I had an amazing experience with this provider while working toward my Functional Skills. They were incredibly helpful whenever I had questions, and the revision lessons on the portal are excellent—very easy to follow and thorough. Thanks to their support, I’ve now passed and have been accepted onto my Veterinary Nursing course! I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to progress in their career.

The format was good for my son’s learning. Small bite size chunks of info, with helpful revision and test learning. Great to have mocks and passed papers to help. Customer services have been brilliant. Easy pay instalments for the overall cost of the course and exam, which had definitely helped me to budget , and still provide my son with this opportunity to gain recognised qualifications.

I bought an English Functional Skills course and it was really helpful for my study.
The course has lots of useful videos and practice tests.
You can also see your progress, which gives you confidence.
With this course, I could understand how I was doing because it shows your results clearly and helps you practise the skills you need.

I have been talking to Jacob over the last few days and he has helped massively with what option is best for me. I feel confident to do my functional skills level 2 now and can contact if I need any help or questions.

I used Pass Functional Skills for my maths as I wanted to bump up my GCSE grade for an apprenticeship.

Positives:
-Thought the price I received was fair when comparing it to other companies. They were doing a deal where you get the course, exam, and a free resit for £376, which was reasonable considering other companies I looked at were charging over £500 for the course alone.

-The course portal itself I thought was excellent. The UI was easy to navigate. The course slides and explanation videos were easy to follow along and take in. The mock papers make for great practice and preparation for the real exam. Also, all the statistics are handy to let you know how you're progressing, and so you know when you're 'exam ready'.

Negatives:
-Unfortunately, there's a big negative. Pass Functional Skills uses TQUK as a recommended exam board, and I had an awful experience with them.

I took my exam with TQUK *twice* and both attempts were voided. The second time I was very scrupulous, and I made sure that the photo of my ID was clear, my headshot was clear, I did a clean room sweep, and I could see myself on camera throughout the exam. I made sure I was adhering to all their rules and regulations, etc.

They said the reason for the voided attempts was 'missing desktop images' which apparently means they received no footage of me taking the exam.

I don't see how this is possible as on my end everything was working fine. They use an automated invigilation system, and it's clearly flawed. If you look at their reviews online, there are many people who complain about having their exams unfairly voided.

So, unfortunately, this casts a negative shadow over Pass Functional Skills for me, as they're using TQUK as a trusted exam board, and they shouldn't be.

I did speak to them about this experience and how I was being severely mucked about by TQUK, and all they could suggest was to take the exam a third time with a different exam board (Open Awards) using a live invigilator via Zoom.

Thankfully, my experience with Open Awards was very smooth and pleasant, and the invigilator was a lovely guy.

Just wish I hadn't had to go through two pointless exam attempts with TQUK – complete waste of my time and effort! And I've had to deal with a lot in my personal life of late, so could have really done without all the messing about!

Fortunately, my efforts weren't in vain, and I passed the third attempt at the exam! (Reckon I passed the two voided attempts as well, so I certainly earnt my bloody certificate!) If only I had been put on to Open Awards from the off!

So, if you're considering using Pass Functional Skills to take your Functional Skills Level 2 maths exam, would I recommend them? Yes. But I would advise you when booking your exam to get on to Pass Functional Skills and tell them you want to take your exam with Open Awards with a live invigilator for a pain-free exam experience.

And to Pass Functional Skills, ditch TQUK for crying out loud!

The whole process with Pass Functional Skills was really quick and easy. I’m currently studying English GCSE at college and felt a lot of pressure to pass an exam so I could progress academically towards university. Completing my Level 2 Functional Skills took that pressure away completely.

It was very affordable, and I managed to pass everything within a month. The exams were user‑friendly and I had no issues at any point. I’d highly recommend Pass Functional Skills to anyone looking for a straightforward and stress‑free route to their qualification.

Helpful mock tests which are sure to support you on your way to pass the three components needed for English. Customer services were amazing when I needed support getting onto exams correctly. During the speaking and listening test the invigilator was fantastic at putting us all at ease and repeating over and over again what we needed to do and what was expected of us to pass. I’m so happy I did my English functional skills with pass functional skills thank you!

Highly recommended this course provider . As a mature person who hasn’t completed exams in over 20 years , I found course contents easy to follow and navigate. I revised for English level 2 course for 4 weeks and passed ! So happy

It took me 13 years to pass my maths and even though after multiple attempts throughout my teenage years into early adulthood I just couldn’t get that pass mark. This year I promised myself I would gain my maths qualification so I could go onto university and with an opening coming up soon I needed to pass it and get my certificate asap! Pass functional skills helped me do that and it was a very straight forward process, the customer care team are also amazing and right up to my exam they kept in contact making sure I had enough support and offered me further materials to help ensure I achieved a pass mark. The turnaround was extremely fast and from sitting my exam to getting results I had then within 2 working days and my certificate! I would highly recommend pass functional skills; thanks to you I can no go onto doing my dream job this year which is years in the making!

I Genuinely had the most fantastic experience of customer by the lovely Poppy. I was pretty anxious about finding the correct course provider for myself, as well as which was the best course for me. Poppy was kind, supportive, giving me clear advice, putting my interests first. She didn't pressurize me into anything. She had only my best interests at heart. She's a credit to company.

My exam went really smoothly with PASS Overall. Everything was well organised and stress-free. James i think it was who invigilated made the whole experience easy.

Very straightforward and user friendly interface. I booked my exam with TQUK and when I needed help on the day of exam, one simple call and the lady I spoke with was very quick to solve my issue. Wrote and passed my exam with no other issues.

I used Pass Functional Skills to book my Level 2 Maths exam after struggling with other providers. I did originally book to do the TQUK exam but I experienced technical difficulties on the night of my exam, the team were quick to fix this and booked me onto an Open Awards exam the next day. I used their YouTube videos and online tools to identify the areas I needed to work on, which made revision easier. I’m pleased to say I passed my exam first try with PASS. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to achieve their Functional Skills qualification, especially people like me who need them for University.
