They are very expensive, but it's very difficult to get them to come out, and when they do, they often refuse to report their findings and just send you a bill. When we replace our elevator, we'll look at all of the other companies.

OTIS customer care is not useful though they receive the call and confirm the technician will attend as soon as possible. Even after 3 days and multiple calls to the customer care, the complaint remains the same. AMC contract is a waste and the concerned executive also does not respond. Overall OTIS AMC and also the service is very very bad.
No proper response after calling so many times, people are getting injured as the sensor not working. Instead of solving my problem, company service people are asking me to stop the lifts.

NO ONE HAS COME TO CHECK THE LIFT , THERE IS INJURED PERSON IN THE HOUSE , WHO IS NOW NOT ABLE TO GO TO HOSPITAL FOR CHECK UP
BECAUSE OF POOR SERVICE PROVIDED BY OTIS OUR ELEVATOR IS NOT WORKING

Terrible customer service in the SF office. I’ve spent months trying to resolve a simple issue, but the service manager, who is no longer with the company, has ghosted, ignored, and misled me. The new account representative asked me for documentation that the technicians should possess. They don't seem capable of handling the situation. We have a service contract with them but will not renew it. Do better, Otis!

No proper fans and lights and very poor service

Triumph Tower, Mandlik nagar,Malad west, worst experience.. no air ventilation , suffocation, full time shaking, new lifts stops for no reason,
And the repair person come on their mood.

It doesn't even deserve one star.
It deserves negative marking. Worst is a small word.

I'm a contractor who hired Otis Elevator for 1 Elevator in our new apartment building in 2023. Today,4/17/2025 the Elevator installation is only 90% completed. Otis elevator has been very creative in extra work orders and listing almost everyday of the week as "Premium Time " which they want to charge $700.00 per man hour extra to do the job we contracted them to do.
Their "Field Superintendent " does not answer calls, their "Sales Manger" thinks of new ways to charge extras which (after 53 years as a contractor) one would think, hey! That's a part of the Contract. I've offered to get their crew,sit down catered breakfast with back rubs to get them out to do our elevator installation, agreed to 10's of thousands in extras already to do their job and now I'm begging for them to finish their job. But wait! They say they'll finish the job BUT it has to be finished on "Premium Time" @ $5000.00 per day plus $700.00 per man hour AND, if anything we're supposed to have done when then come out to finish, we need to pay them $3000 per day until we do that BUT,they won't tell us what we need to do UNLESS we pay the "Field Superintendent ", remember him?$5000.00 to visit the site and tell us what he wants done. The only problem with that,is the Field Superintendent will not coordinate with the project manager on when he'll show up AND he'll not make any attempt to meet with the project manager while he(supposedly) is onsite.
And to add icing on the cake, Otis wants the entire contract balance paid months before they even load the job with their equipment or begin any work at all.
My advice, stay TF away from this company.

Worst Service ever. They keep sending emails but never respond to them. This is the worst customer service team I have ever come across. No body knows what they are doing or responds toy our phone or email. The query keeps on going for months together.

This is the WORST experience with any elevator company I ever delt with. They are never on time. The elevators always break down and they charge way too much!

Absolutley shocking customer service
Service managers do not even reply to phone messages, service dept agents “ programmed” to lie and promises to call back which never happens
Stock answers “ I’ve left a message with engineer and he will get back “ of course this never happens
They charges are huge and within days we have to call again for the same fault
Deny that we have informed them of time windows deny we have given phone numbers
Dreadful and rude to boot

Never use them. They do not reply or communicate on time, they will not get your lift running in order and you still will end up paying high contract and maintenance price.

Our interaction with Otis Elevator Company has been excellent. Their crew of customer care representatives is highly competent and responsive, promptly attending to our demands. Our apartment building has excellent elevators that make it more accessible for all of the occupants. Otis has exceeded our expectations, and we heartily endorse them for any elevator construction.

Elevator system from Ot's Elevator Company are dependable and effective every time. Our office building has their elevators built, and so far there have been no problems with their seamless operation. Modern technology is used, and timely, expert maintenance is provided. We rely on Otis as a reliable and safe vertical transportation solution provider.

If you want your lift serviced, don't buy Otis. Regardless if you have a Contract with them or not, they do not respond to Service Requests. After many, many calls, and being promised someone will call back, we have given up hope and trust that nothing will happen to the lift.

Had a very Bad Experience with Otis Elevator. There parts are Very Very Expensive as compared to other companies. Their Staff or Technicians will keep on delaying your work for days to months...
Very slow Service.... If You have Patience for months together, then you can go with Otis.

If you ever want to modernize your elevators DO NOT opt for Otis. No other company wants to take over the contract due to the fact that they can't get the proper supplies from Otis and Otis DOES NOT respond to service requests any more. Several years ago they were a good company but have fallen apart over the past 2 years and have the very worst service I have seen in my many years of dealing with vendors!

I can only repeat our experience with previous one star reviews. Otis were supposed to install 2 new lifts in our apartment block. The time given was 6 weeks for each lift. The first one took 8 weeks. The second one is still not finished . Otis employs subcontractors who, in our case were unable to speak English or Dutch and clearly had no idea about installing the lifts. They were not managed by anyone from Otis. Elements were wrongly ordered, causing a 2 week delay on starting the second lift. No work was done and very little in the last 4 weeks . The new date for completion was yesterday but it failed the completion test. Otis clearly don’t care. We are left on hold while the subcontractors find a solution. The seems to be no end to their incompetence. Based on this experience Iwould never recommend this company to anybody

Well everything that everyone said in the 213 previous 1 star reviews is absolutely true.
Irresponsible, lie all the time, have more stories than Disney, over charge, continuously do not show up to appointments, waited 5 hours one day after three calls with supervisor saying they were on their way.
Wonder how a company with such bad a record survives?
We own 19 apartment buildings each with multiple lifts, Otis will never set foot in them!!!

What a bunch of Amateurs !

45 years in the industry, I've never come across anyone even remotely as BAD

They could stop committing fraud for one thing. They never showed up to service our elevator. Charged us for service calls that were never made. Our log in book they are supposed to fill out has not been touched in 2 years. I have never seen them in several years. They owe us money and will not return calls. They are a fraudulent, scam company. Do not use them. Date of experience - Never saw you in 4 years.
