer service. Really annoyed. Terrible company. Have emailed and had only a generic response.
I will have to go to my bank. How are they allowed to trade like this?

Stay away!
Ordered a Garmin Fenix 5 Sapphire 3 weeks ago. Price was attractive and was the spec I wanted/needed. They shipped a more expensive Fenix 6. I did what felt like the right thing and returned the more expensive item to them. Following some very much auto generated correspondence they said they would ship the correct item to me. They didn't and now they are out of stock and offering a refund. I should have kept the Fenix 6 they sent in error. Absolute shambles. Can see why over 80% of people review this lot badly.

I received someone else’s order.

I ordered a portable camping toilet and received a cool box!! It’s over a week since I received the wrong product, and I’m still waiting on it being sorted. The order I received had someone else’s name and address inside so they Advised me someone from their Data Protection department will contact me to sort it out!! I would not recommend this company. Very disappointed.

If I could give 0 I would worst company…

If I could give 0 I would worst company the ever buy a product from. I ordered an expensive item on the 7/05 told it was dispatched on the 08/05 and to track it only to find Hermes have still not received the parcel today. They took the money out of my account on the 07/05 though. Customer care doesn’t exist bar an automated message. Absolute JOKE

I’m disappointed in you Millets

I’m disappointed in you Millets I ordered some hiking boots with my uni days discount.
I have had many emails to say on way after 10 days of waiting
got an email to say the order was cancelled !!!
Reordered again and used 10%code as I thought
They gave me to much discount
The same thing happened
If you don’t have the stock don’t sell
Simple !!!!

Placed order never arrived could of brought elsewhere but took a month for millets to finally tell me it was not in stock when I placed the order even though it was still available weeks after and then was out of stock on all other websites. Joke of a company will never use or recommend again

Garmin Fennix

Ordered A GARMIN watch 8 Days ago which was showing as in stock ! .Numerous text messages saying please be patience your order is working it’s way through our warehouse !!! Must be a bloody big warehouse still waiting. Total joke of a company plus customer service stinks !

I wish I had checked reviews first because I wouldn’t have bothered with this outlet.

Do not use Millets!

Do not use Millets!! Paid for a next day delivery. Had an automated email saying I'd be kept up to date on delivery progress. Nothing. Went on to the Millets Tracking and its showing order cancelled. No communication regarding this, no refund, no customer service in contact. They are still showing the items online as in stock but clearly don't have them.

No shipment for 18 days

I order a backpack on 31 December. İt has not shipped yet. Getting a support is not possible. 18 days and no shipment. Could you believe that? They just offer some deals but do not send them. Just steal your time.

Two instances of extremely poor rude…

Two instances of extremely poor rude customer service from store levels to head office. Head office after many emails still not responding.
Having been a very loyal customer of blacks and millets for many years. Spending thousands of pounds. I have no intention of darkening their door again. Standards have fallen to an all time low
Don't care about customer.

Terrible customer service they sent me a different hat to what was pictured on there website took a week to email me back by that time they'd changed the photos on there website to the new style hat and said it's always been that hat ridiculous

Customer care (ha ha) Customers! don't care!!!!!

I have now received my items however I can't believe it took 5 days to cancel one item and then another 7 Days to deliver the items you could fulfil.
Really disappointed with the service and will not be using Millets or Blacks again.

Disappointing experience but matter now resolved.

REVISON TO REVIEW:
Shortly after writing the review below I was contacted by Millets again and we agreed that they would supply me with a giftcard for the amount I paid for the table. Satisfied with solution but not the time and hassle it took to get to it. Would only buy from Millets on credit card in future to ensure I don't have to go through this again.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Disappointing experience.

Bought a camping table along with a load of other camping stuff from them 9 months ago.

After only 3 uses lasting no more than 7 days of camping in total the table developed a fault where the veneer on it starting bubbling and cracking.

Wrote to Millets to seek repair or replacement and after one ~month of to'ing and fro'ing they finally wrote back to say that the fault was due to accidental damage and no manufacturing fault could be found.

They could say how or what accident could have occurred to produce the damage on the table. I.e. they could not say how they came to determine that the damage as 'accidental'.

Now I'm having to take the table to another person to give their view that the table is inherently defective and then claim all the money inc. costs I've incurred back from Millets.

A lot of hassle for a table that's clearly faulty.

Bizarre - last year I spent over £1000 with Blacks/Millets/Outdoors group and they'd rather lose my custom forever over a ~£40 table.

Brasher Country Master walking boots. Avoid!

Avoid these Boots!
Bought Brasher Country Master walking boots.
They are dangerous. So inflexible they are not made for walking.
I had two ankle sprains (one very serious) in a month using these boots (first in over 20yrs).
I took them back and got a partial refund. The customer service was in the end helpful but the shop I arranged to take the boots back to pretended to have no knowledge of the matter despite my showing email evidence to the contrary.
The person then told me they would never recommend these boots for walking .. only for clmbing mountains!
They are called country master Not mountain master and are advertised on their website online as walking boots.
AVOID!!
Rubbish. Brasher supposed to be classic comfortable go anywhere walking boots. These are dangerous and rubbish
