Was unknowingly redirected to their payment site from a e-charger site they took payment for what I thought was e-charger found out from email I had subscribed to a membership that I did not want there was nothing to show I was redirected or that I was agreeing to a membership. Had to get in touch with them to cancel membership and had to email to ask for refund for membership I unknowingly was transferred to. Still waiting to hear about refund not holding out much hope of getting it.

So Paperopen has once again flagged the review with Trustpilot. Perhaps someone from the Company could contact me and explain why as everything I have stated is true. HSBC fraud team are now involved. If Paperopen were so open why do they have no contact details. That I can reach them?

So as a further update now November 2025 Paperopen have now reported the review to Trustpilot to get it removed as offensive. Thankfully Trust Pilot have looked into this and said, no its a fair review.

As a follow up, after my review they have now offered to refund my monies if i take the review down. However the email is amateurish and has no contact details at all. Further perpetuating the scam theory. Also may explain why there rating is higher than it would otherwise be i guess.
Background for new readers - My details were obtained through a phishing email and they are basically scamming people into a subscription service. The original scam email purported to come from the AA - i have confirmed with the AA that they are aware its a scam effectively. Registered in Cyprus. If you have fallen for this then you need to cancel your credit card to stop subscriptions.

As a follow up to this HSBC are trying to recover the funds but as it goes to a Cypriate based off shore entity then unlikely it will be recovered. Also if you look at the positive reviews they have are generally like 4 words without any context (eg probably faked) whereas the negative ones detail the scam such as mine. Anyway Trustpilot are now threatening to remove my post unless I provide email and phone number to the scammers!. Ok so bring it on.

They are now using Admiral as the hook with the car care kit - i have emailed TrustPilot to say this Company needs to be Red Flagged

23 Feb 2026 - Paperopen have once again flagged the review to try and get it taken down. They dont even have a website that passess the usual Google/Edge security tests as it flags up as a security risk.

So Paperopen where are you goign next as you have repeatedly tried to take down my review. - why not just let me have the name and phone number
of your directors and we can have an offline discussion and we can iron out any misunderstandings!
