Left after 2 hours didn’t pack over 1/3 of my house got there at 4 pm and wanted to go home at 6 pm

Pack and Load out of Florida is one of the worst moving companies I have used. I requested three workers so it could be completed within the allotted time. However, these guys were slow and lazy and were caught just standing out by the truck. Initially, they were moving alone. I requested an extra hour they added two. Because the workers lied and said the elevators were being used by workers on the same floor. Which was a lie. Those guys parked in the garage and brought all their equipment in to change the next-door apartment floors from carpet to laminate wood tile, as they always do. In addition, they did not know how to take apart a table, a badly damaged one, and did not put the screw to the table in the bag with the other screws. When I filed a claim, the reason they did not pay was that I did not use them to unload, and why would I do that with the lazy crew they sent out? BE AWARE, NO MATTER HOW MUCH DAMAGE YOU RECEIVED FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL ONLY PAY OUT $250, WHICH IS A SCAM AGAINST THE CLIENT.

Liars and cheats! We ordered and paid for a three man crew to load a PODS container. All boxes were self packed. Two men showed up in a compact car with no packing materials. We were charged for over $1500 of boxes and packing materials which were not used or even available. Calls to the company were not returned and we were effectively stone walled.

This is the most unprofessional, unethical and shady company I have had the misfortune to deal with in my entire 75 years of life. I hired them to load a series of two PODs because they were recommended on the PODs website as "the most experienced". The "professional movers" they sent to my home REEKED of marijuana! (I don't mind if people use marijuana during their free time, but NOT when I am paying them to use good judgement with regard to packing my belongings.) They did not perform any of the work as described on their website. They didn't bring a dolly, they didn't bring tools to disassemble the furniture, and they didn't protect my furniture as promised even though I was charged for mattress covers and pads to cover my furniture. They removed a set of ivory linen drapes from a plastic bag and threw them over my chairs and sofa; meanwhile, the unused paper pads I was charged for were thrown on the floor of the POD unused. They picked up a rug that was in their way, and instead of placing it elsewhere on the floor, they threw it on my teak coffee table. I purchased $60 worth of ratchet straps to tie down my load, and they only used ONE of them! I was required to pay for a minimum of three hours for 2 movers to load my POD; in the end, I was charged $822 dollars for one hour and fifteen minutes of labor, and I could have gone out and found some random people on a street corner who would have done a better job. As soon as I could find another company to load the second POD (within 36 hours) I cancelled the second scheduled service with this company. They charged me $603 for the service that I cancelled. I disputed the bill online and got no response. instead of making things right by refunding my money, the "customer service" manager I spoke with offered me a $100 discount on unloading my POD. I informed her that the POD had already been unloaded and that I wouldn't allow anyone from this company to ever touch my belongings again. I have disputed the charges with my bank and am awaiting resolution. My advice is, if you don't want to pay $1425 for 75 minutes of shoddy work by a couple of yahoos, steer clear of Pack and Load Services!

They aren’t a moving company! They just find you movers and add their rates on top of that! Save yourself time, money and possible damage. Call moving companies directly and hire them directly. Will save you a lot of money and hassle in the long run.

They claim to be professional but I think they just drag people off the street to pack your possessions . They did a horrible job . Quite a few pieces of furniture were damaged. Don't bother to file a claim,they make you jump through hoops and give you nothing . Horrible experience-never again.

PODS has Pack & Load on their recommended list for packers and loaders, so I chose them – big mistake.
Miscalculated load size - Pack & Load grossly miscalculated the size of PODs needed, so I was forced to leave behind many treasured items (large silk palm trees, tool boxes, shelf unit), in spite of them reassuring me several times that everything would fit in my PODS.
Theft - During packing, a Pack & Load employee stole a locked metal box and a ring. Fortunately, the company did recover my ring and I appreciate their effort.
Damage - Pack & Load packed my TV in a TV box. It was so jammed into the POD that when unloaded, they had to twist the box to get the POD door opened which damaged my TV. Pack & Load packed a box with an arrow pointing up with large pictures. They delivered it upside down, with several pictures inside damaged or broken. Several of my wicker dining room chairs had scruffed spots because they were not protected enough.
Insurance Virtually Worthless - Reimbursement for damaged items is based on weight at 60 cent per pound – big mistake. They only allowed $25 for my damaged $515 TV based on weight. I guess I would have only gotten 60 cents for my $1000 ring if it had not been recovered!
Neither PODS nor Pack & Load responded to my complaint letter.

Recommended on PODS website as the approved loading service. Very unprofessional and overcharging. Sent two guys to load 16' container, took them 6 hours, promised flat rate but switched the service. Stay away from them

Avoid This Company – They Don’t Cover Damages
Do not use this company for your move. Their damage policy is virtually nonexistent:

They only cover up to $250 for the entire move and just $25 per item, even if they admit fault.
They won’t cover any damage to items they didn’t pack and unpack themselves—even if you’re moving into a pod.
This complete lack of accountability is unacceptable. Don’t risk your belongings or your peace of mind—choose a reputable moving company instead. Always ask about damage coverage and liability before booking!

Had the great misfortune to have Pack and Load as recommended by PODS. We paid almost $800 additional for piano moving, and they caused about $1,000 of damage to our piano. They also broke a 4 inch square chunk of wood off of our wood TV console, and scratched and dented our bedroom set and bedroom dresser. Thank God we didn't ship appliances or other furniture. PLEASE, DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL COMPANY!

We contracted with Pack & Load to load 2 16 foot PODS containers at the recommendation of PODS. Included in the process was an upright piano which caused the amount to increase significantly. When the crew came to load we emphasized the piano had to go as we could not handle it ourselves. At the end of the process we had no more room and the piano wasn't loaded. We acquired 2 U-Haul UBoxes and loaded the piano ourselves along with our remaining items. The crew worked at a slow pace which resulted in an additional 3 hours of time at $189.00 per hour ($567.00). I called Pack & Load to work out a solution but the rep was extremely rude and told me they weren't doing anything about it. We'll never use them again and will not use PODS either as they recommended them highly.

Pack and Load Services (P&L) is not a reputable company that stands by their advertised promises.
P & L packed/loaded our home into 5 PODS for storage, unloaded the 5 PODS after 9 mo. of storage. When the PODS were unloaded not only did we discover significant furniture damage but were missing high value items . The obvious conclusion – the 3 P & L movers did not load these items but removed these items from our home (theft!). When reported to P&L, I was directed to file a police report who reported that both P&L and their subcontracted company had no documentation of the 3 movers. Thus, the police were unable to investigate. P&L never acknowledged the theft after receipt of my claim, when contacted by the police or my conversation with the Claims Co. I received no reply to my email or phone calls requesting to discuss the claim settlement. The issues were: their limited liability policy (maximum $250 regardless of size of job, theft and mishandling of furniture); no documentation of the subcontracted movers; dismissing the theft (Is this a regular course of business for P & L?); and false advertising (they had no information regarding the subcontracted movers though they claim to use professionally trained movers). I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Florida. P & L’s response was disrespectful and dismissive. Do not use this company!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!
This place is a joke not only did they damage my furniture they had the nerve to charge me an additional fee for 2 more workers to come to my home to help unload that I didn't approve. And now I have been trying to get refunded and an additional $245.00 that they drafted from my credit card.
My advice is to make sure you have additional insurance on items that you care about and last but not least check other companies first and read the ratings!

On a recent move across country, we used Pack and Load moving services at both ends of the move. The movers were courteous, punctual, careful, and professional. The company did a good job of keeping us informed on arrival times. This was a very positive experience using Pack and Load.
