Saved from Microsoft Support from Hell by PC Sales OnLine Chat Agent Kathleen

I upgraded hardware on my computer and Microsoft invalidated my Windows 10 licence as a result. I went in circles with Microsoft's so-called on-line help for five days and got absolutely nowhere. They kept telling me to go buy another copy of Windows. Plus, it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a chat window where I could talk with a live person. At one point I managed to get into a help chat (I have no idea how) and the person checked some things on my computer and then restarted it. After the computer restarted, I was never able to get back into a Microsoft chat window again, despite trying for four days. I just kept being sent around and around in loops to useless web pages that did nothing more than send me to other useless web pages before telling me that I needed to buy another copy of Windows.

I finally gave up and bought Windows 11 from PC Sales Online and installed it. Then THAT wouldn't activate because it said that the licence had been used previously. I tried again with Microsoft for an hour and just went round and round in the same useless circles I'd been going in for a week. I then went back to the PC Sales Online website and found a support chat window. I opened the chat and talked with Kathleen. Within ten minutes she had walked me through a phone activation which has successfully activated Windows 11 for me.

I've been working in IT since 1972. I have worked in IT support for large installations and have worked on IT help desks. I've been using Windows since version 3.1, so I have considerable experience in IT and with Windows. This is the most ridiculous and horrible IT support experience I have ever had in my life. Microsoft has completely lost the plot.

Thanks so much to PC Sales Online for their wonderful help and for Kathleen's quick assistance. This is the kind of support I would have expected from Microsoft, but it sure isn't what I got. After about five full days of going around in circles with Microsoft and not even being able to contact anyone live who could help me, Kathleen was able to sort everything out quickly and efficiently. I'm grateful to her for preserving what little was left of my sanity after my encounter with Microsoft.

Great response time, the solved my problem fast.

I bought Microsoft Office 2021 download and product key. When I attempted to activate, Microsoft sent me a message that it could not be activated with that key, as it had been used too many times!!! RED FLAG.
Microsoft did give me a workaround by typing in about 50+ characters twice into a specific form so I finally got it activated after another 45 minutes of hassle.

The activation keys worked for my Office 2021 license. When I switched to a new laptop, I reached out to the support and they were generous enough to hand out a new activation key as I hadn't used the previous license due to laptop issues.
