Payescape are really helpful - the lovely lady who helps and guides me (Zara) is a dream to work with and nothing is ever too much trouble

Payescape provided a smooth and trouble-free payroll transition. Special shout out to Leanne who ensured our needs were understood and met in the new payroll system provision and Rebecca for the training and support during implementation. The system itself is very user friendly and has already proved to be a timesaver. Thank you!

PayEscape is essentially is a self-service, web-based software that is easy to use, and easy to pick up without having a vast amount of payroll knowledge.
It has a lot of automated elements, such as DPS tax code updates from HMRC, and recurring pay elements such as car allowances/ monthly bonus' etc., available to configure.
Personally, my favourite feature of the software is having the autonomy to upload the monthly pay template (if using) for any adjustments such as overtime, sick, lost time etc., and then having the ability to create a pay run and download the report pack for review. If I've missed anything it's very easy to delete the pay run, adjust the template, upload & re-run. Having that flexibility is invaluable to me, having had no formal payroll training. With other providers in the past, I've had to provide the template in a portal and wait for it to be processed by a clerk before the reports were provided. With this system, the payroll run & reports are ready in 60 seconds!
As with any piece of software, it has its little foibles and the odd bug, but there are regular software updates which see new features added and UI enhancements.

Further, the customer support provided by the client contact group is excellent. We have our own personal contact, Joel, who addresses all of our queries & questions, often replying within a few hours. We're not waiting for days, as per our previous provider.
There are plenty of 'How To' documents available within the software. However, when we have new requests, Joel doesn't just action the request, we'll often get a detailed email reply with an explanation of how to perform the alterations in future. It's almost like having a tutor at hand.

Overall, very happy with it.

Business still cannot be bothered to provide another way of MFA process. Cannot use app as phone not a smart phone. Business cannot be bothered it seems.

main diiference is they are always there - you email and they respond or pick up the phone and they can help you. Very patient and unlimited training provided.

We were running a small, time-limited project for just three months so PayEscape had to nurse us through the payroll process throughout our time with them. Our Implementation Account Manager, Pete Goodall, was very prompt and patient in dealing with my many queries. The software was very user-friendly and I felt quite confident in using it by the end of our three months. Their charges were very reasonable given the high level of support provided. I would recommend them especially to anyone without payroll experience who needs to set up PAYE quickly.

In the beginning, our journey with PayEscape had a few bumps in the road, but with time their efficiency and accuracy of their payroll processing became evident, saving us valuable time and resources.

Whenever we encountered challenges, needed to make last minute changes or had general inquiries, Elizabeth was there to provide timely assistance and guidance, consistently demonstrating her expertise and dedication to client satisfaction. 

I'm still learning the new system and struggle regularly during payroll. When I ring Payescape and am directed to Kerry I feel as if she is beside me in the room helping as she directs me around the pages. I never feel as if i'm a bother to Kerry she always has the answer.

My experience with Payescape had a rocky start due to a change in the assigned implementation personnel, which wasn't communicated to me. However, Sebastianne, who took over the implementation, was a delight to work with - professional and helpful throughout. Now that implementation is completed we have been passed over to Operations. While it's too early to fully assess the Operations team, they've been accommodating so far.

Unfortunately, Payescape lacks the comprehensive features of its competitors. For instance, the report suite isn't as robust, and obtaining a custom report came with a £500 cost, despite initial promises by the sales person that it would be free. Additionally, the absence of a self-service app feels outdated in today's tech-driven landscape.

Despite these drawbacks, Payescape gets the job done.

Payescape is an excellent company. I really like their platform, their UI and the layout. Everything seems logical. I was also very impressed that they don't email out payslips, since email is such an insecure protocol. Instead employees can log in to their secure portal and access and download their payslips from there.

But what makes Payescape really great is their people. They are polite, friendly, lovely people and are a pleasure to deal with.

My only slight gripe is their implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication for employees to access their payslips. I'm all for enhanced security but it needs to be balanced so that it does not become a barrier to entry. Technology should never be exclusionary and I hope that they can find a solution to this conundrum. Especially since people are at the heart of everything they do.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to outsource their Payroll. Special shout out to Elizabeth and Melissa for all their help!

Glenn is our client contact and I can honestly say he is extremely professional, very diligent and always has the answers to my many many questions . He is always very quick to respond to my queries, patient with fixing my mistakes and can’t do enough to be helpful. Nothing is a bother to him. He is definitely a great asset to your team. payescape has made our payroll processes quick and easy. Special thanks to Lorraine and the rest of the payroll team who can never seem to do enough, and always handle every request so easily even when they are complicated (or we've messed something up!). A really friendly and helpful bunch.
