Would not recommend this watch

Would not recommend this watch for your loved ones. The battery takes 5 hours to charge and we are on our second watch as the the first one was faulty and wouldn't hold the charge at all. Unfortunately the replacement watch is going the same way, its not even 6 months since we got the first watch. Absolutely terrible watch. No peace of mind for my mum.

So far nothing has actually gone wrong…

So far nothing has actually gone wrong but I am very dissapointed that the PanPan watch is not waterproof and cannot be worn in the shower or in the bath.
I still have the watch but I am in the process of seeking one with similar features but that is waterproof.
The old Red Button alert could actually be worn in the shower but it only covers the home and around the garden for possible falls. It was actually very effective.
The Pan Pan does cover possible falls whilst out and about which is what I wanted. It is such a pity that it is NOT waterproof. So many falls occur either in the shower or in the bath.

It doesn't work well in area with poor 4G reception

I was so excited to get the Pan Pan watch but incredibly disappointed that it doesn't work well in my house and garden. It needs 4G coverage and I have good 5G and even 3G coverage but I only get one bar or no bars on this watch. As 5G watches don't seem to exist, it would be good to have a 3G version of this watch. This one is probably not workable in a rural or wooded area.

The PanPan watch has brought immense…

The PanPan watch has brought immense peace of mind for our family, knowing my Mum can quickly alert us in an emergency. As my Dad lives with Parkinson's Disease and Mum cares for him 24/7, we realised after her own collapse last year that we needed a reliable way to get help if she's incapacitated. Given Dad's limited mobility, dexterity and cognition, he can't call for help himself. With the PanPan watch, Mum can instantly alert us if she needs assistance with Dad, whether at home, out and about or if she requires help herself.

The PanPan watch allows Mum to quickly alert us in emergencies, giving us confidence that help can arrive promptly. This watch has been invaluable, allowing us to focus on supporting Dad while knowing Mum's safety is secured.

Amazing customer service from Pandu

It’s extremely sensitive, overly sensitive really. I have way more accidental activations than I would prefer. However, I’ve had two falls, and it’s detected them and started a fall alert immediately. Be much better if the sensitivity could be adjusted. EDIT. The manufacturer and monitoring company have changed the sensitivity from High to Medium. It’s much better now. Losing a star because it has a cracked screen already. Works fine now though. LAST EDIT. Pandu the manufacturer has unbelievable customer service. They called me and arranged a complete replacement watch due to the cracked screen. 5 star company service. I wish more companies were this consumer friendly.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your PanPan watch. We're glad the fall detection feature successfully identified your falls and initiated alerts as intended. However, we understand that the frequent accidental activations can be frustrating.

The good news is that PanPan's fall detection sensitivity can indeed be adjusted to better suit your needs. To assist you with this, could you please email us your PanPan IMEI number?

This ID number can be found next to the barcode on the box. If you don’t have the box handy, you can also find the IMEI by powering the watch off and connecting it to the charger. The screen should light up and display the IMEI number - if the screen goes to sleep mode before you write down the number, a quick press of the button should turn it back on.

Once you’ve noted the IMEI, please email it to info@panpan.watch and we’ll proceed to lower the fall detection sensitivity for you to test the lower setting.

Alternatively, you may also contact your telecare service provider, as they can also make this adjustment for you. Please let us know how you’d like to proceed, and we’ll be more than happy to assist you further.

Working well - needs booster in areas of low connectivity

Initially the app wasn’t working well due to the lack of Wi-Fi connectivity in the location where the watch is most used (at home). Pandu immediately, and proactively, acted on our issue, and resolved it with a Wi-Fi solution that they provided to us. It is now working well when the watch is located at home, but still has accuracy issues when it moves around, especially in rural areas where there is low connectivity. (Hasn’t been tested for fall sensitivity yet.)

Overall, the high quality of their customer service outweighed any initial issues, and I can recommend, with the one caveat on connectivity in certain locations.
