May I ask if before generating the video you are using the filter inside Scene Settings? When you go to Select Visuals, you can filter by category and industry before generating the video. This helps the system choose visuals that are much more relevant for your content.
About the points or credits. Credits are only used when creating avatars or generating AI images inside the Studio. Regular video creation should not deduct points. If you are seeing points deducted for normal video generation, that would be an error and we would like to check it.

Glitches galore. 3+ weeks of fixing these glitches and no end in site. 5+ days of 0 updates. For the $ that is charged by Pictory, service and tech support should be top-notch, not like this. Taking my business elsewhere.

Pictory ai has taught me how to create videos. When l started, l had no clue how and what. However, they did not kick me out, rather they were patient with me as l gradually became a pro. They kept updating me with their updates which were very helpful. With Pictory, l have successfully generated beautiful videos based on my personal journey and spiritual wisdom backed with Bible quotes and citation. Too much creative license
I like it that I can generate a PowerPoint Presentation and Pictory can create a video from it, I do think that Pictory and AI in general does take too much creative license and steers the video in their assumed direction

I started on the free trial and then…
I started on the free trial and then signed up for a paid package, but I was never able to access the paid account. Despite multiple attempts to get help, I could not get a clear or effective response from support.
I kept getting generic AI replies that didn’t resolve the issue or explain how to fix it. After nearly two days of going back and forth with no progress and no access to what I paid for, I documented all communications and canceled.
This experience was frustrating and avoidable. Based on the lack of support when there was a billing and access issue, I would not recommend moving forward.

The AI is incredibly intuitive—it handles the heavy lifting of transcribing, finding stock footage, and syncing captions with impressive accuracy. However, what people need to understand to truly get the most out of this platform is that it isn’t a "set it and forget it" magic wand.

I’m extremely disappointed with…
I’m extremely disappointed with Pictory. I paid for Premium expecting to create videos, only to discover that Premium does NOT actually allow you to generate videos without buying additional “points”. This was never clearly explained during checkout.
The app forces you through multiple confusing screens (style, camera motion, points, upsells) and repeatedly asks for more money even after paying for a subscription. This feels intentionally misleading.
I did not generate or download a single video, yet I was blocked by a hidden credit system. Premium should mean usable not “pay again to actually do anything”.
For professionals and businesses, especially healthcare, this workflow is frustrating, time wasting, and unacceptable. I’ve cancelled and moved to a competitor with transparent pricing.
Pictory seriously needs to fix its pricing clarity and user experience.
