Good service

I went to one of PGR Builders & Timber Merchants’ branches in East London to place a small order, just a few pieces of wood and I didn’t even need delivery. However, I was told they were short on delivery staff and couldn’t process any orders until the following Wednesday.

I found that quite ridiculous, as I was there in person and ready to take the items myself. When I asked why they couldn’t handle a basic order, I was simply told “that’s just how it is.” I suggested they hire more staff if they can’t manage, and left.

Not sure what kind of business they’re trying to run, but it came across as very unprofessional and disorganised.

Always helpful

First time I've used the Rayleigh branch, won't be the last. Helpful driver, phoned when on the way, and even helped me push my pallet truck loaded with ballast up a slight incline. Good quality materials, competitive pricing, prompt delivery.
