Extremely Disappointing Experience

I placed an order on 2 January for a Sport Flex Apple Watch Band – Black from pinandbuckle.com and paid extra for express shipping. I waited 2 weeks but still hadn't receive a shipping email. My daughter said it was holiday time so wait further so waited till beginning of February.

By early February, with still no update, I submitted a customer enquiry through their website. A full week passed with no reply, so I lodged another enquiry on 10 February. I finally received a response on 13 February saying the black band was out of stock. At no point had I been notified of this, despite the item being shown as available at the time of purchase.

If I hadn’t chased this up myself — twice — it honestly feels like I never would have heard anything.

I was offered choice of five alternative colours, which I did immediately. My order wasn’t updated until 20 February, and even then it didn’t ship until 24 February and received 3rd March — nearly two months after ordering and absolutely nowhere near “express shipping” by any definition. Received it

There was a brief apology, but no offer to refund the express shipping fee, despite the delivery being massively delayed due entirely to their lack of communication and stock management.

Based on my experience, and after seeing many similar reviews about slow service and poor support, I cannot recommend this company. The product itself may be fine, but the customer service, communication, and shipping reliability were extremely disappointing.

If you are still going to order from them definitely do not choose the express shipping method as it is a waste of money.

Poor sizing for small wrists

Poor sizing for small wrists

Unlike other reviewers, I got my band within about a month. But I hadn't really realized that they're one size fits all. I'm an adult woman with a small-ish wrist and I have to wear it on the next to smallest hole--but the band is so long that there's a truly excessive amount of strap and leather that I have to tuck in and it makes the apple watch feel bulky and distracting. Poor sizing for small wrists and really bad return policy

These guys don’t always help themselves but the product and experience is broadly fine

3.5 stars overall. I would say 4 stars for the product and 2.5 stars for the purchasing experience and support.

These guys do have a bad reputation for late delivery of their bands. They even admitted that they used to over promise and under deliver in their newsletters and were changing their ways of doing things by doing more limited runs and selling certain bands first to newspaper subscribers etc.

But I was desperate for a leather band and didn’t really like the design and looks of a band from another competitor (read my profile for details) after wearing that one for a while. So I ordered one from these guys.

The band had a shipping time of 1 to 3 weeks. Had no updates for three weeks and emailed them. Email wasn’t answered for 3 days and followed up again and also followed up via Instagram. Started to get really annoyed but they finally replied and provided proof that my band had landed in my country yet I never, ever received a tracking link and I told them so in a second email. They never acknowledged that second email.

Their last mile delivery company took a week to deliver my item. These guys also claimed that they were going to send their bands in a box in their social media marketing. That didn’t happen (but I also don’t care).

Ultimately, the bands are of a good quality for the price, look to be well made, and they shipped within the period promised. Their service and attitude towards customers is, however, rather dismissive and transactional.

Poor quality products

Purchased a magnetic clasp apple watch strap. More than 30 SGD and not exactly very cheap. Quality was crap compared to other similarly priced products out there. Used for 1 month or so and gunk began forming at the magnet that I could not remove. Seems like the magnet oxidized or something. Fast forward another 2 months and the magnet fell out. The entire thing is just so bad. Will not buy nor recommend anyone to buy.

DO NOT ORDER FROM PIN AND BUCKLE

DO NOT ORDER FROM PIN AND BUCKLE. I ordered a watch band from them 3 months ago and still haven't received my item. I've exchanged over 20 emails with "John" from customer service, and they keep playing games giving ridiculous updates. Do not waste your time and energy with them.

Do not buy from Pin & Buckle…

Do not buy from Pin & Buckle (unfortunately).

I say this because I have been wearing the Buttero brown leather watch band for the past month and am honestly quite happy with the product and quality. My recommendation stems from the massive delay (website said 2 weeks to ship, ended up being 3 months) and unreliable shipping logistics (will explain below).

1. Ordered late September 2024. Shipping on website said 1-2 weeks (a birthday gift from my girlfriend)

2. Between September 2024 and November 2024, several emails were sent by us every time a few weeks went by with no order updates. Although they replied relatively quickly (1-2 days later) every time, a new delay was reported to us (unprecedented demand, material shortage, etc)

3. Finally in November, we get our first order status update that watch band has shipped from China (UniUni was the shipper).

4. 4 weeks later into mid December 2024, tracking info says watch band is out for delivery in our city. Two days later it says delivery attempted and failed due to no one answered (absolute lie as we were at home and fully alert for a call or door knock). We call UniUni to address the delivery attempt and request reattempt. They call us back and tell us package officially deemed lost (which after 3 months of waiting for a 2-3 weeks expected gift is devastating and frustrating).

5. 3 days later it turns up in our mailbox without any notification update via tracking. Our guess is it got delivered to the wrong address by UniUni, person put it back in USPS mail circulation, and USPS delivered correctly.

If you want to put up with this nightmare, then the product itself is fine. But we will not be ordering from them again as this was absolutely not worth any of the stress and frustration this brought.

Pin&Buckle up - service is very SLOW….

My pin&buckle order was placed on 11th August 2024 and arrived today on 8th November 2024 - on taking my £87.00 order I was not able to find a delivery date for my hand crafted leather Barenua band. Had I realised delivery would be almost three months - I’d have gone elsewhere! No updates from P&B until 3 days before actual delivery & I just thought I’d been scammed. So imagine my surprise when the strap arrived. So - is it a good product? Yea it’s nice but I’d have found similar elsewhere on line faster and possibly cheaper. One star for delivery service. Come on p&b speed up & be more transparent up-front on delivery time - or bulk buy to avoid customer dissatisfaction - I won’t be a return customer because of the above - probs same for other customers - it’s your business & your loss

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. Item never received and takes 3 days for email reply. DO NOT buy from this company. Excuses after excuses with no answers. Having to claw money back through my bank. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
