Terrible Attitude
Got such terrible attitude from the person I was talking to whilst trying to resolve a problem with my order not arriving. Waited all day for the delivery with Fedex which failed to materialise. I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable for being upset that I waited 9 hours for a delivery that never appeared. To make matters worse the "young lady" I was talking to was so abrasive when I was trying to explain to her that it looked like they had not passed on my full address to Fedex. Without warning I was suddenly speaking to a different person who told me off when I asked him "what happened to the woman I was just speaking to?" he was offended that I called her a woman and said the "young lady" had passed the phone to him. Absolutely ridiculous.
The second person was slightly more helpful than the "young lady" but even he was saying some crazy things to me like "we are not Amazon" and "you should have called us yesterday" while also saying "we have no control over Fedex."
I am also in ecommerce. If a customer has a problem with a delivery I take FULL responsibility for letting them down. And I will do everything to get a problem resolved, no matter how small the order.
Word of advice to Paint & Paper: get the "young lady" to do another job at your business, she is really ill-equipped to be speaking to customers, has a terrible aggressive manner when speaking on the phone, and is too easily annoyed by simple problems that are presented to her.
I will always support independent business over the large retailers. Because usually a small independent will give you exemplary customer service as they have to protect their businesses against the big guys. But to make a customer feel like it's their fault for waiting around all day for an order that never arrives is really NOT the way to go.

Good when your buying, poor otherwise in my experience
I ordered paint from this company on 13.09.23 the service was excellent, with swift delivery and the paint was packaged very well. I had unfortunately bought the wrong finish and so had to return the paint. I kept having to chase/remind them that I was waiting for a returns label and then waited a month for a refund! My emails enquiring about my refund went unanswered. In the meantime I had ordered the correct pain, which also arrived swiftly.
All in all, good service when your buying, but poor with regards to everything else....

After trolling through the web I found this company, I checked the reviews which were very positive so I ordered it.The paint arrived very quickly it was really well packed. Excellent service. Will definitely use again and the bonus was it was cheaper than the chain stores 👍

Outstanding service from paint and paper, the courier failed to deliver to the correct address and paint and paper posted out replacements understanding the urgency of having the paint ready for the decorator! We later found the address the order was delivered to and managed to get the original order returned! Karl from the company was very understanding and assisted me throughout the issue!
Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company to friends and family.

The price was really competitive and I'm thankful I came across them as I do prefer to support smaller businesses instead of big chains like B&Q etc.

Prompt delivery, good customer service. My initial online inquiry was dealt with promptly. Paint delivered only a few days later. As a first time customer I received a nice discount. Would recommend the retailer.

I put my first order to Paint Paper from Belgium for paint I had already bought in Holland. Much cheaper at Paint Paper. Great communication by chat, by e-mail: very fast contact, fulfilling answers to questions. It was the first time I ordered something in the UK - although I often order on the internet - and honestly I have never before received a parcel (paint) that was packed in such a splendid way. The risk of a damaged parcel during a trip to Belgium was as good as nihil. Unfortunately once delivered in a DPD-depot in Belgium, it was not a nightmare, but almost a bad dream, due to the DPD-Belgium. After one day delay - with no explanation - the parcel would be delivered the next day, between 14u15 and 15u15. We were at home all day. When I checked my mailbox at the streetside at 15u15 I discovered a card. Not a New Year's postcard, but a DPD-card: 'Unfortunately we missed you ...' My parcel was going to be dropped 'somewhere' and 'sometime'. The address was not completed (no name of village) and I couldn't read the streetname. No time indication - date and time - when it would be there. I wrote an e-email and got an answer - yes, indeed - my parcel had been delivered in a warehouse in the neighbourhood still the same day. No further explanation. In order to send a 'thank you DPD' I sent an e-mail with subject 'complaint' and the reaction was: We have answered your question and 'case' closed. Conclusion: DPD-drivers try - have - to be in time because DPD gives an indication delivery time of one hour. So, if the DPD-driver puts an absent card in your letterbox, he gains a lot of time because he can drop the not delivered parcels in a pick-up point in 5 minutes time. As my home is not at the street side, and as the parcel weight was about 6-7 kilo, the decision was quickly made. I'm glad Paint Paper takes this very seriously. I'm aware you can have problems with all couriers, but in Belgium DPD is in my opinion the worst if you read reviews on all couriers active in Flanders.

We were very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the company. We put in two separate orders on the same day, due to a misunderstanding with our decorator. We received prompt advice via live chat, and were then amazed to take delivery of both orders together, the following morning. With a discount as well, what's not to like?!
