Poor customer service

Package was lost, stolen by FED EX at there depot. Phairs was responding to emails but you could not get them on the phone. If you wait 30mins on the phone, which you often do, you phone just cuts you off after 30 mins. They offered a refund and I accepted but still haven’t got it. Not answering to emails or phone now.

Firstly we do apologise if you were unable to get through to us on the phone, we have staff still working remotely leaving only one person to over see the office, we do always advise to email in with any queries as this will be answered within 24hrs.
Please accept our apologies for the courier losing your goods, we have confirmed that they have lost these in transit and we advised that a refund would be processed for you and I can now see this has been completed

Good service and price

Good service and price. However, the heavy compost bags were packed in quite flimsy cartons that had come apart at the seams - full marks to DPD however for the amount of tape they put round them to close the holes and make sure they got delivered intact.

Placed an order last night ' sunday'.

Placed an order last night ' sunday'.
Soon after read the small print about will recieve expired dog food BBD?
my dog has allergies and cant have expired food.
Sent couple emails straight away asking to cancel order and explain my dogs dietary needs of concern.
No awnser, 7.58am monday morning recieved email dispatch notification.
IM NOT HAPPY.
I dont want my order,or give advice on it, they dont awnser phonecalls from 8am?
But are obviousely at work making up parcels! Totally rubbish.
Dont care about customer service or even dogs health.

We're sorry to read that your unhappy with the service provided from us - With regards to your feedback, I can confirm that our office opening hours are from 8-5pm Monday - Friday and our operating phone line is open from 9-5pm Monday-Friday. Our warehouse operational hours differ from the main office. Your order was dispatched from our warehouse at 7.54am on Monday, which is why as a result we're unable to cancel the order.

Also, we'd like to clarify that there is no "small print" on our listing, and we have clearly advised in the product description that the BBD will be within the last few months, which the manufacturer of the product has advised is not an expiry date and the food is ok for animal consumption.

If you wish to return the product a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you with this.

Good price, quick delivery

We have been trying to buy an 'elho grow table with lid' for a while and found everywhere either sold out or would only deliver locally. I stumbled upon Phairs and found not only the price was good but they also delivered to my location. Easy to purchase from and while i had a little concern about the item making it over from Ireland with recent logistic issues i needn't have worried. My item was delivered promptly within a couple of days. Would definitely use again.

Bought metal buckets

Bought metal buckets , really good price and quality .Delivery was quick ,would definitely use this company again , the buckets were used as planters ,so cheap compared to other sites

Buy with confidence.

Kept informed regarding despatch/delivery. Only purchased compost, but it was sent immediately. I consider the prices to be very fair and would definately recommend/use Phairs again.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible!
I paid extra for 24 hour delivery and still waiting for item 4 days later. The customer service department have an awful attitude and really don’t care about their customers, I asked if someone could call me but they continued to email instead of having a conversation. They even had the cheek to say I had requested a redelivery from Royal Mail (this morning) as I need to go out after waiting in 3 days for my item! I had in fact requested to leave in a safe place as I need to go out and get my Xmas food shopping. I only paid extra for express delivery as it was for a Xmas gift and now I won’t see the recipient so it is going to be too late
I requested a refund of the express postage as over 4 days for a 24 hour item is no good. I’m aware of delays at this time of year but they really don’t care and there was nothing on my order to say the 24 hours wouldn’t be fulfilled. I’ve now been told they don’t work at weekends so why take payment for a service they can’t fulfil ??
Very frustrating and disappointed and they only show the 5 star reviews, you need to search for the 1 star and they are similar to mine in that the delivery’s are late even though paying extra for 24 hour
Avoid!!!!

Referring to your dismissive reply today 3rd March, this demonstrates the terrible response I initially received .
The fact that I asked Royal Mail to leave in a safe place (not a redirection) is irrelevant to your terrible service! This was on the 5th day of waiting in for ‘ a next day delivery’
Your sarcastic comment about Royal Mail not delivering on a Sunday ‘since the 16th century’ is further evidence of a business that doesn’t care for their customer at all!
Tie the record, I actually waited 7 days to receive my ‘next day delivery’ item

We're sorry to hear you've encountered a negative experience with Phairs. It is stated on our website that any orders received after 1pm GMT or during the weekend will be dispatched the following working day.

As you placed your order on a Saturday, your order was then dispatched from our warehouse Monday morning as per our company protocol. Also Royal Mail doesn't deliver parcels on a Sunday which has been their stance sine the 16th century. We also at this time, had messaging displayed across our website stating that we were dispatching on time, however due to the coronavirus restrictions and Brexit postal service restrictions which came into place, that courier services were experiencing delays, and we ask for your patience at this time.

The reason our customer service team referred to your arranged redelivery with Royal Mail, was in response to your email your the 23rd stating your parcel still hadn't arrived, however Royal Mail advised on the 23rd you'd rearranged postage for the following day.

We are unable to select the reviews which appear on third party websites, any reviews displayed are managed through set domains and not Phairs.

We're sorry you feel like this regarding your experience, as we value each of customers and their feedback. Unfortunately there were courier delays across the board, and we featured messaging on our website in order to manage customer expectations at uncertain times.
