Was easy to update my car details on my policy.
Bought a new car and updating my policy was straight forward.
Had the option of paying the extra fee straight away or paying it monthly. They even told me the best option.
I was even given the option of thinking if I want to continue or come back later.
I spent 1 year without 20 days
When I asked about NCB , they was a little confused but, I don’t know how, they give me what i asked

Already a policyholder with Peppercorn Insurance, I had change motor vehicle and needed to amend my policy. This was quick and easy to perform using the chatbot. process completed (including security checks in less than 5 minutes).

Had a no fault car accident in December 2023. I wasn’t even in the vehicle, I watched it happen from my living room window.
Supplied photos, videos and 2 witnesses. Obviously a no fault claim and as part of the policy I’m supposed to be able to recover the £425 excess fee through the legal cover.
6 months later and they still can’t provide a refund or place liability for the refund. It feels like once you submit your claim it just sits in a pile of paperwork locked away in a dusty room cabinet. There has never been any updates that I haven’t initiated contact for. I suspect they haven’t even progressed any attempt to place liability.
Absolutely avoid this company, I have lodged a complaint and will be escalating to FOS once I receive what I suspect will be a rotten final response.
To top this all off, to correct an incorrect phone number they had on file for me, which I mentioned on the complaint… they charged me £30 😂
If you’ve sorted low to high on your car insurance quotes, absolutely avoid these as you will regret it if you come to need to use the policy!
EDIT: Please see the laughable and predicted response whereby they deny everything and try to place the blame on the customer. Also please see the quote from the email you sent, even though you’re trying to claim that you didn’t. Even if it isn’t correct that is not my fault and you should stop the automated email from releasing!

Changed the car on my insurance policy and the process was really easy to follow. Update was quick. However the £20 administration fee was high considering that this was AI generated with no human cost attached to it. IMHO a £5 administration fee would be more appropriate in this situation.

Had my car insured last year but they have decided they can't insure me this year and won't renew. I'm mid thirties with an average car, years of no claims bonus, no accidents or points. I've no idea what could possibly make me uninsurable.

Its nearing June and we had a car flood claim in February. We are still waiting payment! Apparently there is an issue with all payments to customers according to Davis Group one of their fragmented partners! Very concerned they are going into liquidation! Shambles non responsive, fragmented hellish experience! Avoid at all costs or you stand to lose your damaged car and not receive payments!! Go elsewhere...be warned!!

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Still trying to make a claim for a non fault accident 6 months later which still hasn't been resolved even though we had witnesses, the police on scene and videos and photos. They have 3rd party companies to process claims and car hire which never contact you and under value your car by £2500 from their own original valuation on the their magical AI website when you take out the policy. Their inspection team I reckon doesn't exist as I got a copy of the inspection report and all of the details were incorrect and even said they didn't know where the location of my car was so clearly haven't even looked at it.
They never call or email you and even when they say a manager will call you back they don't. You write to the CEO telling him about the poor service his and the 3rd party companies are providing and you don't get any response or any escalation to get things resolved. Never an apology and one phone call without chasing in 6 months.
They also have a payment problem from their underwriters Wackam so even if you request the interim payment it does get paid for now over 2 weeks.
Do not use this insurance company or anyone that the Motor Davies group provides a claim service for or Wackam underwriters.
There should be an option for zero stars
And as you can see that they reply to this review saying that they value their customers and want me to get in touch as they will investigate it. Ironically it has been investigated and a final letter has already been issued which most of the information was incorrect.
Therefore I am going to the Financial Ombudsmen to get their view and write as many reviews like this across all platforms to hope that people do not insure their car with Peppercorn. They have no clue what they are doing!!

Today I received a letter from the police telling me my car was not insured. Checked my Peppercorn policy and sure enough it ran out in February. I've had no contact from them about renewing it. Apparently they decided not to offer a renewal, but they never told me. Abysmal customer service.
You say that you emailed me, but I have not received an email from you, and you do have the correct email address.
