Ordered a phone on the 3rd of August…
Ordered a phone on the 3rd of August with delivery estimated on the 4th, 5th at the very latest. It is now the 5th and I’ve tracked it to realise my order hasn’t even been confirmed!😭
My fault I should’ve checked on the 4th, just gutted as needed a new phone this week and would’ve went elsewhere if I knew delivery would’ve been longer.
I’m unsure on how they can take money in full without confirming order also

i can't recommend phones direct enough. ashish has consistently gone above and beyond with free collections and deliveries, good quality devices, and excellent customer service. whenever i’ve had an issue or needed help, he's been quick to respond and resolve it.
even though my warranty had expired a few months ago, ashish still replaced my device free of charge, which i really wasn't expecting. i also ended up with an unexpected upgrade, which I‘i’m still genuinely thrilled with.
it’s rare to come across customer service like this these days. thank you again, ashish, i really appreciate all your help!

Phone had unofficial firmware
Phone had unofficial firmware, which meant that there were no software updates from the moment it was received. The person buying was not tech savvy, so only realised after their warranty period. This was reported to Phones Direct as a fault on purchase. Instead of helping to resolve the situation the company denied responsibility as it had been purchased via their ebay channel and so they claimed was nothing to do with them.
