I experienced a few problems trying to complete the details on the app whilst on holiday with a couple of answers not registering so I could not progress. So I contacted Customer Services and the response was swift with exceptional service given to me by Maggie who was so helpful.

Way more complicated than a tax refund should be.
We did not succeed in claiming our refund with this system which requires a lot effort and pictures. All this is done within minutes with other systems which allow you to claim your tax refund by simply filling out a form and presenting your items when leaving the country.
To the point where we now actively look for shops that offer Global Blue (e.g.) rather than PIE VAT

Not able to get custom stamp at GOT airport as info counter who manages the stamping refuses to stamp for pie vat. Bad processing. Will not recommend using

Really easy to use interface, and fast acting customer support. Far less stressful than other tax claim services.

I had some trouble initially working through the PieVAT software, but one of their Customer Service people, Maggie, gave excellent advice. With that input, the application process was fast and efficient.
One disappointing thing I learned was that not all the merchants I used were part of this system. I hope more shops learn how this system simplifies the process for their customers.

Maybe not the app's fault, I have not informed myself properly yet, but when I tried to exercise my right to be forgotten, this is the answer I got (below). For a service that requires so much sensitive information (picture, passport, place of residence, bank details even), this does not make me trust them at all.

There were some technical issues with the application (loading images and such) but this was solved professionally and quickly by a Pie Systems customer service representative. I reached out via the contact us section, had a response within 24 hours and my issue was resolved within 48 hours.

Response time was amazing in minutes. It's an agile system.
I uploaded the wrong statement hence Maggie from Pie was on email talking to me I think it was a matter of a day for a claim to be processed by the Pie team. Excellent customer service. Thanks.
