PayPal is no longer just a money…

PayPal is no longer just a money transfer company — it is not a credit institution. Therefore, it has no legitimate right to demand personal information such as ID or documentation just for sending or receiving payments.

At this point, I hope more users will give PayPal the middle finger and move on to other services that don’t require or demand unnecessary personal documents.

For this reason, I no longer want anything to do with PayPal.

The service is slow, managed by wealthy fools who don’t understand the frustration of their users — yet profit greatly from this business.

PayPal.cn is even worse — the support staff do not have proper English pronunciation, and at times it’s nearly impossible to understand what they are saying or asking for.

I had a bad experience. It’s unacceptable that a company making millions doesn’t invest in properly trained staff. At the very least, they should outsource support to native English speakers.

Stay away from these SCAMMERS and their incompetent and useless customer service only speaking Fr and Ge if you live in Switzerland!

Stay away from them!!! Stay away from these scammers, they won’t last long with this low level of trustworthiness and a scam like service!!! I used to use their service long time ago and I had a good memory about their service but things have changed a lot since then! I recently opened a new account since I have recently moved to Switzerland and basically after linking my bank account I have sent money to my PayPal account of course following the instructions. The money never arrived on my PayPal account and after having the customer service telling me always different things and of course always to wait: 3-7-10 and so on days and to also contact my bank because they insist saying they put an hold on my transaction which would make me laugh if that wasn’t a clear scheme of a fraudulent behavior! Then they started saying my bank had put an hold on my transaction. Of course I talked with my bank (never ever had a problem with them!!) and of course they said no holds where in place and that the transaction was made correctly so they could not even make anything to reverse it since in order to put money on your PayPal account you basically make a money order (so it’s not like you do a transaction with your credit card and you can somehow dispute it. The bank released me the receipt of my transaction to see that it has been made and all the whatsoever details they were asking and guess what? Customer service told me that the transaction was never made and I had to talk again to the bank! So even with the receipt of the transaction they say the problem was with my bank and I could ask them to reverse the payment which of course the bank said it’s something they can not do with a money transfer!!! Then they said the one I used was not the correct Iban for Swiss accounts which is simply bxxxshx because I copied and pasted the Iban from their instructions so no mistake there! Plus they said to try again with another transfer to a different Iban!!! Like sending and losing your money was as easy as sending a like on Facebook!!! Eventually doing nothing at all to retrieve the transaction that was made to a PayPal bank account in Zurich!!!
Also, in person customer care only assist you in French and German, they probably don’t know that Switzerland has THREE OFFICIAL LANGUAGES including Italian and anyway there are a lot of immigrants here and when I asked them to having at least an English speaking freaking person assisting me they said of course the German speaking could assist me in English and calling them guess what? They gave me a number to call and I ended up having to pay for a useless phone call assistance in Ireland!!
I know this seams so ridiculous that you might be thinking that I was scammed online af course I have thought the same but NO, I WAS NOT! All these conversations are made using the phone app of PayPal and I am a security nerd.
They are just full of sxxt! Shame of them!

Purchase a EV car charger type 2 cable…

Purchase a EV car charger type 2 cable from and company called VEVOR used PayPal for the payment, cable arrived with a French plug at one end other end type 2 connector, this was not what we ordered, VEVOR with their terrible non responding customer service did not sort out the issue, we contacted Paypal to issue a case and they asked us to send back the cable but we had change the French plug to a UK plug and requested compensation for this because needed to use the cable while visiting the UK, that was the whole purpose of the purchase, after contacting Paypal several times they still have not sorted out what we are due in compensation and just decided to close the ticket, absolutely useless Paypal and VEVOR

former employee - never use paypal is dangerous!

Delete your PayPal account immediately! I worked for PayPal here in Dublin as an employee and I confirm that PayPal is not secure. They just steal customer's money or block accounts on purpose without any reason to steal your funds. They have stolen money from millions of customers and businesses. Some businesses faced liquidity problems and were at the edge of bankrupt because PayPal stole their hard-working funds

Unprofessioneller Umgang mit PayPal Account Sicherheit

I noticed that I received automatically continuously about every 20 sec a new authentication code (2FA). I became seriously concerned about my personal and financial data security. Hence, I called the paypal helpdesk. A friendly lady was trying to help. Her approach was to change the password what’s for sure a good thing to do from my perspective. It’s possible that somebody is trying to break into the account by using your eMail address but by changing the password and eMail the potential risk and code sending would be gone she mentioned. After the changes I informed her that I would still receive new codes as before and would not be comfortable with this situation. She would send a note to the tech team. This would have been o.k. to me but not the answer on my request to send me a positive confirmation once the issue has been fixed, including the info wtha was causing the issue. Due to whatever reason she didn’t want to do this. I was skeptical about the resolution because certain statements made by the HelpDesk employee were incorrect and I had noticed instabilities in the PayPal application over the past few days.
Well, in this case I would have to close my account was my response. O.K. was her answer. It didn't seem to matter to her. We ended the phone call, I deleted the account and hence the use of PayPal in the future. There are enough other payment options.

P.S. I only mentioned the security issue but not the others problems a ran into in the past days, including a very unfriendly help-desk employee who even wasn't knowledgable about the personel & financial download functionality and commented two times that such functionality would be absurd ... a function that PayPal offers in their application!

After 10 years of being a loyal…

After 10 years of being a loyal customer and promoter of Paypal as a webdesigner, having used it on over 100 websites and promoting Paypal to thousands of others... Paypal has decided to close my account without warning or logical reason. Please let me explain this ridiculousness.

1.\ I have been using Paypal for a very long time. Never have I ever violated their terms or done anything wrong. I have in fact promoted Paypal's use and have used it on over 100 websites.

2.\ My Account gets abruptly blocked without any logic or reasoning. Here is what happened:

3.\ As a webdesigner I build websites. I do not have any shops myself. I was building a website which wasnt even live yet... which contained over 1400 products! .. Out of the 1400 products .. 1 SINGLE PRODUCT.. Which is COMPLETELY LEGAL in Switzerland (a small bottle of under 1% CBD Oil) .. WHICH clearly was a mistake and didnt belong on the website. This website was strictly supposed to have NO OIL products to begin with.. and there are absolutely NO MENU items or way to find this product. A worker had BY MISTAKE through their backend Connector sent 1 single product to the wrong website. As we have websites for the oils WITHOUT PAYPAL. This 1 out of 1400+ products was a mistake and didnt belong and was also very clearly so that it had no menu or had nothing to do with thge website to begin with. If Paypal had a brain they could clearly see this. ALSO.. I had never setup PAYPAL on that website.. It was done automatically as when I signed up for SHOPIFY.. they configured my email address as default.. so my Paypal account was also falsly linked through the website.

4.\ Anyways.. as frustrating as that was.. I spent many many hours calling and explaining to paypal the situation and the logic of it all. Apparently Paypal has the worst Resolution Center you could possobly imagine. Paypal does not care about its customers.. they only care about promotions etc.. That is the only reason I can explain why this never got solved. There simply is no logic or reasoning at Paypal. After such a long time and loyal promoter of Paypal.. for 1 single mistake.. which was legal.. yet never intended. 1 product out of 1400+ which OBVIOUSLY never belonged their .. and the website wasn't even live... or nor was that products they complained about ever sold with paypal. They simply decided to find 1 single product out of 1400+ and decided to without warning to close my account.

5.\ I have concluded that Paypal is destroying itself and only getting worse day by day.. After being a 10 years+ loyal customer of Paypal.. I am now removing Paypal from 100+ ecommerce websites and replacing them with Paysafe and others. Paypal has lost my respect and I will never use it again. I never expected such ridiculousness from Paypal.. But I guess they have useless workers and no way resolve such simple issues. They simply do not care about their customers. TRUST ME.. STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL!!

6.\ Now to conclude. Lets get things straight. I had 1 single product out of 1400+ which clearly didnt belong on the website.. was totally legal anyways.. and was never sold using paypal. Without warnbing my account is closed.. which wasnt even setup by me to be using my email address. After many hours and hours trying to resolve with Paypal. their decision stands, regardless of the logic. So after 10 years of use and loyal promoting Paypal as a webdesigner, Paypal has decided to keep my account closed as a result of a COMPLETE and CLEAR mistake. Thanks A Lot Paypal!!! Thats what we get for loyalty!!!

PAYPAL FOR ME IS DEAD ... USE ANYTHING ELSE BUT PAYPAL!
