This is a HORRIBLE Payroll/HR solution. Their systems are buggy and they never answer the phone. I have been on hold for hours every time I try to reach them. Their FSA interface is horrendous. Cl... See more

I would say Paylocity is okay
I would say Paylocity is okay. I dont like the customer service process, but Im sure they are trying to improve. At my current company we use it for payroll and onboarding, I wanted to see if they ATS was good, but def. not good enough.
Can't even get a simple
Can't even get a simple ? answer. What a joke. No custumer service...it's horrible..what do you have to do to talk to a human...sad
Poor all around
I am a small business owner and was switched from My Pay, who were poor, to Paylocity by my Accounting firm. The switch was made because so many of their clients were having problems with My Pay. Unfortunately Paylocity are as bad if not worse. Contact can be very difficult and rarely solves the issue in one go. Given payroll deadlines this causes all sorts of problems getting it submitted on time. At set up they tell you how much they will take care of you etc and then of course they all disappear and leave you in the hands of what I believe is a Fillipino customer service via e-mail. Set up was done by my CPA and Paylocity and all the problems seem to arise from there. I am going to be changing both my CPA and Payroll company as they both hide behind such statements as its not our responsibility yet they charge you $5000 for their expert advice.
Their word is meaningless!!
I am anything but impressed by them. My company switched to them about 6 weeks ago from ADP. We are a freight Brokerage with several subsidiary trucking companies. I am number one driver and helped CEO build trucking side. I spoke with him today about problems. I have 4 paper checks from them nobody outside Chase Bank will cash which screams a problem! On top majority of drivers and office personnel have still not received there current deposits as of Saturday the 14th. My recommendation to him.. "Switch back to ADP before lose so many employees for non payment of wages it bankrupts us!! They've already admitted its their fault and promised would be fixed today yet done nothing! Obviously nobody can or should run a business that way, their word is absolutely meaningless!!!
Can't access my account after being wrongfully terminated
I was wrongfully terminated from my company for trying to stop shady business practices. The company lied to the unemployment office so I could not receive unemployment. It is a very ugly situation. There is a government investigation into the matter, but the only way I can get my paystubs is the HR person from the company allows me access. I have to ask the very person who is guilty of the wrongful termination and making all the ugly lies and untrue accusations to have access to my financial information. Paylocity will not even talk to me, because I am not the employer. The phone tree hangs up on me and my email gets rejected because I am not the employer. It makes perfect sense that my previous scumbag company would choose a scumbag company like Paylocity that does not care about anything other than money. If you are an employer considering a payroll service and you care about your employees, be sure to ask about how the employee can access their information after leaving the company. ADP may cost more, but it is a much better service and company.
You guys suck
You guys suck. How come after I login I have to do my security questions. Makes nonsense if I logged in properly. Been kicked out of system multiple times bc of that. And I can't find no one in you company to assist or help. You guys suck and customer service is trash.
Had to reload the app to see hours…
Had to reload the app to see hours worked and the 3 "security questions" that came up are NOTHING even close to I would choose....
Or the answer I WOULD choose is wrong.
So thanks for keeping me out of my account....
Data security issues
We were just about to go through with the implementation/onboarding. Our rep asked for the financial reports needed to setup our account, or said I could give him my Admin login for our accounting software so he could do the "heavy lifting" for me. Red flag #1 - asking for our admin login where all private employee info is stored, along with our banking info, etc. I obviously opted to pull the reports myself.
One file they needed was a form with all employee "demographic data" including name, birthdate, SSN, tax withholdings, bank account and routing #s for direct deposit. The 2 sales reps I was emailing with said to send all of this, along with the reports to them and they would get to the implementation team. Why would sales reps need access to VERY sensitive employee information? Basically everything one would need to steal someone's identity? Red flag #2
I called and asked to speak with management. I asked the manager what their processes are for implementation, documents needed, etc. He walked me through their processes, confirming that everything the sales rep did was how they do things. Sometimes they go into companies' accounting software, and lots of people email this information. They DO have a "secure portal" where you can upload documents instead of emailing them. He said their email system is secure, so emailing should be fine unless there was an issue on our end, or if the internet had issues. I asked why we were not offered the secure portal. He said the sales team offers it to people they think might want it. I asked who would NOT want a secure portal for private information? He replied something like, "Oh you know, the mom and pop businesses." I said that I disagreed and believe that every customer, no matter their business size, would like their information to be protected and secure. Red flags all over the place.
We did not go through with switching to Paylocity, as we do not feel that our employee data would be secure or handled with care. Very alarming practices in place at Paylocity!
Our business has decided to discontinue…
Our business has decided to discontinue our service with Paylocity. We found them to be inefficient and lacking in accountability. Perhaps large corporations don't mind being a number and can afford monetary errors. We switched to a payroll company that is better suited to handle the needs of our business.
Company is the worst
Company is the worst! Run away! Majorly caused issues with me for the State we live in and would NOT take responsibility. They blamed me even though they have the fiduciary responsibility and they literally did not file withholding and unemployment accounts in my state, they only did it on the federal side. They then never filed taxes properly for a year, never took responsibility and then when I left, they charged me a cancellation fee of $200 even though I had in writing they wouldn't. They also never scheduled an exit meeting with me after I sent back the form to do that in my last 30 days. They are not honest and honestly you should run from this like the plague.
Run away!!
I couldn't even begin to find words to adequately describe how horrible this company is. The timeclock portion and the payroll portion are not the same platform and getting the hours over to the payroll system is a nightmare! I spend hours every payroll trying to figure out how to do it, reading the instructions and ultimately calling and having someone walk me through it. You have to create multiple batches and import them and nothing is user friendly or done in a language you could possibly figure it out or remember from the previous times. Expect to wait a long time for your call to be answered and hope you get someone who can help. I have NEVER spoken to my customer service rep, not even once. I always get a recording that she is not available and have to go into the que and wait for someone different. I'm fairly certain she doesn't exist. Emails usually arent answered until the next day and never have a name so you cant find that person again to follow up. Promises the salesman made were not kept. Wish i could give zero stars. WORST company I have ever worked with!
The WORST customer service.
After going through a horrible implementation, I was hopeful that things would get better. It has been over a year now and things are, unbelievably, worse. Even our assigned account manager takes no ownership of resolving issues or even returning emails or voicemails. In fact, I have never once spoken to her . . . rather one of her peers answers her overflow calls and emails. I have been requesting a meeting with her for 4 weeks now. I emailed her manager (and left a voicemail for him) with concerns and frustration almost two weeks ago and still have not had a return email or call from him. I am truly at a loss and, in 25 years of working in the field, have never been treated so poorly from a service provider.
Locked out just about every time I go…
Locked out just about every time I go to use it , it constantly changes passwords I update the passwords and it's a random chance game if the site will let me on or not . whoever runs the IT is a retar ded as s-clown I have been asking my company to please switch to any other pay site as this one is a total sh it show
Customer service is an absolute joke
Customer service is an absolute joke. I have reached out for many different issues and they either say they are working on it or just wont respond. I wish I would have never gone with the payroll side of this company. The HRIS is pretty good, but customer service with payroll is HORRIBLE.
Terrible
Terrible, terrible payroll and HRIS system. Our "account manager" is never available. I don't even know their name. I talk to a new person every time there is an issue, and it is frustrating. I feel like I was tricked during the sales call and implementation, and they were helpful until we actually started using the product. It is impossible to run any reports that are needed to close out our books at the end of each month. Our payroll system takes money out for payroll and then cannot give us detailed reports on how much each employee costed us. They also do not give us 941s or a 940. They were all condensed into our end of the year report and they could not give us these forms on their own. The most incompetent payroll system I have ever seen. Also not user friendly at all. My employees are always confused and the site is always down or having bugs. We implemented in July and are already looking for a new provider, 6 months later. We tried to stay and give them a chance but it is unreal the issues and limitations this platform has. Do not be fooled by the big name.
Absolutely Horrible
Absolutely Horrible.
NEVER put your most valuable assets (your employees) through this gauntlet of hell.
Step 1: Make all of your employees remember some random and ridiculous 6-8 digit code, just to login.
Step 2: Make a design that is so insanely difficult to maneuver, that everyone will fail and you will spend your HR life correcting everyone and training and re-training and re-training
Step 3: spend your days looking for something, anything else to replace it.
Impossible to even set up a new account because all passwords are rejected
As a new employee setting up an account, I tried for over an hour to come up with a password it would accept. It suggested strong passwords and then rejected them as having "special characters." I don't look forward to using this piece of garbage software to report my hours - if I can ever even set up my account.

They offer Demand pay and my company i work for allows it yet they won't update the system so we can utilize these features. I am requesting to my director we switch to a company that works in a more timely fashion.

I would give NEGATIVE stars if that was an option. If you want helpful customer service and payroll processing ease DO NOT outsource your payroll with Paylocity. Their “Account Managers” are incompetent customer services reps with minimal knowledge of payroll.

A user-friendly payroll system and effortless payroll processes are just some of the benefits
