I experienced a wonderful welcome when I stopped in person to meet the staff of Palmetto Publishing last December. I signed my contract that day and have never regretted that decision. I was led through each phase of getting my first children’s book published with expert advice and attention to detail. Every email was answered promptly and the process moved along quickly. I highly recommend Palmetto Publishing. .

The staff was wonderful to work with. Thank you, Colby and Ryan, and all others at Palmetto They always responded in a timely manner and was willing to answer any of my questions or concerns. However, choosing illustrations was a little challenging, but it all worked out and the end result was very impressive. My overall experience with Palmetto was exciting as this is my first book. Thus far I am pleased with their services, and I look forward to working with them in the very near future with my second book endeavor.

The most personable, professional people you will ever work with. Sometimes, the process takes time. The people I dealt with know that and gently guide but not push and the efforts culminates in to a book. I am so very pleased. The whole team was great. Julia was very specific and detailed on every aspect of the book. One thing I noticed is that they want to make sure that everything is correct before publishing. Also, the editor was exceptional as she wrote her comments and suggestions down, which was very helpful and useful. This is my second time publishing a book through Palmetto. Both experiences have been great! I have nothing negative to say about this company. All of my experiences have been positive. The staff is excellent and so is the quality. The few times I have had something go wrong, Palmetto has been quick to fix the problem as soon as it is pointed out. Not only that, but they have gone above and beyond the initial fix and surprised me with their overall kindness. I have had the same project manager both times and she has been a joy to work with.

I've been on both sides of communications, supporting very well funded brands and also venturing out to publish my own works. Ethical, wellness-forward independent works are the beating heart of our nation, and Palmetto Publishing had treated relaunching of my first work with fairness, efficiency and ethics, so they were confidently engaged to relaunch my second work and acted as my creative team to design a platform for play therapy assets that will appear to be part of the same body of work despite not having the "business" for the whole platform.

I was delighted by their service as I considered every project milestone and evaluated how my Palmetto team handled the work and customer relationship, from project timeline to coverage during vacations to orders for printed works.

I had been deceived by bad actors (over play therapy assets of all things), so to have results like I am seeing is the kind of outcome that deserves to be written about and praised.

As an independent publisher, I understand that staff changes happen. My concern wasn't that my original representative, Natalie Ireland, was reassigned. It was how the transition was handled.
Natalie worked with me on my first two books and was familiar with my project, which was a three-book Christmas trilogy scheduled for release together. Midway through the production of the third book, I received an email informing me that I would be working with a new representative. There was no discussion, no opportunity to ask questions, and, more importantly, no apparent transition plan.
Unfortunately, it became clear that critical information had not been communicated between the two representatives, including the importance of the trilogy release schedule. Because of that, the third book experienced avoidable delays, revisions took longer than expected, and the project ultimately missed the timeline that had been carefully planned from the beginning.
I believe Palmetto has talented people, and I appreciate the work that ultimately went into producing the books. However, communication and continuity are essential, especially for authors managing multiple titles with coordinated release dates. A smoother handoff between project managers would have made a tremendous difference in my experience.
My hope is that Palmetto will strengthen its internal transition process so future authors don't experience the same frustration. Authors invest not only financially but emotionally in their books, and clear communication is just as important as the publishing process itself.

Working with the Palmetto project manager was a great experience. My book turned out exactly how I envisioned. Natalie and Cassie made the process easy and catered to even some of my frustrations. I'm now working with Palmetto on my next book and marketing my first book. I will always have Palmetto as my publishing company.

Working with Palmetto has made my first book experience a wonderful one. I was worried about many things but they helped guide me through the process. They were never "pushy" but worked at my pace. Every time I needed assistance they were always a phone call or email away and responded in a very timely manner!
