We have been a member of People Like Us for well over 2 years. In that time, we have exchanged almost 200 nights. We have found the community of People Like Us (PLU) to be like family. They have become friends, even from afar. We trust our home to them, and theirs to us, and they never disappoint. The founder and creater of PLU, Drew, has a team of people to help with mentorship or concerns. The community helps and supports each other. We've been to destinations from our Canada westcoast perch from far and wide, including Thailand, the UK, the Canary Islands, Mexico and this summer Ireland and the Netherlands, not to mention local exchanges for quick rests. The world has become open to us, with people who are just like us! We're so glad we joined!

People like us is a wonderful organisation of like-minded people who are happy to HomeExchange. Personally I don’t think there’s a better way to have holidays as you can live like a local, meet other locals, not just tourists and have personal recommendations to guide your trip. So many wonderful trips as a result of this great organisation.

It’s our second time using PLU . What we like the most is that people we deal with are….like us. They are easy and cool and that’s what we look for.

This was easy to set up an exchange contract. Through this platform I had communicated already with the other party and she excepted it right away.

We have only had good experiences with People Like Us. We have used globes and plutos, had a simultaneous exchange and received a globe and all the people we met felt like they were people like us. I love how People Like Us is a values based home exchange site that gives us confidence in exchanges and new connections that enrich our lives.

The concept, the community, the support and friendship- People Like Us has opened up a whole new world in travel for us. I can highly recommend PLU, it’s for sure the best home swapping community (it’s not just a platform!) 😍

People Like Us is more of a family and community than a business. I feel so comfortable exchanging with fellow members on the site because of all the work that is done to verify people. Any time there is a crisis globally, fellow members reach out to help. If an exchange falls through for any reason, other community members reach out to fill in the gaps with accommodations. I would highly recommend joining.

PLU responded quickly to our requests for help in arranging our first exchange (it was the first one for both parties, so we hadn't a clue how to do it properly.)

I am impressed by the quick replies from the support team. There are many great housing options. A really beautiful community.

PLU transformed my way to travel. Having one place to stay simplify organization hugely. I am not investing energy in comparing hotels anymore. Instead, I invest goodwill and friendship in trust-based relationships with fellow travellers. I feel richer in opportunities and experiences without salary increase!

Even my partner, who is more of a homebody, get excited by PLU action. Staying at a real lived-in home facilitates the recreation of an organic daily routine and improves his sense of security.

Preparing for swaps is also a HUGE source of motivation to improve my own home! The more I exchange with other PLUer, the more I find energy and jnspiration to declutter, to update my interior design and to host partys and dinners with my friends in-between holidays.

PLU has been a great experience. The FAQs and mentors help you get started and make things easy. I was hesitant to let strangers into my home at first, but meeting them on video chat and reading reviews have been helpful. We now have new friends around the world and can experience a different culture in an up close and personal way. I’ve found them all rewarding!

Feeling very lucky to be part of People Like Us community! There are so many great people and homes all around the world to explore. My kids keep asking me to visit unique places and they would be out of range without PLU. I am so excited to plan my next exchange! Thank you PLU team for this great gift.

The best and safest website for home exchanges. We have been members for years and we love it! Such a great way to explore the world, save money on expebsive hotell and get to know other families and cultures.

It is a wonderful community. Very trustworthy anf real. And the support team goes above and beyond, if you ever need them.

In the main I have received prompt responses from the people I sent requests too. There was one disappointment however, an exchange with Greenwich which was almost finalised fell through it seemed to me without a valid reason.

However, the 'help' team were gracious and understanding.

Its a lot of friendly people in the community, a lot of houses all over the world and PLU is to be trusted. We just love it! And we love the way it makes us travel!

What makes this community trully special is the heart behind it. There is a feeling of honesty that is rare today and in a time that can feel distant, the kindness here trully stands out.
Drew and Kathy set the tone. They attract warm and genuine people and it really does feel like a "People Like Us/ Me" group where everyone belongs and everyone is valued. Their support is personal and consistent and always kind.
I have had many wonderful exchanges and each one has felt safe and welcoming.
This community brings people closer and creates something genuinely special.
