I joined the Academy mainly to access the mastering modules as I wanted fresh perspectives in a structured approach.

What’s been genuinely great is getting direct access to top-tier electronic music mastering engineer, producer. Hearing their way of thinking (and not just “settings”) really widens your creative options: you discover different workflows, small but powerful tricks, and tools you simply don’t bump into on your own.

Another strong point: the weekly updates/news. They regularly share useful production resources (including free plugins and Ableton-related tools). That constant flow of new tools is a real boost when you’re producing a lot and don’t want your sound palette to get stale.

On support and community: the group dynamic is positive and genuinely supportive. People help each other, give feedback, and the vibe stays constructive. I also like the balance between creativity and the business side of music — you can go deep into details when needed, but there’s also a clear philosophy and career-oriented thinking behind the program.

Personally, I’m in a phase where I’m shifting from a hip-hop background into more dance/electronic music. Having a platform like this makes that transition easier, both creatively and business-wise, because it helps you understand the approach of the ecosystem and build momentum with solid guidance.

Overall: a strong experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to grow both their production/DJ mixing skills in electronic music and their career strategy.

I had an excellent experience at this academy. During my time here, I learned a lot about music production, DJing, and also how to approach the market from a professional marketing perspective. The instructors are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and truly professional; they constantly support students and create an environment that encourages real growth. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to develop both technically and artistically, and I genuinely feel that this journey has taken me to the next level.

I’ve been part of the PTDJA community since 2022 and everything is so well organised, the support, the lessons, the community itself and you can listen everything now on every stage. The production lessons as well now are something more to consider being part of the accademy. Higly reccomend it in every point.

When I joined I was completely sceptical as I wasn't expecting an online course based website to actually help. But I was soo wrong. The PTDJA team have built such an incredible platform with properly structured courses and also they really encourage the community spirit and supporting people!

As a former MAT Academy Student, I can truly say that the PTDJA brought my producer skills at a superior level! The lessons are exciting and full of useful contents, as well as the special contents from the PTDJA prestigious ambassadors. As an older student who has come back into music. The PTDJA is one of the best run programmes I have been on. It is no nonsense, they don't promise exaggerated results, just the tools to learn or enhance your craft and skills. The opportunities available from being a member of the campus are top level and more than I thought possible. The guidance is straight forward and you can go at your own pace.

Since I have joined the academy, there has been great support, from other members of the community as well as daily updates from the industry. The course itself is well structured and with some good exercises' to help better yourself to becoming a DJ

When I first heard about PTDJA, I felt genuinely excited about the idea of being part of a community where I could share my passion for music with other DJs. That sense of belonging and opportunity was very appealing to me.
However, my experience so far has not been as fulfilling as I initially expected. For example, after being selected to play at the Hard Rock Café in Barcelona, the date was never confirmed. Despite sending several follow‑up messages to clarify the situation, I was eventually informed that the program was “on standby,” which was both surprising and disappointing given the initial communication.
In addition, I have noticed that some participants focus on increasing their scores mainly by sharing social media contacts and actively asking for votes to gain visibility. While I understand the competitive aspect of the platform, I’m not sure this fully aligns with the spirit of building a music‑driven community.
I’m not expecting to win every contest, but I would really value seeing more concrete opportunities to share our passion for music, along with clearer communication and greater consistency when someone is informed that they have been selected. I truly believe that with a bit more structure and transparency, PTDJA could become an even stronger and more inspiring community for DJs.

So far it’s been good to be honest, I’ve been djin and making music for year's… and I feel now I’m taking the next steps to better myself. I thought my DJ/Production years was over, but I’ve taken a complete 180 degree turn… building confidence in myself again and the experience has been very helpful in my new journey 😇

The Pete Tong DJ Academy is an amazing DJ school. The lessons are clear, professional, and very inspiring. I al learning a lot about DJ skills, music structure, and the industry. The tutors are supportive and knowledgeable, and the community is amazing. I definitely recommend this academy to anyone serious about DJing.

I’ve been trying to cancel this for a couple hours now, going round in circles on the website go into manage my subscriptions; there’s no option to cancel. Same if I login on my phone. Why do they have to make it impossible to cancel? Can’t even remove my PayPal account on their website either! So I had to go through my PayPal and manually remove it from my PayPal account, and it’s 2026, not 1999; it shouldn’t be this hard. Nightmare.
