The reviews say it all, Any car park using this app must simply be using it as a way of generating revenue through fines. I would urge regulators to investigate this as the evidence seems overwhelming... See more
Appalling company who rip people off. The app wasn't working properly and despite evidence that my daughter had tried to pay (the app said she had), they took two lots of £60 off her in one week. The... See more

Worst company ever, ended up with it locking in a different car park which was 10 meters away from the one I was actually parked in. Paid for the time using the code, but because it was technically classed as a different car park under the same company I’ve been landed with half a dozen PCNs that they’re refusing to reduce or remove. Has cost me hundreds. Customer service number just disconnects. DO NOT USE
If I could give zero I would. Went to a car park in Preston for a walk around Avenham park… well we didn’t get out of the car park signage was poor on how to pay for parking when we found a newer sign we text then the location code but that was not recognised. Takes you to the app which you have to add in all your details since we didn’t have cards, just phones we could not complete. Rang the number numerous times but was cut off… maybe a Sunday morning thing. All this palaver for £1.40 really… we ended up leaving without stepping out of the car park and going elsewhere for a walk. How can they make it so hard to pay.
Worst parking company has a card machine payment but doesn't work the online payment doesn't work either so you had to go old school with coins and you don't get change back or extra time don't bother parking their.
Terrible service. Can’t purchase to keep the car in the car park, phone number on display doesn’t ring through. Service agent offered no support at all. Waste of time.
I made a purchase, then cancelled it due to poor reviews, from a different type of (beauty supplies) website supposed to be located in Florida. I immediately locked my debit card, but had to use it briefly yesterday. Now, there's a charge on my US GOVERNMENT bank card from Parkonomy Limited in the UK! Something illegal is going on. I've had to close my bank account and wait 10+ days for a new card to arrive. BEWARE! I've learned the hard way, to only use well known long standing online businesses. And, when in doubt, check the reviews before you buy!
One machine was broken but it didn’t state that it just kept refusing my card.
I tried the other machine which did work but when I checked my online banking payment had been taken twice.
The website is faceless and hard to navigate with poor customer service options. I took photos at the time as it seemed so dodgy and will contact my bank if they don’t respond.
I won’t be using this brand of parking again it took me over 15 minutes and a lot of stress to get parked!
Got scammed while trying to download the Parkonomy app. My card details were hijacked and I ended up being subscribed to a (probably non-existent) "entertainment" streaming app, which will now try to take £24.99 out of my account each month. Much better to carry cash/loose change as too dangerous to use app.
I have used other parking apps without issue, but see no reason why this company charges a booking fee and for sms reminders on top of the parking fee. A £1 parking charge using cash or card costs £1.40 using the website! WHY?
Feeling so angry and frustrated. Paid for my parking and the machine said ‘payment accepted’ and I took a picture as I always do. Got a £60 fine later and sent in the picture as proof as it hadn’t come out of my account (which I didn’t register at the time). Tried to appeal but they didn’t budge even though it was their error. Speaking to others I have heard similar stories. Terrible place anyway, so many potholes.
My daughter and her friend was attacked in the car park. How can you give the public fines if you have no CCTV working. I am sure you must have some kind of system in place for these kind of things I would be grateful to you to give me answer please
I use various carparks all the time. Normally it's via app and if there are issues they will fix the issue themselves or will guide you through any issue. This is a very scammy way of charging you for parking. Always people standing around scratching their head trying to work out how to pay. You should be able to quickly pay and get on with your buisness. I suspect it is designed to make money from people who say sod it and then get a fine. I have two unrecognised payments after I used the pay by phone service (app didn't work and pay machine out of order). Won't use again.
Said download the app. I did. Cannot add credit cards. Wasted 10 mins of my free parking messing around with this app.
Absolutly terrible site, rubbish in every way possible............people who run this need to sort the mess out.
Absolutely awful, no customer service available...tried to reset password to login 6 times, they send you a temporary passcode to your mobile which doesn't work and if you ask them to send the passcode to your email the emails don't come through, reading other reviews it seems parkonomy don't make it easy to pay either. Don't have the time for companies like this so I will never park in one of their spaces again
Parked here near Ipswich Marina. Machine has no facility for credit cards. Found cash but lost ten pounds for two cars in the only machine. Had to download app, install, register, pay while standing in rain and made late for appointment .
It’s all been said but these people need exposing and shutting down. Clearly make it as difficult as possible to pay than hit you with a fine - even though eventually I did manage to navigate the app and prove payment. It was like something a 10 year old had made. It’s a racket. No stars should be an option!
Never had a problem with Parkonomy. The app is easy to use. Convenient and relatively inexpensive to park.
*Update Jan 24*
After using the carpark for a good year or so, I forgot to pay one day via the app. I immediately contacted Parkonomy later that day via email as soon as I remembered - I apologised for my error and asked how I might pay for the ‘missed hours’. I didn’t get a reply until 4 weeks later when I was sent a penalty notice. I advised them I had emailed on the day of the error but this was deemed not to be grounds for appeal. I paid £60 to hear the end of it but was saddened, after all my business, that I would be treated like that.
Moral of the story…don’t forget to pay!
*Further update Jan 24
As stated, I did email the Parkonomy help desk as you suggest on the day of the error but didn’t hear back. I now know Parkonomy did respond with next steps but the reply had unfortunately gone to my junk email. Nonetheless, at the crux of this, I would have thought Parkonomy would have some sway with the PCN issuer (who also had Parkonomy headed at the top of their penalty letter) but sadly my regular custom was not conveyed to them and stood for nothing.

Reply from Parkonomy
Absolute Rip-off
Looking at the sign on site says way cheaper, however when going through online payment which only way it is tripling the price. This is what we call "rubbing during daylight"!!
No help via support.
No help on the day.
No signage on site where to park as it seemd like many companies operating 8n the same underground car park. So not one sign with their or the client name, all you get after payment is where not to park like reserved bays.
Complete waste of time and considered a con, not interested in answering support questions cant sign in to support its a denied area.
In the end we used the hotel spaces for no fee as we showed them the fee paid to this lot and they just apologised for the trouble. Thats care for your customer not like Parkonomy just told us to contact their client.
Another driver asked us as she was getting stressed out too.
Parkonomy was a waste of time and the money.
